  1. As AOE states, Dynamic sigs are banned. But static stat signatures are allowed. You will just have to routinely update them yourself.

If you think about it, that's ~1/20 people. That's quite a high rate. Hell of a lot better than 1/3. I agree that America is an overweight nation, but some Euros have ridiculous misconceptions about us.
  3. No, the latest had a "World Watcher" that notified when a world was open That's fine, then. As I said a few posts back. Swift and other clients are not illegal. Just the worldswitcher feature. What you are describing is fine. That's exactly what Jagex is asking him to do. As long as it starts up at the main page, it's perfectly legal. The last version of Swift I have seen (and all the others such as RSDraco) had the loophole feature that took you straight to that world without waiting (still had the 30 second rule, but you could bypass full servers). I am not sure about recent Swift versions.
  4. It's not just Swift, sir. Any world switcher will allow you to get into a world that is normally full by taking you directly to the login screen. Normally, you would have had to refresh the world select screen and wait until at least 1 spot was open. And sorry, but I have a non-disclosure agreement with my contact. I can't tell you who they are.
  5. Actually, it's more like what their customers are doing to them. Let's see. You pay 5 dollars, right? Per month? Jagex is paying 9 million dollars a year on dynamic stat sigs. That's where they draw the line. And their only problem with Swift is the world changer and bypasses the world-select screen. That's an unfair advantage (being able to get into worlds that people without Swift can't) and has always been illegal per their rules. As long as whoever makes Swift and the other clients removes the World Switcher, those clients are 100% legal. Their stat lookups only make one request to the server per click. I don't see how anyone can consider these changes unfair, to be honest. Both the dynamic sigs, and world switchers are glaringly guilty.

Hah, wikipedia. Apparently the person who quoted that survey has no idea what OBESE means.
  7. I am on speaking terms with a few high-up people. That, and I read, too. The stat sigs that update once a day are fine, Andrew says so himself in that message. But many of the big-name ones are constantly pinging every minute or so, and that adds up.
  8. For someone at college, you sure do type like a 12 year old to me. You are not going to get a diploma if you can't pass English. By paying your 5 bucks a month, you are not a stockholder in Jagex. You are simply paying for services rendered. They owe you nothing. They actually make FAR more money from ad revenue than from subscriptions. And a few hundred (ok, let's make it extreme...few thousand) people quitting is hardly going to make a dent in their revenue. Especially now that they are banning dynamic signatures and getting millions back in lost revenue. PS: I know business management skills, too!

