Okay, let's say a parent buys chicken nuggets for his four-year-old son. The boy eats the chicken because it's in front of him and it's his instinct to eat. Does this mean the boy thinks it is okay to abuse chickens? No, he just wants to use them to live. You make it seem like eating meat means you are no different than someone who forces animals to fight each other to death and makes a game out of it. You are saying that because I eat meat, I also condone animal abuse because there is animal abuse involved in the meat industry. I don't think it is a good thing but what can we do about it? Like mentioned many many many pages ago to you specifically, it is the intent that matters. We're sorry that they don't have good living conditions. But as a consumer, what are we supposed to do about that? Blame the factory workers, not the chicken eaters. I don't agree with the conditions they are forced in, and saying that I do is a strawman. I only said it's fully justifiable to eat chicken - not to treat it badly in the factory. Don't tell me that my eating chicken automatically means I'm fine with the treatment they get in the factories. No, instead you're the one comparing entertainment to food. "We need to eat this chicken in order to survive" is not the same thing as "we need to abuse this chicken because we're bored". I used to be a participant of the underground bandwagon too but then I grew up and realized that it doesn't matter what the world thinks of the song. It matters what I think of it.

I do think there are better techniques. For one - sticking up for yourself (but not looking like a doofus at the same time) seems to be obviously and brilliantly effective. Of course this doesn't come easily for many, and school administration cannot say this due to fear of parents suing. :P

I meant something should be done to prevent kids from even wanting to do this in the first place. In situations like these, usually more than just the kid is to blame. It could just as easily come down to the peers if they were bullying him, or the teachers and parents if they weren't taking proper action. We need a change here. I think most of our modern anti-bullying "techniques" are somewhat counterproductive. If you tell an adult, you'll just get picked on for being a tattletale.

What if there was no such thing as reality, we're just reflections of what "could be" instead of "what is"? Maybe we are just imaging the world - and the world is simultaneously imaging us. I believe one part in it says that you control how you look.

I used to feel the same way, but more is needed to justify it other than "it doesn't affect me". Technically, sexual acts such as pedophilia, bestiality, and necrophilia don't affect you but of course we think they are wrong anyways. I think the main thing to look at here is the consent. If two males give their mutual consent to have sex, then it shouldn't be considered wrong. There is no consent with corpses and animals - and even with children who willingly give their consent, it's still a bit cloudy because we can't leave it up to children to make decisions like that, especially when they're not even allowed to vote.
