What if you're the son of the guy who invented pokemon :noes:
  3. Just post the name of the kid and be done with it.
  4. I'm not good with happy photos :( Best bit of advice is only use cliche shots (see reddawn's post) as a last resort. Other than wandering about with your camera and just taking photos of uplifting things / moments / etc. There isn't much else I can really say about it - other than staging the shot :-?
  5. I'll give you a cabbage to /yourself - deal?
  6. There's a bit on TMNT2 when perry is making the anti-mutagant and he's all "Pass me the and Michaelangelo is all dumbfounded so perry points him to a bottle and then Mike is "Not to criticize science or anything but wouldn't it be easier to call it..the pink one?" :D

Did you at least get your venturer chord :P I did bugger all work in venturers, but I at least got that :)
  10. I'm too lazy to type it all out...

I want to the 19th Australian Jamboree/22nd Asia-Pacific Jamboree :D Last world Jamboree I could've gone to was the one in Chilli - only one person in my district went to that :( Never going to forget the cauldrun at springfield, that thing was awesome.
  12. Rule 4 by itself rules it out.
  13. In for movie failure.

Can't say I have ever seen that side of things before. Almost every single group I have visited / seen has had a good 4 or so females. All of them just like anyone else. In some cases, better than and more respected than some of the guys. Fear of "distraction", IMO, is a weak excuse. Inability to keep people focused is the fault of the patrol leader, and or leader. The female has nothing to do with it. I've seen plenty of things distract males before, and I can honestly say that females ranked fairly low on the list. Their boy-ish obsessions (cars, sports, etc) dominated over anything else. The only reason the no fraternization rule actually existed was to give the leaders and patrol leaders a baseline to stop them being, "unprofessional" really. Just like in the workplace. Which is perfectly reasonable.
  15. mmm, Java is used a lot within the mobile devices market. But outside of that you're looking at C / C# / C++ / Objective-C dominance. There's the occasional language like 4th Dimension that can give C (and derivatives of) a good challenge. And just on the connect of 'web apps' and java - no. A server-side scripting language (php, asp and cgi) puts java to shame for almost EVERYTHING. Why people keep on using java for them is beyond me, it's fastly falling behind :x

Works here. Although their 'no fraternization' rule did end up being a bit of a joke within my crew eventually
  17. Heh, Never had DST here. But NSW and Victoria does. So QLD people with things like cable tv and whatnot get thrown an hour out all the time. And people living around the border get uber screwed. They have to wake up like 2hrs "early" just to get to school / work on time if it's on the other side of the border. Just stupid IMO.
  18. Lol, what a pimp. Stupidest thing I've gotten in trouble for was asking a question. I couldn't read the guys writing so I asked what it said and he fully flipped out :-\ Said something about me being illiterate and 'not supposed to be here' *shrug*
  19. Ya Rly. Although, the people I travel with give lengthy warnings, so that generally helps - along with making sure I got a clear run before doing anything stupid.

Quit. Started in Cubs, through Scouts into Venturers. And what's with having 'boy' before it now :-\ I've always only known it as Scouts. Granted it was originally just for males (as Girl Guides remains females only) but not anymore :x
  21. Actually, that lesson is the only reason I posted this :| This still won't stop me doing stupid things like that. Poor kid :(

Not every sketch has to eventuate into a pixel, Lowgravity. Personally I welcome the apparent "roughness" even if it is the starting point of another type of sig.
  23. Perhaps if you actually read what it is about sometime you'll realise the difference in rating systems?
  24. Being emotionally attached to something you don't want isn't much more above being emotionally attached to a brick. Not a great example, but they both have, IMO, as much life as each other. If it was a wanted pregnancy, then it'd be different. But to the host, an unwanted baby really is just a paractic organism. With all due respect, it wouldn't be much more than a cist. I'll admit now that I was harsh, but I'm not going to appologise for it.