your country has the mopst powerful bombs in the world, your country has been atacked by terrorists, you are at war, a vast majority of you country dont like their leader, you have the power ot end the world. Yep thats a good mix. That country is far from perfect, 1/3 americans is obese, you can't even educate your people well enough to teach them, when your full up stop eating! =D> FOR THE LOVE OF PETE Less than 5% of Americans are considered to be Obese. Actually at the moment, Russia has more nuclear weapons than us (less than a hundred, and it can change at any time). We have been attacked by terrorists once, and all subsequent attacks by a number of groups have been twarted. We are at war, but to be honest, you could never tell. People don't even care that there is a war on. By vast majority you mean 58%. Around these parts, vast means landslide. Not to mention in less than a year, we will have a new leader. And there are over 50 nations that have the power to end the world, including one as small as Pakistan. Stop making gross generalizations based on what your friends say about a country they have never been to.
  10. You are not getting my point, and you obviously didn't get the joke. Christ died 2000 years ago. They didn't have cameras back then. All the people making those mosaics? They are assuming that Christ looks just like them. Heck, if you are going to subvert millions into accepting your views (like the medieval Catholic Church), make Christ look like you! Just because hundreds of people who never ever saw Christ draw a picture of him as a white male with long brown hair and a beard does NOT make him that way. The Bible never describes what exactly he looks like. It does not say he had brown hair, even! Considering the demographics of Israel (even Nazareth) that we have from back then (Guess what! There was a census right before his birth!), we could make many assumptions about his background. He could have been of Greek ancestry living in Judeah, could have been Arab (more than likely), a black man who's family came from Ethiopia or one of the other great African powers of the time, or even Chinese. The fact is, we simply do not know what Christ looks like. Unless you can go grab a time machine and a digital camera, go back to AD33 and snap a photo of him, there is no correct interpretation of Christ's image.
  11. Because by blocking the ads, you are costing them money.
  12. The puffins don't sleep because you are still instanced with people who have not been gassed. The area is the same, except for you having to wear the scuba gear. The locusts were a joke. You didn't say the correct prayer when removing the book from the sanctuary, so you are being smited with a plague of locusts.
  13. It's crush stat is half of what the Anchor is. The axe is designed for slashing attacks. It beats out everything. Except of course, full Dharok special.
  14. Glad to hear it Troj. Basically, everyone needs to read Andrew's post on the first page of this thread, in which he explains himself. You guys go on and on about "I pay money, Jagex owes me this!" but by using worldswitchers that don't follow the correct rules, or dynamic signatures, you are costing Andrew a lot more than 5 dollars a month. Heck, these things are costing Andrew in a month perhaps 5 years of a good job's salary.
  15. the two most important aspects of clan life on runescape, and that clan chat thing will be awfull. Almost every clan I have ever seen uses Teamspeak for clan actions. If you are just talking about personal conversation, then use mIRC for crying out loud. People act like that extra two clicks is going to end the world. And as for worldswitching: It should only take two clicks as well. Well, three if you prefer to log out. Then on "game worlds" right above the game screen! Finally, on the world you want to go to. Swift's worldswitchers still give you the unfair advantage of being able to get into a full world bypassing the world screen. That's why it should be illegal. According to my sources, Jagex pays about 50,000 US$ per DAY on bandwidth. About 50% of that is being wasted due to constant pings. How would you like it if a silly little banner was costing you 25 grand a day.
  16. By the way guys. Andrew Gower's first priority in runescript at the moment is making a client that can beat the socks off of Swift. What takes it so long is that he has to code it in Runescript and give it full functionality ingame. Have patience, and Jagex will have a good client. It won't have worldswitchers or IRC, but clan chat and calculators are in the works.
  17. The picture you are looking was a mosaic created in 6th century. What's now? 21st century? And the witty assumptions that jesus was black were made in 20th century if not in 21st if I'm not wrong. Funny eh? Edit: Please show me a single picture that is at least 500 years old where Jesus is pictured black. 6th century, eh? So the painter was what. 500 years old? There is no recorded image of Christ within his lifetime. Or the lifetime of the disciples. It's fair to say that no artist has a correct vision of what he really looked like.
  18. Faststone Capture for the win. And I hardly see how Jagex is going to die. I'd say less than 10% of the entire population (Free and Members) uses third party clients. In addition, if anyone quits because they can't use a dynamic sig...hah!
  19. There are many (and I mean many) famous pictures that show what he might have looked like. No place for excuses. Speaking as a Christian, there is no reference to what Christ looked like. For all we know, he could be black. Only close-minded racist attitudes could just ASSUME that Christ is white with brown hair. I actually would flip out and be happy if Christ was black :P. What's even funnier is that he is Arab regardless.
  20. They either just realized that the dynamic sigs were causing high bandwidth (that they have to pay for), or they held off on adding to the rules until they posted the rest of this. However, you can see that Dynamic sigs are costing JaGEx money.
  21. I Agree with you. but banning stat sigs? whats up with that?.... To be honest, they steal bandwidth by making constant pings against the highscores server. I think it's fair. Calculators are actually legal from the above rules, because they only ping the server once. Dynamic stat signatures are constantly contacting the highscores servers.
  22. I think it's funny how you complain about blocking advertisements. You are screwing Jagex out of money by blocking those. Hell, you should be banned for using a program that does that.
  23. With the exception of Supersize Me, a fine film... HA!
  24. Elfinlocks. She was part of the Wise Old Man Bank Robbery vid. I liked this quest, it was quite funny.
  25. Currently with no ring, glory, torags, rune boots and gaunts, and an obsidian cape I have +98 crush with the anchor, and +96 strength. It's godly.
