BMI is a horrible horrible judge. Like I said in the other thread: I am 60 lbs overweight according to BMI. But 40 pounds of that is muscle. That leaves only 20 pounds of fat, which for my BMI is almost insignifigant (and with proper wardrobe choices not even noticable). Hell, I have absolutely no problem walking around without a shirt.

Actually, on paper the US education system kicks the pants out of Europe. Our students have much more time to decide what they want to be. I have my flaws with the apprentice system, but that's another matter.

It could be a sign of wealth, I give you that, but to me it's a sign of bad culture and bad education, as it comes from McDonalds and the like. FFS, less than 5% of the population is clinically obese. Yes, we are an overweight nation, but so is almost any other modernized nation! I am sick and tired of this rumor. Obese means over 150 pounds overweight (only counting fat, not muscle). These are people who can't wear pants from normal stores, can't walk, can't fit through doors, and are physically handicapped. They are essentially RARE. We might have a higher obesity rate than other nations, but it's not high AT ALL. You could go 6 months without seeing a single obese person.

Actually you're wrong. South Africa has one of the worst Crime Rates in the entire world. If you're a woman and your car breaks down on the side of the road, you're lucky if you don't get raped and killed. I have best friends that lived there and moved up to America because of it. In places like Cape Town? You can go anywhere in the world and find a place like that. I can understand if they lived far from the coast, but the old cities are pretty decent, especially Cape Town.

Most Americans I see on a daily basis are fit, or just overweight. No more than in any other nation. Yes, there are some people (mostly kids) that disgust me with their obesity. But they are not so common as to stereotype Americans as all being morbidly obese.

Pardon the off-topicness, but that is quite interesting. :D It's not too hard to learn. 95% of facial recognition is the nose, eyes, and brow; then how they meet together. For example: both Irish-Celtic and French ethnicities can have a convex curved nose. But the French nose will intersect the brow under the eyebrows, but the sellion of the Irish nose will intersect right at the eyebrow, producing a very recognizable formation.
