Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
At the risk of sounding like one of those dumb anime nerds who has more money than social skills (Which I would be without question if I was more of an anime nerd and/or had more money)... That's from Death Note, isn't it? Based on the (very) little I know about that franchise, it's probably got a lot of merchandise like that.

RuneScape 2014 - Power to the Players
I dunno, I'm leaning more toward invention simply because Priffindas just seems like old player bait right now, especially since it's being pitted against another highly anticipated update for no real reason. Maybe when they tell us more about it... I'd just rather not vote for another Birthright of the Dwarves when I could have voted for a skill.

Bear in mind that a lot of their recent updates have also had either arbitrary (What skills did you really use for the dwarf finale?) or inflated (Why the hell do you need 80 farming for a second you only use in the low 30s?) requirements. "High-level" doesn't mean high quality.

Might do that soon. Usually too shy for that sort of pic.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm at odds with this section of the forums enough to think it's an awful idea.

If you're going to rework drops, rework them for everything. Getting guam herbs from a monster that requires 85 slayer or bundles of steel arrows from bosses is just pathetic.

Alg Plays: The Pokemon Vietnamese Crystal Finale
Not much to say. This is it. [spoiler=FOUR EMPERORS] This is what my team looks like now. It's not good enough, so I spent about an hour grinding. And more than a few mons needed ENVOLVING This item was incredibly useful, because have you ever tried to train a Dratini in a cave filled with selfdestructing GELU and confuse ray-ing GELU? It's terrible. I saw this screen so many times that it made my eyes bleed. They started mocking me for it! Even the old man got in on it! So I quit. So I made a tactical retreat to resupply And managed to summon an eldritch abomination in the process. After much shipping, I was ready HUDE, whose arms are literal twigs, collected a vast array of swiss army punches. And then I finished grinding. We were ready. December 26th: ELF PRACTISE DAY. Because as an American, I am legally required to not acknowledge Boxing Day. Bold words, from a sound effect. Spoilers he lost But that speech was enough to give me an immense amount of respect for the guy. I mean, seriously, that dwarfs every boss monologue in JRPG history. swoon Anyway, on to the next one. Meanwhile, Koga here seems to be playing Menacing Words Mad Libstm Nice. Neither Erika not I could figure out what was going on here. But I decided that type advantages were overrated and did this. Okay. The next guy is another meditate-in-a-room-fulla-lava [wagon]. Who has apparently strengthened his body to the point where he can ignore convection. This, my friends, is what badassery looks like. This guy's been in the FOUR EMPERORS since the beginning. Of course, HUDE trivialized it. Well... Shit. Sorry guys, run's over, I lost. By which I mean ANOTHER She's a bit nuts, you see... And after that battle, things got... Metaphysical. There we go. FOUR EMPERORS. On to the CHAMPION. My goal since September. Grappling! A wholesome activity for any cape-wearing adult and 11-year old girl to participate in alone! ...I'm going straight to hell for that one. Cue JRPG boss music. His body is ready But of course, I have this, so the worst outcome is mutually assured destruction. I'm willing to count that as a technical win. Eventually, he released every Smogoner's least favorite mon. And then I won. And I will let our friend DU speak the closing words. Except the paparazzi interrupted. And I will let our friend OUJIDUO speak the closing words. [spoiler=Congratulations!] The epilogue! Please ignore the game time, it's less than 1/4 of that [spoiler=The credits!] [spoiler=Behind the Scenes!] So, that's it. Thank you all for putting up with my strange sense of humor and futile attempt to do something here. Vietnamese Crystal's second season will begin in 2014.

Enchanting
This basically grew from a discussion about what to do with all of the runes that are pretty much no longer used in spellcasting, and included turning RC into magic's production skill (among many other things). I just wanted to brainstorm effects for each rune.
-
Enchanting
Was discussed with Le Nain/whateverhisTIFnameis in Hyt earlier, just ironing out effects and such. Uses for non-elemental runes. Charge your equipment with runes to give it temporary passive effects. More runes, more/longer effects, though after a certain point there will be diminishing returns. Enchantments will require runecrafting, and give runecrafting experience, though the exact requirements and amounts will be left to better minds than mine. Mind: Increase accuracy by some percentage, lasting for a number of hits equal to the number of runes. Body: Increase defense by some percentage, lasting for a number of hits equal to the number of runes. Chaos: Increase damage by a small amount, lasting for a number of damage equal to the number of runes. Nature: Automatically collects coins, maybe converts mithril/adamant and below items to coins equal to their low alch value? Effect lasts for an amount of coins proportional to the number of runes (10x? 50x?) - possible skilling applications? Law: Restores prayer at a somewhat slow rate, at 1:1? Death: Bonus to critical chance. Critical hits drain the charge. 1k deaths -> 10k critical damage before the effect fades Blood: Health drain effect similar to Soul Split/Vampyrism, lasting for X health restored Soul: Small experience increase? Drains at 1:1, perhaps higher? Though the scarcity of souls might be balance enough? Balance was not my first priority in writing this, I just wanted to get (my version of) the idea down and see what the rest of you come up with. I've got too much of a headache to do things myself, you see...

11-Dec-2013 - The Bird and the Beast (World Event 2)
And yet, before maxing, the old combat formula was so easy to exploit and so unhelpful that it was the laughingstock of these very forums.. Have we forgotten that? The game doesn't exist solely at 2595. Both you and Jagex should remember that. The game is such an unbalanced mess right now because they've made prestige come before function, often at the cost of everything that EoC was made to combat in the first place. A formula that changes based on what you're using is probably the closest we'll get to a helpful and working formula. Using every combat stat, when they're not all relevant to the fight at hand, isn't helpful.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
I'm an introvert of the "needs quiet to recharge" flavor, sharing a room with someone who has: A) never heard the phrase "indoor voice", B) Very little respect for the ideas of tact, respect, and manners (Read: spoiled little shit), and C) A sleep schedule that's shifted about five hours from mine. Most of the stuff I use for relaxation is a few feet away from him, and I can't go to my usual retreat because it's covered in Christmas junk. Naturally, talking to him doesn't work because he's the sort of person that barely even pays lip service to his own parents. Naturally, this has made me somewhat irritable, and I've been snapping at people for otherwise minor stuff for the better part of a week. Blocking him out with headphones doesn't work because he's often louder than whatever I'm trying to listen to, and if I wanted to catch up on watching something I'd be treated to him "overdubbing" it in a way that suspects he never really aged past 13. Alright, rant's over, back to emotionlessness.

Which would be a good argument for lessening the impact the combat triangle has: say, a mage has a slight advantage over a meleer*, but not enough to guarantee victory. Or just fix up hybrid gear or something. *Aside from the whole "melee is locked to 1 range and mages get all sorts of fun toys" thing, I mean.

11-Dec-2013 - The Bird and the Beast (World Event 2)
Is this the same combat formula that was almost painfully arbitrary and didn't actually tell you anything about your opponent's levels before 138?
-
11-Dec-2013 - The Bird and the Beast (World Event 2)
So that lower level players can actually participate in the PvP side of the event without getting massacred the minute they set foot near a node. The event is for everyone, after all, and it's only really a "reward" because Jagex is shit at balance: if they were at all competent in this regard it would basically just make combat less one-sided (Aren't you one of the people that's usually in favor of that sort of thing?)
