not bad olbaid, but please crop the image! My work for today.

Where do you talented people start?
People look down on tutorials, but they are great. Do one a day. It worked for Keiphus. They will help you to learn how to use the program for various effects. Now if you really want to do art, learn to draw..paint...only way to do that is to start practicing. Check the tutorials post at the top of the media board for my drawing lessons :)

New Sig! ?
Yeah, gives the whole thing a cartoony look...not bad, but not consistent through the image. Otherwise pretty nice.

Dreadnought [Sketch]
Nice drawings both of you! Keep up the pencil work.

Casual
More clothing practice, loosely from reference. First work I ever did with softness on 0. I have been trying harder brushes, but usually around 50 or so..this worked fine. And I didn't even realize it was that way until I finished.

thanks turtle I reworked the swimming one Gandorf, on the pixel I would say tone down the circular motion on the chest. Otherwise pretty good :)

DIVE! !!! UPDATED!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, I updated, should be fixed to some degree.

God Came And Went (CC, Rate, Marvel)
I like the colors, strongest part of the piece. Good job on those. The weakest is easily the title. I expected something that would fit...it didn't.

DIVE! !!! UPDATED!!!!!!!!!!!!
No reference painting, just experimenting with poses, trying to brush more quickly. etc. Fun to do, but took a little longer than it should have. EDIT: I reworked the torso, shortening it, and rotating it, changed the angle of the right arm, changed the hair a bit and lengthened the left arm, etc. and reworked the breast area. Hopefully looks better :)

Thanks adolpha, not sure if I will finish it or not. Keep posting work folks! nice job. I was super busy yesterday, but got a bit of work done on this piece, which I finished today. No reference, just playing around. A little stretching exercise :) This was without reference, just playing with painter some more. Working on poses, a bit of shading, etc. I may finish it, may not. I am under no delusion that it is all that accurate, but it is a fun piece.

"Forest" - [VUE 4] Want to see some trees? heres s
The background trees are pretty good. But the foreground ones have the definite 3d generated look going. Some afterwork in ps could help a lot..rough up the bark especially. The rocks...yeah...I think you might try another as you mentioned, but I don't know if they will be that much closer. You might just paint in some rocks. Those are not even close.

Some painter work today. I am trying to work faster, get more out of fewer brush strokes, etc. The colors are just for exageration sake. Might do more later tonight if I get time.

Alrighty, found a clothing catalog of the wifey's around. They are good for poses. ...albeit slightly exagerated ones.

New Sig! ? Version 2 added!
the cloud on the ground to the right looks a bit odd, but otherwise much better

A stuffed bear that we have around, at an odd angle :) From reference, a lady at an archaeological dig

some 3D designs to feast your eyes on :P
The animation is particularly nice, if only because it at least shows the energy blade. But Elton Brand? Um always thought that was an NBA Player, not a weapon.

Can anyone link me to a program to .gif maker?

New Sig! ? Version 2 added!
Hm, can't see the new one either, thought from your current sig it looks like you kept the general style but moved on to a new image. I like the current sig one...but the vibrancy of the first pic..without the lines...was good.

The sketchpad was for random sketches. This is encouraging daily submissions to chart progress...slightly different. If anything it is a cross between the sketchpad and the daily sketch thread.

That's the spirit! It can give you some motivation if you have people waiting for your work!

Nice work! Now just stick with the practice day by day! A couple more here....these two are quick line drawings from reference...great fun! You really get good following the lines doing this. A large guy about to get a hair cut while holding a trumpet in New Orleans......National Geographics have the best reference! about 10 minutes each or so

Here are today's works so far. I am focusing on quick sketches of poses, clothing etc. No reference, just from the mind. I might use reference later. I am just trying to learn to work more quickly without stressing over every little point. Quick paint in painter.
