for £100k would you let your parents...
I guess it depends on your age. Most parents probably wouldn't want their teenage son to risk getting a disease, becoming a father, getting in trouble with the law, etc.

Is God real post your thoughts!
Because going by science and logic, everything must have a cause. How does this explain this very moment of time in the present? There had to be a first cause, and that cause couldn't have something which caused that (or else we couldn't exist because something with an infinite amount of causes would not exist). Therefore it's contradictory to our current scientific and logical system. And...? Purpose is the word used here to describe god's intentions for creating us. Just because we thought of the principle of "purpose" does not mean god's intentions do not exist. If there is a purpose then there is a creator. Objective is another word for purpose. Why else would anyone create something if they weren't trying to achieve an objective? I guess you could argue that the creation was an accident and by this you'd be right, but I choose to be more optimistic than that. Now I'd like to hear your justification on why you think that there is no purpose. Are you trying to say I know god exists? I do not. Definitely not. I do not even "know" if I am not just a brain in a jar because there is always that infinitesimally small chance that I got things all wrong - and this is just how things work. We "know" nothing, but I don't see this as a reason to stop using the word "know" altogether. The word is used because it's quite silly to take that 0.000000000001% chance of being wrong into account every single time you make a claim.

The BNP - Nazis or just misunderstood?
What's the point of having an African interest group? I can understand a bunch of blacks getting together to establish a group that is modified and fixated towards black interests but when they make an official rule where only blacks are allowed then it is racist.

Plus they'd probably feel more comfortable that our sex life is on the internet instead of with real people. I would most likely do it if I got the chance to explain that all my weird searches were only for the purpose of research. For example, I Googled bestiality and heroin to read about them on Wikipedia and such.

Strip Searching A Thirteen Year Old
I realize I probably shouldn't have specified the number of people, but the fact that it is enclosed does not automatically make it less a psychologically traumatic experience. My point wasn't really about the chance of them raping or assaulting them, but more of the nervousness they will still be experiencing. Some people are already uneasy when they're in a room alone with a handful of strangers and add partial nudity into the equation and you get a mess. They are two different things. You go into the gynecologist fully knowing the purpose of it and what is going to happen. When she went to school that day, she had absolutely no idea what she was going to have to go through. It was unexpected and not even for a good reason at that, unlike gynecologists. It was also against her rights. I'm not sure about this or not, but are women ever forced to go to one?

Strip Searching A Thirteen Year Old
It's psychological so it's different for everybody. The idea of the public not being able to see you might make you feel a little better, but then again the idea of stripping down in a secluded area in the presence of only one human being with no witnesses can cancel that out. It should also be taken into account that not everybody is comfortable with their body. I am cause I'm sexy, but like I said these psychological factors are different for everyone. You might consider the fear of having others see you in your underwear as completely irrational, but the same could be said about fear of needles.

Do you think Metallica was justified in suing Napster?
I used to hate the album in comparison to Kill em All, Ride the Lightning, etc. but it just grew on me somehow.

I don't know whether to take "mature" as having a positive connotation or a negative one here.

I'm no scientist but doesn't the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics prove that the universe did not exist for an infinite amount of time? I remember reading something like that from Insane's posts.

While it does not automatically lead to us having a purpose, it does look a lot better for us than if there was no creator. If something is created that implies that someone is striving to achieve an objective through the means of an entity. Think of a builder - he makes the a chimney (entity) in order to release smoke (objective). I couldn't agree more. If you ask me, religion is just a wall in the way of god. That's another issue though.

Do you think Metallica was justified in suing Napster?
I agree that he isn't that great, but St. Anger was definitely quite a piece of work. It's the song that got me into Metallica and ultimately metal so I give that song a lot of respect for drawing me in like that. I don't think I feel the same way about this. I see music as a necessity to life. Yes, I really do. I'd probably end up killing myself if I ever went deaf (don't hold me to it, but that's how important music is to me). I'm not trying to say that you don't value music as much as me, but it's one of the only things in my life that I have to hold onto. Music fights depression, loneliness, hopelessness, you name it. I'd even venture to call it a medicine. Music should be a medium of communication to inspire or influence the audience rather than something that's generated in a machine-esque fashion, bought and sold. Music should be the concern of humanities, not economics. Music should be treated as art, not as stocks. I also don't really enjoy the idea of intellectual property. Bands do deserve credit and they do deserve an income for the work they put into making it, but I there should be a line and I feel that Metallica crossed it here. The second you release an idea out into the world, it is not yours anymore - it is the world's. Besides, some other person's creation probably inspired you to put that idea out there so it's not like you should be considered absolutely responsible for it - the world helped you create that idea. (The key to creativity is hiding your sources.) Do you deserve recognition? Yes. Do you deserve profit? Yes. Do you own all rights to that material? No. I don't know if that was directed towards me or you are just speaking generally, but I have bought all of their albums except a few and didn't download any illegally. This thread is more of a discussion than a rant. :)

Runescape's Strengths
I never thought of it that way. It's kind of like Pokemon. It sucks if you only level one Pokemon to 100 but if you have a varied party with different moves and abilities then the quest for 100 is much more fun, even though it's practically the same thing.
