Kansas School Board Votes Against Science
I know that Hannibal. And I also know that no matter what happens, religion will most likely always be around, so whatever :P

Kansas School Board Votes Against Science
@insane: You do realise that Matt's statement is a generalization? I applied historical information accurately to it and you simply dismissed it because of the dates? IMO that is blatent denial of the event. Society pretty much stood still during that entire time. There was social improvements during that time but religion had next to nothing to do with most of them. All that aside, Matt is still correct. The benifits which religion brought were exhausted centuries ago. Religion might be holding society together as you say but until you can show me that it is moving it forward...

Kansas School Board Votes Against Science
Nice way to deny that it ever happened

Kansas School Board Votes Against Science
Religion wasn't close to being a form of science to early man. At least not from what I have read about it. Granted science was highly accepted during the Greek and Roman domination of Europe but their religion was far from being a form of science. I'm not sure what else you could be refering to?

Kansas School Board Votes Against Science
Actually, Matt is quite right about Religion holding back the development of society. It (science) was suppressed by the Christian Church soon after the collapse of the Roman Empire and remained like that for almost 600 years. It wasn't untill science regained more acceptance that society started moving forward, technologically. And even then it wasn't till the 16th century or so that things really started to pick up again.

Stabilizer - A project called red
ISP > Everything I have done. My torrent is set up PERFECTLY. I know this because it works fine when I'm hooked up to another ISP at LANs and such ;) And just for the record, this is what I did to try and get it to work at home: I've allowed * on all ports using * protocol. put my computer in the DMZ Turned off NIS Forwared all ports to my network IP address Still nothing.

What is better: Microsoft, Apple, Linux or Unix?
 Are you looking for a ban?

Stabilizer - A project called red
If I could get it direct via FTP or HTTP at my usual 30kb/s I might have other ideas. But having to sit through the 5kb/s MAX download I'd get off a torrent just doesn't make it worth my time.

ASIO raids on suspected terrorists in Australia
The media need to tone it down a bit. ASIO and the Federal police were just doing their job. The amount of coverage the raids got was just pointless. The important facts were said in a minute or so, then the next five or whatever was just random crap to "brag" about it. They (the media) aren't helping the situation much :-?

No Runescape on Mozilla Firefox
Download and install the latest Java from Sun and it should work :-? And it usually helps to make sure that Java is enabled in FireFox aswell.

Online poker
I've only lost out big once before ($300 in one hand). But I tend to make more money overall than I lose so whichever. I play before I go clubbing just to increase my spending money :P

Tallest friend you've ever had?
Height? I got a friend who is perhaps... 130-ish cm. I got a pic him and Matt (tall guy I mentioned before) at my Formal :P I'll have to put it up tomorrow when I can find the album ;)
-
Specs... everyone loves specs
Probably about AU$3000 - $3500. The cooling for all the OC'ing will be another money sink. Would have to be a high end evaporator to keep the CPU cool with the OC it's carrying :P

Tallest friend you've ever had?
lol, Daan is the tallest person I know probably... actually, I got a cousin who is probably just a bit taller than Daan :-? Not entirely sure :P But IRL and friends, maybe 190cm or so. I wouldn't have a clue.

How to read a Hijack This log...
You got a few unneeded entries in there but nothing serious. The Global Startup O4's which don't point to anything can be fixed. All the O16's can be fixed aswell if you feel like it but don't have to be.
