  5. I was under the impression that's what Not Another Teen Movie was :-? Sure felt like it despite not actually ripping off the spoofs. Guess it just came in at a bad time. At least it made me laugh.

  9. Ugh, when the hell are they going to stop wasting money on these pos movies :x The first one, I admit, was ok. Second, a bit bland. Third, just hopeless. Now it's just scraping the bottom of the barrel. I cbf wating for their stupid flash site to load so anyone knows a direct download to the trailer for it, post it.
  10. Savind money doesn't mean I can't buy DVD's anymore. It just means that I'm not going to spend over ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì400,-- for one movie. :P But you will spent 400 on multiple DVD's instead ;) Anyhow - I'm trying to find a place with the Alien Quadriliogy in more than just all single-sold :x
  11. Bugger all food would be the biggest embarassment. There's like.. 4 slices of bread in wrapper. 1 bottle of milk with about 2" left Half a jar of tomato paste 1" of coon tasty cheese And about 4 things of margarine And fat for cooking.
  12. Honestly, how the hell? And I thought getting these in the Arenascape and Off Topic forums was whacked :-?
  13. What happened to saving your money Daan?
  14. @Omishlash: Yep, I added up my net charges to date: AU$14,839.76 ($3709.94 per year) US$10,819.70 ($2704.92 per year) Even if I factored in the cost of living on campus for a year.. So thats perhaps another 5K per year depending on which option you take. Which is another AU$21,840 (US$15,923.50 - max) over 4 years. Resulting in a net total of AU$36,679.76 (US$26,743.20). There are other once-off fees which put another $800 or so into the cost, and there is things like food and whatnot, but meah. Still a damn sight cheaper than the USA  @Death_By_Pod: Really? Can't say I'm suprised. Personally I think Griffith is a bit of a hole (then again I think a lot of places are a hole, so that doesn't say much). But yeah, we just can't be arsed wiping notes off the boards. Had a lecture once, lecturer put her mobile number on the board. Came back the next week, it was still there. Go us, lol.
  15. Man, that's nuts. Are all those prices per year or what? :-? I got a total of AU$18,000 (roughly) for 4 years of Uni. Then again I didn't live on campus, so that helped keep the cost down some :)
  16. Yo omishlash - can't say I've seen you around much :| That's pretty dodge about the parents forcing you. But it seems like you got a nice way out of that drag net of a situation. And since I got bugger all idea about US stuffs, how much is the difference between KU and the last 3 you mentioned :-?
  17. Seriously, I was like "is this another emo post.. i wont even click it" Then i just figured I better read it so the offtopic flag on the index was "all read" Damn that was a sweet week. I'll have to checkout the pics when I get home (trying to save quota at uni :()
  18. Admit it, you want to be Indiana Jones :P As for me, I'm finishing the final (hopefully) year of my IT Degree at Griffith University.
  19. I basically agree with bloodmourn. Show, don't tell. Is a key rule to stick by when writing. It allows you to build an image of the characters, events and places - adding to the experience. When done well, the reader doesn't want to stop. And there is also the punctuation and structure. Once you sort out detail, that tends to fix itself up fairly well but still requires a bit of touch up work. Also, when you have multiple people talking, new line for each person, ie: "Oi Max!" I whipped my head around at the sound of my name, fast enough to pull a muscle "what is it Tom?" "Catch!" Tom threw a small bag in my direction. It fell short a good two meters. "Thanks" I mumbled to myself. Is a lot neater and readable than: "Oi Max!". I whipped my head around at the sound of my name, fast enough to pull a muscle "what is it Tom?", "Catch!". Tom threw a small bag in my direction. It fell short a good two meters. "Thanks" I mumbled to myself. One final thing, perhaps, is write with your heart, then with your head - ironically a movie quote but quite true. Just write what comes to you then go back and edit it. While this doesn't always work some, it is brilliant for others.
  20. Author -> Alphabetical. If you need an algorithm for that.. too bad! Find a sort algorithm on the internet for sorting strings (any programming language) and you're done. There is also publish date and by title (alphbetical again). Both with practically the same algorithm..... *shrug*

    Most egotistic-moron: Striker6 I agree with Daan.
  22. Personally, i've found it to be more like PCI-E ~ AGP > PCI. So long as you aren't using PCI, there shouldn't be much of a problem. PCI-E seems to be leading the charge at the top-end. But for everything else, AGP and PCI-E are fairly even :)
  23. Was it worth it? :hsugh: I watched Dinotopia a while ago. Seems like the tv stations around here are prefering to lump mini-series together instead of splitting them up (did it with Gullivers Travels not too long ago either). Anyhow, I've never really liked it much - it's good. It's just... the first "half" is [cabbage] IMO. And in the ah, 3 hours or whatever, the last 30min is all that seems to matter much. 5/10 - it's good they develop the characters some, but in all honesty, just took too long to get anywhere... And then there have been all the Star Wars movie's that I've seen aswell. Well, damn. Let's just say > 7/10 for all.

Cheapshots at a countries goverment is a horrible thing to do. It shows how immature you are and only provokes more flaming. That it does. I found it funny :( And as stated before, Flaming is a term specifically for online-communications (forums, chat, etc). You aren't going to get away from it - no matter where you go (except perhaps if you become a hermit or something :ugh:).
