  1. If you want to know what color mask looks the best, ask yourself what your favorite color is... or do you need other people to answer that for you as well? If you ask others, the reasons for their liking a particular color might not have anything to do with the color but rather the market prices of the masks. With a sufficiently large collection of replies you might eventually end up with the order of preference following the market price statistics. That means red >blue>green (i think). Since you seem to be after a mask for reasons of showing off your wealth (at least the way I interpreted your post), that may be what you wanted to know.
  2. food for thought.... kah bah gee anyone?
  3. Sara. It looks the best. Next is rune (g). Used to have both; now its just the sara due to bank space constraints.
  4. This is really sad news. I used to enjoy his posts and views that he posted here as he was one of the few mature posters around. I had met him a few times ingame and chatted a while although we never got to know each other very well. He will be missed. His background is also so similar to mine that it hits even harder. May his soul rest in peace.
  5. That was a very well-written article Zonorhc. Good luck with improving the linguistic style of the average runescaper.
  6. If you are worrying about bank pins being deleted after a while, you are looking at the problem the wrong way. The bank pin is your third line of defence after the secret questions and password. If you feel someone can get to the point of deleting your pin, you might want to consider getting a strong password and secret questions in addition to having firewalls, antivirus, antispyware and suchlike.
  7. If anyone was curious, the only other MMORPG with a larger following than runescape (besides WoW) is Everquest (the original). Runescape is larger than Everquest II. Saw this in a news item recently.
  8. I am finished gathering money. I have all that I need and the money to get anything else that I may need in the near future. That said, I wont stop earning more in the course of training any skills either. I may not need it but I am not complaining about it. Since I am not into charity its also not going anywhere else.
  9. I've had a task of 13 cave bugs from shilo. Cant even burthorpe them as usually even burthorpe gives more cave bugs than that.
  10. alch it and use the money to buy another seed.
  11. Wait till someone with 60M firemaking xp sees this. They might have a few flames to throw around (no pun intended)
  12. I have done all quests except the latest one before I quit members. I dont do it for the fun of questing. I just do it for the rewards, the increased game access and the effect of the increased QP on tears of guthix (which I have religiously visited every week since it was released and is primarily responsible for my last 8 prayer levels). I did almost all the quests after their guide came out (even if they are so easy you dont need one) just to save time on it. I leave the fun aspect of quests to those who enjoy it more than me. Sometimes, quests have acted as my incentive to raise some skills. For example, to do lost city, I decided that I will do it only after getting 80 fletching so I could beat the spirit with a mage bow that I could make myself. For the same quest, I also decided I wanted to raise crafting so I could make my own full green d hide. Similarly for horror from the deep, I decided I had to get 66 crafting to make my own air battle staff for the fight. If the quest rewards are good, I try to do the quests as early as I can. Otherwise, I wait a few weeks before taking the time to do them. Just an example of a hidden quest reward: ME part I gives you access to a much faster source of white berries than the wildy  . For those who make money picking objects like flax or snape grass, you can get over 400 berries an hour which at 1k ea is easily one of the fastest money makers in the game.
  13. Being better than most at many skills and the higher intellect would make me the shaman high priest. I would be respected but feared at the same time.
  14. Shahakhan's lair. You dont need any quest to get here. There is no real purpose to go here. It is dangerous enough to be left alone.
  15. Wow .. you must feel like a big macho with all that strong armor and beating up on some "big" monster, maybe even praying to not get hit and girls must be fawning over you like crazy .. right  Wonder what goes on in your head when you run back to bank after running out of food ( or not if the monsters you like to train on are really weak) and see the halliers/rangers/magers still in the same training place not needing any food.
  16. whenever i dont feel like actively training anything, I just go to fish or woodcut and surf forums on half the window.
  17. not all monsters heal at the same rate. some heal faster than others. The xp per hit is the same on all monsters.
  18. noob = term used by those who cannot express their ideas in an intelligible manner To be called a noob is an honor. It means that the person who calls you that was left speechless enough in your presence to be unable to come up with a better retort.
