  1. Well, I'll probably get my girlfriend something special. I've been thinking along the lines of jewelry and chocolates, but if you have a suggestion for me, I'd be happy to hear it! : I think Valentine's day is fine. We need special days for things like this. It just makes life special! Congrats Nadril on the 9,000 posts. Damn, you've been here a while.
  2. If someone seriously brings up the flying spaghetti monster, it is discussing religion. If someone jokingly brings up the flying spaghetti monster, they are insulting religious people. Either way it's a broken rule. Science is based on self-refuting claims though. Science claims that the only way to knowledge is the scientific method, correct? However, the scientific method cannot test itself, leaving the scientific method completely self-refuted. Meh, so what? I'm Catholic, but I still think that joke is pretty funny.
  3. With all the talk on this subject, I'm surprised nobody brought up "The Flying Spaghetti Monster".

  6. That story was really sickening...:uhh:
  7. When we die, the people who were good in life go to Heaven. The people who were bad in life go to the Underworld, where they spend their days watching Three's Company... :uhh: :ohnoes: :uhh:
  8. Huh?! What is this... What do those puzzles do? What about space...? :-s :? :-k
  9. The Great Fish Muffin Incident of '94.. :-k I'm sorry, I have no idea what you're talking about. Simply put: No Cunningham Muffins in my campaign!!!
  10. Add irulepoker to that default list.

  12. Do you have invisible muffins, or blood muffins. I've been dieing to try one of those, but Cunningham muffins doesn't ship to the northern US. :( Invisible - yes Blood - (eeew) I'll work on it Sorry, but my campaign doesn't import from Cunningham muffins... It's a long story about the Fish Muffin...:uhh:

  15. I'd probably just live my life to the fullest until the storms kill me, but I'd also try to find a way to live. I'd spend tons of time with my family, friends, and girlfriend, and I'd do some reckless stuff too.
  16. I miss the fun Pok̮̩̉̉mon games...Pok̮̩̉̉mon's gotten boring...:( I still like Pok̮̩̉̉mon though! :
  17. Join the club. Squeeze me in too! :XD:
  18. The author of this thread is a conformist. That's all I'm going to say.
  19. There's a difference between trying to impress people, and trying not to get beat up/made fun of for the rest of your school year. It's called ignoring them. If people tease you, then tease them back. Stand up for yourself. That's a lot easier in some schools and neighborhoods than others. There's something to be said for not getting your body severely damaged. If it's really that bad, that people hurt you horribly for just wearing a non-offensive shirt, then I'd seriously question just what neighborhood this was. I'd notify a principal or a police officer at once. That's not always very effective. But meh - I'm not going to make this into an argument about privilege :P Just - there's nothing noble about getting hurt and martyring yourself for the "cause" of geekiness... anyway. Instead, I will say: Yay geeky t-shirts :D "Geek" is relative. :

  22. I really, really dislike irulepoker. :x
  23. If you be strong about your opinions, then yes, I think they will work. Stand up to your mom. (Is your problem really this bad?!)
  24. My point here is this: Be yourself. Never surrender individuality. For anything. Period. The death metal concert example sounded like a stereotype...
  25. Here here. Conformity is a cancer on society. It's worse than any kind of a cancer. It's a malignant tumor of the brain! And it's spreading! Get the sedatives! We all need a bit of conformity in our lives. Just don't overdose on it. How so? On certain occasions, not having conformity can lead to embarrassment etc. around your friends and fellow peers. Uniqueness is good, but you just don't want to come off as "strange". For instance you don't want to wear a Cardboard box to school (yes that was a joke from the first page for those who didn't pick up on it  ). I could give many more examples but I think you can get the point from what I said. And as I said previously, just don't overdose on it. Stay Unique , but coming off strange is not the way to getting friends and forming relationships. When you say "coming off strange", are you talking about your own style? I'm a guy, I wear black pretty much all over, and I'm thinking of painting my nails black again, too. I have plenty of good friends who like me for who I am. Should I change what I wear in hopes that a "popular" blonde wearing Hollister will notice me? That, my friend, is surrendering individuality.
