And from that you concluded that at no point in time humans didn't invent the concept of a higher being to explain what they didn't understand / were unable to replicate at the time?
  2. mmm, how I wish for the days where I could do everything the night before. Now I need a good week, per subject, to even come close :x And I still find myself doing assessment the night before / day it's due. Like this ITP assignment, it was due on Friday... :ugh:
  3. Me. For the amusement factor. Which is another thing I find funny with chick magazines. Even my sister is "wtf-mate" towards some of the rubbish you can read in them  Now that I think about it, I don't even have any guy magazines, per se. Unless the TV Guide counts, then that's the only one :P
  4. Short answer: Anything. Long answer: Anything they can think of.
  5. I prefer Opera. FireFox I probably wouldn't mind expcet that I need (at least count) almost 30 extensions to replicate the functionality that I use frequently in Opera. I have all browsers crash on me at some point. But given the state of my system, I don't know if that a problem with the browser or a problem with Windows. Right now I'll put it down to Windows since all of them (except IE) were stable up until recently :-? And the only reason IE7 will be at the top of the usergroup charts is because it'll be hardcoded into the OS and most people just can't be bothered getting an alternate browser. It's got nothing to do with functionality. If Microsoft ware required, by law, to have FireFox and Opera included in the install of Winows alongside of IE, I'd say that IE will fall behind in how many people use it.

There are other means, but that's the quickest way.

  12. I hope someone shoots him through his glass bowl. That'll learn him good. Damn stooge.
  13. That's what I ask the majority of "magicians" there's about 3 left who really baffle me anymore. But the most are still using recycled tricks.

I can't be arsed checked if this has been brought up before... But I just realised that wouldn't the important thing be why?

You'd be better off watching it from s01e01 than waiting for someone to explain it all to you. But to try... SPOILERS Yes he is. Charlie, Anna and Sayid got find his ballon and whatnot, dig up the grave and watever of his "wife" and find a guys body + id, etc. Sawyer and charlie planned a coup a while ago because Sawyer was sick of being told what to do, and Charlie wanted to make Locke look like an idiot because of the issues with the baby. And they pulled it off without a hitch.

Hm, Walken is on the line, IMO, for A View To A Kill. Nothing against his ability to play bad guys, more so how he was protrayed as a bit of a nutter, more than anything :-? A bit of a pitty really since he suited that role really well.
  17. And it's ours, all ours
  18. What'd happened was each time they go in and out of the moon light they are effectively "restored". And because barbossa had just been shot (as cameron said) and not had himself "restored" the gunshot was still there. Kind of odd to explain, but yea. That's how I've always seen it as.
  19. wow, sounds like they run that place stricter than a max security prison :-? Do places like this have any kind of common sense :-\
  20. If he does that, then it's another win for us. He'll be remembered as the wannabe who killed himself for nothing and not as a martyr.
  21. I can multitask :-?

@GhostRanger: you're using an anology specific to a molecular compound, not the basic building blocks. What my lego world thinks I'm made of doesn't hold much weight since either way I am still composed of matter - which is what my point was all about. To exist, an item must be composed of some form of matter. Otherwise it just isn't there.

can you back that up? Most of the Bond movies apart from 2 or 3 are better than most of the junk brought out in the last 5 years.
  24. That's all well and good if you have enough fresh water to actually pull that off. But the energy required to make that a viable power source, atm, is more than is produced. At least last time I was aware of such experiments :-?

hm, i don't agree with a lot of that list (for both heros and villans) but I guess if you HAD to take cultural impact into account, yea... I guess it'd be hard to pass over some of them :-? But some of them are just "ok......." :ugh:
