  1. Notably, my first run had only Mordin die. Apparently he's not built for a "hold-the-line" scenario.

I love programming shenanigans, I really do >__>. Screw pointers.
  3. Damn, was hoping you'd not remember that loophole.
  4. Dehydrated Urine should be a dark yellow not green? Green would indicate some sort of infection. Girls and arguments; they will never drop it even when they've clearly got there point across and they're right. Agreed on the second, and dehydrated urine should be a dark yellow. It's supposed to be clear, but point being.
  5. Beat ME2 so far as well, though Tali died on the last mission yet it never showed me how. Oh well, never really cared about her anyways. There are a few ways she bites it. [spoiler=SPOILERS.]She might die if you don't have every ship upgrade. Having her head the fireteams at all or do the infiltration section while unloyal guarantees her death. Notably, she's best for the infiltration, it's just loyalty is the determining factor. Having her in the hold-the-line scenario might get her killed as she isn't built for combat, but it depends on who is alongside her. You'd need at least a lot of strong members to make sure she doesn't die. And ALL must be loyal. The trick to this one is that each member of the squad has a "defence" value assigned to them and is modified by if they're loyal. In order of death priority if the "defence value" isn't reached is as follows: any non-loyal squad members, Mordin, Tali, Kasumi, Jack, Miranda, Jacob, Garrus, Samara/Morinth, Legion, Thane, Zaeed, Grunt. In other words, Grunt is the best at holding the line. If you use her to escort the survivors back (provided you didn't screw around after the crew gets abducted), she must be loyal to guarantee she survives. Otherwise seeker swarms get her. Also, if she is not loyal during the final battle, she'll die when the platforms are knocked downward. Hell, you can go after the base early if you're so inclined, the game just makes it clear that doing so is a very, very bad idea.
  6. Haters gonna hate. This idea is great, after some discussion... I might have to reinstall acquire through less scrupulous methods the game.
  7. Pointless, yes, but it pales in comparison to what Kotaku did. Holy [cabbage] that was a terrible layout change.

I love free chicken mcnuggets. As it turns out, my friend Ashley bought way too many, so free = awesome  Until they get some of the floodwater out of my neighborhood, I'm crashing at her place tonight, should be good.

CoD as a series needs to just die off. They've shafted the PC players so badly it's painful, when they shouldn't be doing that in the first place. When a game forces it so dedicated servers has to be on it's fact sheet instead of being assumed like any other good multiplayer FPS, you know something is wrong.
  10. It'd be nice to know what is being recorded, but an actogram records activity throughout the day, so the y axis in this case is representing the day and the x-axis is recording the hour of the day. Between each hour is how much activity is occuring. I think.
  11. Look around a bit more, when they first demo 3rd person and when the spell user casts a spell i the cave. The water effects looks well done there; the white water rapids water is very strange looking at the moment, but it is pretty accurate to real life. They just need to improve the texture quality a bit. I was more referring to the flowing river.
  12. They could have gotten the water right. It just seems... off.

    Unions

I personally don't like it. It seems as though it's taking more power from the public sector than it should. Limiting their bargaining power to negotiating wages? Fine. But cutting pensions means you're effectively halving or if my math is wrong, even quartering retirement pay in essence which shouldn't happen, and they shouldn't need to pay for health care in the first place, as that should be universal and free to the public with a private option available to those who can afford it. Mind, the public side of this should prioritize groups like smokers last to be sure that those that need it get it first, but still. I don't like it one bit. This seems more like a move to give more power to the corporations than it is limiting the worker. It's essentially a double-edged sword aimed at the public.
  14. This seems to apply well here, really you guys are getting way too hyped over a trailer that didn't show anything. Atleast with the oblivion trailer you got an idea of what the story was. So unless the story is "go kill dragons lul" it didn't show much about the game. We'd be way too overhyped if we creamed our pants or whatever. I'm only impressed by the gloriously reprised Elder Scrolls theme.
  15. The shotgun is it's own problem though when it instantly kills you through shields, or they just rush you as soon as they see the grenade as it takes a bit to be able to fire your weapon again. Those with headphones are a nightmare as they will hear you before you get there unless you sneak, and even then. There are no other weapons that can claim that other than the rocket launcher and a sniper headshot. And as for armor lock, that's a necessary evil. Seriously, I'd rather survive getting rocketed, thank you very much. And you can line up an easy melee kill as they can't move or aim while locked. Snipers are difficult to aim perfectly, but wait, there's the sticky aim assist. And rocket launchers can be dodged as they aren't quite hitscan.
  16. The trailer on it's own was kinda neat, but the music. Dat music. It's glorious.
  17. Heh, there's another name from the woodwork. What's with all these older posters showing up randomly?
  18. Disagreeing with you equals trolling? Didn't some dumb cooze from the relationship thread do the same thing? Some of us just admit that Zynga games aren't even games by any reasonable definition of the term.
  19. This troper agrees. As does this troper.
  20. Zynga games is as casual as you can get. Farmville is like Runescape, except the only skill is farming and you can't do anything with the crops. Farmville isn't even technically a game as far as I'm concerned. At least Runescape, of all things, was a bit entertaining and you learned a little from it. Farmville really has no derivable entertainment value and it costs money a la those Korean free MMOs, which means those that don't want to spend money won't see anything from that game. Farmville isn't a game, it's a chore.
  21. Probably because everybody assumed everybody knew about it. Not to forget I mentioned it on the post before his.

I've also gutted a deer for meat. It's a hell of a process, taking easily 5-6 hours for 40 lbs of meat if you're lucky.
