This is NOT a real pixel, I did it in GIMP (following this tut) but I think I can still get some C/C on it, yes? Mostly on the shading, I know it's crap... I suck at shading, so halp plz?

I was randomly wondering which sort of art is most popular in the Gallery. One would assume digital art... But perhaps people who are known for their sigs also do other sorts of art? I draw mostly, using pencil and ink for lineart, and usually colored pencil but sometimes marker. I do some sigs in GIMP and I've tried my hand at drawing in GIMP... Not very pretty, as I don't have a tablet. I think if I had a decent camera I'd probably take a lot of photos; but I don't have a camera so too bad. So what sort of art do you do, and what programs/mediums/cameras do you use?

@ armybuilder: I'm not quite sure what you want, is there a render/stock I can use?... Or you just want Sara <3 Twilight in the text?... Yes now I think that's it. I can do that for an avatar, and for the background I'll find a render/stock, is that cool? Size of avatar I'm assuming as 100x100. I will say MERRY CHRISTMAS to anyone I want to and I will set up a CHRISTMAS TREE AND A NATIVITY SCENE AND NOBODY'S GONNA STOP ME!!! Also this is just random, but in the UK they say Happy Christmas, don't they?

Due to my restricted account, I can't click on the Advanced option, but it shows up as opening with WMP. I'll ask my dad to take a look at it though, probably tomorrow. Also I'm not sure, but when I insert an audio CD into the CD drive this happens, it's not when I'm trying to play music that's already on the computer... I don't know if that matters though. Thanks to everybody who has given some help, hopefully I'll figure this out.

People have a tendancy to do that and not help at all, in my experience... You ask for CC they tell you it's absolute crap and 'go look on deviantart for tutorials' Well that's good quality help there, that is... :roll:

Make sure she knows you care about her and you will miss her a lot if she kills herself. Listen if she wants to talk. Just generally try to be there for her and maybe ask (I don't know if I'm phrasing this right) if she would be willing to try to find some sort of help before you can go get her; just so you can be sure that it won't be too late or something like that.

Black Friday= SCARY SCARY DAY. Last year, at a Wal-Mart like ten people got trampled when it opened when people ran in a mad rush for the door... But yeah, tons of good sales and stores open really early.

Apparently we're getting a new HDTV and a Wii if we can find one as a 'gift to our family' ( :XD: ) I'll probably get a lot of gift cards to bookstores and stuff... Go buy some D&D stuff or an mp3 player (still don't have one). My grandma always gets me a lego set... I have probably at least a million legos. Idk what I'm getting my mom though... For her birthday (a few days ago) we got her a new CD-R/DVD-R drive and a stuffed animal... For Christmas she's bought herself some pajamas... She says my brother and I can give them to her... We do that, buy ourselves presents then pretend we're suprised when we get them.. Also this reminds me, there's a dragon figure she bought on clearance (I was there and told her to get it) like two years ago she still hasn't given me... :lol:

In my Control Panel, I don't have Default Programs, but something labeled "Disc Detector" which used Creative Playcenter... And so that obviously doesn't work as before this was installed, WMP opened CDs, not Playcenter. I changed it to WMP anyway. There's something else called "Nero Burnrights' but admin access is required, and I doubt that's relevant to playing CDs. Still didn't work; put in a CD, opened WMP (I did), and it automatically opened the Nero thing. I could close it this time though... I think before it froze or something. Any more ideas, please?

I forgot about the relish tray... My family could have Thanksgiving with rolls and the relish tray and everyone would be happy... My cousins and my brother love bread and we also have an obsession with pickles/olives. DEVILED EGGS FTW!

Thanksgiving (in the US) is supposedly celebrating the first harvest that the Pilgrims spent in the New World. The Pilgrims came from England seeking religious freedom on The Mayflower. Story goes that they eventually befriended a Native American named something like Squanto and he taught them how to grow food and they hunted game and celebrated with the tribe. THEN THEY ALL DIED! MWAH HA HA! ... Actually a lot of them did eventually die, they got into a fight with the Native Americans and then a lot of them starved... Anyway it's an excuse to eat a heck of a lot of food and you're supposed to be thankful for what you have.

So my mom got a nice new Memorex DVD-R/CD-R drive with the LightScribe thing on it. My dad put it in and so installed all the idiotic software that came with it. It's some sort of Nero 7 essentials suite or some such crap. It decided to attempt to play my Mannheim Steamroller CD when I just wanted to play it with Windows Media Player (IT WASN'T EVEN IN THE MEMOREX DRIVE, IT WAS IN THE OTHER ONE). And now it won't let me close it or select anything on it. I can end it only by going to the Task Manager... It's Nero Showtime 3 Essentials. Does anyone know a way I can get it to NOT automatically decide to play my CDs for me? I'm running Windows 2000 and I do not have an admin account, and we can't remove it from the computer (because you have to use other bits of the software to burn CDs/DVDs). Also it's interfering with CD playback on WMP when it's not running... Well it is running, it has a tray icon... I checked the preferences and there's nothing to get it to not play. Sorry it's actually a bit of a rant but I hate when random software interferes and it won't let me do anything about it... Does anyone know how to stop it?

I'm using GIMP 2.46 on Windows 2000 and it won't use most PS brushes. 2000 is fine, actually I like it more than XP (because my XP came with a ton of CRAP extra on it)

I love how everyone thinks I actually take time to blend renders. I hate doing that so I don't... :D Yeah I'll try to do something with the text, I just don't think the font goes well with the rest... I might try a different font. EDIT: I won't try anything with the render, because I think it looks great...
