I was wondering the same thing. :-k Little island with 1 runite and 7 coal rocks. Good if you can make rune bars. Would be a nice high alching place if you can make rune bars 8-) .

Gnome gliders, spirit trees and glory ammy teleports have been there since runescape classic. :| Don't hold you're breath if you're waiting for some updates that have anything to do with those weird shapes.