  19. I dont see the bones to peaches making much of a dent on guthan prices. I have both and have used both. Guthans is not typically bought by players trying to save money on food but rather by those who value the convenience of not having to bank repeatedly while meleeing. If you can afford a guthans set, I doubt that you will be hard pressed to pay for food. I suppose a few people might even buy it for the so-called "status" but I dont think thats a big fraction. Also, Guthans is the best option if you want to stay for long durations at gargoyles or nechraels or abyssal demons. B2P is good at bloodvelds where I have used it and at turoths, kurasks and maybe at basilisks although I have rarely needed much food at basilisks. It can also be useful at dagannoths if you do not have a guthans set but if you do have the set, I would rather use that. It is quite possible that having a guthans set prejudices my view toward it and if I couldnt afford the set then B2P might be more attractive. In short, B2P is a good spell for long slayer sessions at some monsters but as a training food, I would rather not waste nats if the drops from the monster are too miniscule to justify it. At least for my main character, I dont intend to train through anything other than slayer tasks and if I have to train anyway, I would do so at abyssals where B2P is not even in consideration.
  20. look up mining hiscores. not much has changed at the top. good work by JaGeX nonetheless but a lot more waits to be done.
  21. not another pl8 thats weaker than barrows! dont we have enough of those already?
  22. yes. thats what makes the concept attractive to both the alcher and the nat seller. The nat seller gets fast xp. The nat buyer gets more nats to use however they please. Selling outside to get a profit is definitely one of the options. If someone willing to spend that kind of cash on raising mage advertises the deal on a forum and fixes a world where they can train, it can become something like the world 66 law running service. Anyone with cash wanting fast mage xp can go there to sell nats and all the people wanting to train by alching for profit can also go there to get nats cheap. gratz :) 195m is not "Chump change." To anybody. I second that. Congratulations on finding something in the post you could flame about. Always glad to help out the flame addicts.
  23. This post was made based on the situation in the room on Sunday (last weekend) when I was able to alch in the room and buy nats for 10ea from the horde of nat sellers in there. I entered the room with 1k nats and exited with 300+ alchemy points and 430 more nats than I went in with. In the course of my stay, I bought over 1.5k nats at 10 ea. The people selling nats are doing it to get fast pizzaz points to get the items that they can then sell for several millions to the early buyers. I'll post a picture of a transaction below. This picture was taken a minute before I made this post.
  24. Sorry but you "heard" wrong. I wouldn't be too surprised though if it were made untradeable in a future update.
  25. you're right, its only low alchemy. but its still worse than the other ways I mentioned. 85 mage might only be 25m in there, but its even cheaper and faster with super weakens and ice burst/slayer dart. Once again, please tell me where you got this information that you need to have low alchemy to get into the alchemy room? If this is your assumption and not a fact, please do not state it as if you know what you are talking about. The maximum nuber of spells that can be cast in combat per hour is 1.2-1.3k if you keep casting all the time. Even with ice barrage cast every time, and having 9 monsters in just the right location everytime and all of them having enough hp (see how much leeway i'm giving you?), you will be hard pressed to get 400xp per cast on average. Now read the first post and see how you can get more than 400k xp per hour by the method I stated. Just to prove my point, I will tell you how you can get 99 mage in under 4 hours for 65M. 1) Buy 216.7k nats for around 65M. 2) Get a 100 friends. (not unreasonable. A clan could help out for example) 3) All of you head to the mage training area. 4) Distribute the nats equally between your friends (2.167k per friend for the mathematically impaired) 5) Have each friend alch the 30gp items until they have 65k cash. 6) Get all your friends to trade you the cash. 7) you deposit the cash and get 13M xp for 99 mage. (Go ahead flame me for .05M xp) The time taken for the 2.17k alchs is under 4 hours. Result: 99 mage from scratch in 4 hours or less. (85 mage in 1 hour for 16.25M) Net cost per xp: 5 gp per xp. Taking the theoretical limit for this analysis, if you had 1999 friends and a server to yourself and your little gang, all doing the above procedure, then (ignore lag and server crashes for now) you can get the xp in 3 minutes. Its a different matter that doing all those trades will probably take over an hour or two. The point is that you can possibly acheive in one day what would normally take several months of playtime by the normal training routes.
