  1. And I've learned the "real" way to change them since then. Yay!
  2. http://forum.tip.it/blog/124/entry-3544-alg-plays-pokemon-vietnamese-crystal-15/ One more update and I'm done.
  3. Remember that test I kept mentioning earlier? Here it is. Except I'm the one that has to take it [spoiler=It goes something like this] This was a lot like what happened when I took the SAT, down to the confusion and the cave filled with dragons. I may have also played with VBA's settings to change the color a bit. Just for reference Luckily, the examiner arrived to take me to the testing location. A house, surrounded by trees, in an underground lake. The usual place for test-taking in America. Wait... What kind of test is this?! [spoiler=THE TEST BEGINS NOW] http://youtu.be/cV0tCphFMr8 ...What? ...What?! ...WHAT?! [bleep] it. I'm done. I knew I should have studied! ...Except i apparently passed. Here it is, the eighth BUDGE, the UPLIFTED BADGE Now I can go challenge the FOUR E- WHAT?! Will do, captain. As I left, the plot called again. I hung up. And after changing the color palette back, I realized left DELAN in the classroom, and went back to get it. I got something else instead. Proving that one guy from the last part wrong. Kanto! Or as this game calls it, GUANDONG! Oh, the nostalgia. But first, I have to cross a waterfall. The game (very helpfully) labeled it for me. Now... Now, we grind! Except for LAPU, since I needed an HM slave Proving that, as Kirschen once pointed out, the universal randomizer is less likely to break the game than the move "Rest" is. [spoiler=Pokedex bonus!] This is actually pretty cool. A+, bootleggers The Kanto locals were very inviting people, Though some were a bit verbose for my liking [Checkpoint reached] GELU couldn't grind because damn near everyone on this route has water/grass. And here it is: the checkpoint Never mind that I couldn't have made it across that waterfall without the badges. The last BAG![bleep]. Treasure it. Long story short, easy fight. The end is in sight. [spoiler=NEXT TIME... ON POKEMON VIETNAMESE CRYSTAL] THE FINALE [spoiler=Behind the Scenes!]

I'll admit that I'm far from an expert when it comes to social situations, but isn't this (usually) not a good thing?
  5. It's all fun and games until you see three teenagers eat a total of 18 pancakes between them, without gaining so much as a pound.
  6. Wait, that's a thing? Time to become Espurr.
  7. It is kind of buggy (or at least inconsistent), though. I mean, I've teleported into a spot and got dropped to half health/stunned before my safety timer expired, once.
  8. I can't imagine that stance being too popular, maybe something to do with that?
  9. It's fast when you have to do the wizard banquet, because the points actually increase as you do well and you don't have to sit through long animations to get them.

    Tasty thing, that.
  11. ...This is a shame, because with all of the damage scaling and buffs they gave low level players, they're probably harder. I've actually had a 160 in Bandos with a GS absolutely crush me, and when I'm fighting a 200 with tectonic/DW!Virtus, the fight tends to be much closer (Note: I'm 195 and had Ahrim/Chaotic staff both times). I mean, they get stun reduction. I want stun reduction... :(
  12. I always love it when that glitch makes the crown come up mint green. So pretty
  13. That would have been funny two years ago. Now it's just whining.
  14. I thought the problem with satire is that there were literally only two or three people in all of human history that could actually pull it off.
  15. They let you cite Wikipedia?
  16. The tutorial is there to teach you that blindly rushing forward will result in you becoming a stain on the wall. I'm not going to say that it's easy, just that the whole point of the game is to be cautious and learn from your mistakes. Once you can do that, the difficulty curve isn't that bad. :-) Except for the Tomb of Giants. [bleep] the Tomb of Giants.
  17. Friend is trying to get me into it noty What? Why not? It's honestly one of the best games I've ever played.
  18. Ah, my mistake. I read more than a few things wrong.
  19. And once again, the worst case scenario is that you save at least some of the rewards for after the event.
  20. If you buy the PS3 game you can pay $10 to upgrade it to the PS4 version. Or you could just you know buy the PS4 version in the first place and save $10.Or like, play them on your PS3.Unless you're like me, who's only realized at the end of the generation that Sony consoles have the games they want and Microsoft consoles don't. Seriously, that lack of backwards compatibility...
  21. He has merely evolved. That, or it's his roommate. Didn't he mention something like that once or twice?

Follow-up from this very thread: For reference, the topic is discrimination against transgender individuals. And... What the [bleep]. That's really all I can say. I thought I was going to be able to approach this calmly, now I'm not sure if I can write about it at all. I knew what to expect, of course, but seeing the statistics changes things, to put it lightly. I'm wrapping this up and I'm genuinely proud of what I've done.

This came up during D&D, and it speaks to me on a personal level.
  24. Welcome to Tip.It. This is what we do here. When making plans its best to look at what you know rather than what you don't. Well, yes. But at times we seem to forget that things can (and most likely will) change. It's like the ports thread: within the first few weeks everyone was enraged at the thought of getting full Tetsu at one plate per day.
