Since when are schools on their own Jurisdiction? I talk from experience. There's yet to be a school-yard fight here where the police have cared about it. The only time they have ever been involved is when the principle has felt the need to take it further. Parents who have tried to have students charged with assult have been told to direct their complaints to the principle or the board of education if they weren't satisfied. They didn't even get into a courtroom.

I have. I was rather densensitized at the time too, and that event effectively left me ah.. unwilling to sustain emotional attachments to anyone. I may have been cold before, but after it was a lot lot worse.
