Nah, make all of Rs wilderness, make good training spots higher wilderness levels and you have to stand still for 10 seconds and be out of combat for 10 seconds before logging out. Not to mention the fact everyone should have a permanent skull so as to prevent them autoing with 3 items.

They have the "Return of Mod Dave" thing coming up. He said what he was working on for the game is finished, and he's just waiting to put it in. Unless there's a way to reclaim inactive accounts i think he'll be fighting a losing battle.. Although playing Rsc again would appeal to me i would not wish to start from scratch! It wouldn't surprise me if starting from scratch was their plan.. I'd be tempted but at the same time it would be utterly foolish because everyone would be a prayer beast and the game wouldn't function. I am however curious to see what happens, it should be interesting but i wouldn't get my hopes up, Jagex have a tendancy to disappoint me with each and every update they used to make for Rsc. I realise it's obviously difficult to please eveyone but there was never a single attempt made to please pkers in any way, shape or form unless of course they took their pking ideas off a non-pker.. Genius. Oh and why would jagex sell Rsc lol? They've got plenty of money and don't see any need to create competition for themselves, which rsc would indeed do.. Maybe not in respect of new players would it would tug the heartstrings of alot of older players and nostalgia would kick in inevitably.

It continues to amaze me that RSD believe they won that war, but saying that, it tends to be those who were of no consequence that try to suggest it. Well we'll have to agree to disagree. This will only be a matter of opinion as none of us can prove what would have happened if that scenario had happened. Personally I think it would have been silly for Jagex to provide support for a game whose popularity was always going to be declining. It would never have been able to compete with attracting new players as rs2 does(did) even if they provided similar support for both. If rs1 had remained very popular Jagex would not have been so keen to pull out of it. If it could have supported itself at the time there's no need to attract new players. As much as i'd have happily had them as two separate games, my idea was more based on it being one character over the two games, the only problem that posed was that experience would be gathered faster or slower, but then again, everyone would have had the same opportunity to play either. You cannot talk about Rsc's popularity dwindling before Jagex made their decision, they coerced people into Rs2 as soon as they released it it's entirely their fault Rsc's popularity suffered for being ignorant over a population of autoers, had there been some support i think there would still be plenty of people playing Rsc. Although i disagree with the 30,000 active Rsc'ers after Rs2, there was in fact alot of people still playing classic, it wasn't until the game was literally overrun with people autoing that we all stopped playing.

What are Jagex first and foremost? A business. Rs2 was a good business move. As rsc was, they had run out of options with that game engine so were limiting the number of players they attracted. Rs2 enabled them to implement many more features. They weren't going to keep support up for a game only a few people played. It's pretty simple really. You're technically right but completely wrong. Rsc was more than self-supporting, i agree in business terms it was a perfect move for them to do, what they didn't need to do was feel threatened by their own game which they inevitably did, they felt the need to kill it off. Rsc could have ran along side Rs2 and still paid for it's own updates and maintenance but Jagex decided to abandon it. Put it into actual business terms, chocolate bars for instance.. When Mars bring out new products after their original Mars Bar did they try to do away with the classic Mars Bar in order to limit the competition for their new product? Of course not! The Mars Bar is probably their biggest selling product too. In a product life-cycle it's supposed to pay for the next product but the saturation of the first product can in fact last forever (Forgive me if Saturation was the wrong section, it's been a long time since i was in Business/Ecenomics) Rsc could have quite easily reverted back to earlier days, less servers, less staff, less players but quite easily continued to pay for the maintenance and updates required to keep people interested. The complaints about Rsc were never anything to do with the game engine being limited, people wanted new skills, new armour/weapons and most simply wanted new and regular quests. All these things were capable of being implemented into Rsc and indeed should have been. The bottom line is that Jagex feared that Runescape would have been too much competition for Runescape2 and therefore felt the need to coerce people into Rs2, the actions they took were not naive or unplanned they were calculated and manipulative. They were aware of how taking highscores away from Rsc would persuade people to join Rs2 then there was the threat of no updates, condemned to a world of autoers on Rsc and then there was the bank nonesense, p2p items could still be seen in your freeplay bank, so there's no reason Rs2 items couldn't have been seen in the Rsc bank, they could have just had one image for all rs2 based items like a white square with a cross, thus allowing us to have 1 bank and flick back and forth to whichever game was fancied at the time. Business is ruthless and i have no intention of saying Jagex did the wrong thing because let's face it, they're mega-rich now, but they were naive to believe that Rsc and Rs2 couldn't have lived side by side in harmony.

But i'd never run with food unlike most pkers and if a team attacked me i'd still give it a go all the time. You undoubtedly auto for runes/pots/fish etc aswell and so you've got no right to tell someone else they can't afford to pk lol.. Llama0's pking supplies come from his kills, i'd be amazed if your pking could support itself, you're just one of those random auto losers who always have full and great supplies but don't have a clue how to use them lol.. If you're gonna start pking with weakens you're just suggesting Llama0 has indeed been ingenius lol.. You can't beat him but you can bch all day tlong that he plays by the rules and you don't? Ah see, you're still not as good as me! It was my principal not to wall or log and i never did, i wouldn't wall or log because someone had done it to me or i'd have been no better than any of them. If you choose not to wall or log that should be something you stick by not randomly switch between when it suits you lol.. It's like all these cheap immitations that take their armor off to get you to fight when you're not food.. As soon as you attack them they put their armor on again lol.. I always kept mine off even if it eventually meant i lost the fight and died lol, i think that's why i always had a pretty good time pking because most pkers who weren't complete tossers would give me a chance and normally treat me okay even if they logged all the time from other people, again on the other hand there were still priqs that would do every gay thing they possibly could.. It's castle pking behaviour and they should have just stayed there.

Nah, cheating ruins the game, it's a form of defeat.. Any game i play i wanna complete it properly before i cheat at it.. Take for instance GTA you play that and if you cheat once everytime you're in a tuff situation you think ''Ah i'll just do weapon or armor cheat'' when you play it for real and get in a tuff spot it's a far better sense of achievement to get yourself out of it. I often think people that cheat at games like that just lack maturity, the same can be said for Runescape, any 115+ Who plays now is either oldschool or autoed to that level and i can guarantee 9 times out of 10 it's the old school player that will win the fight (if it's equal) autoers went from pking at castle to pking as a lvl 120 with no experience of it so they're all losers. You can just compare it to those who trained non-wild then popped up and started pking, they all sucked big time lol. An example is U N C E R? Level 120 now.. Never heard of him til last week lol.. I was only faffin about on Rs and because he was one shark down he logged, banked and then i assume came back.. I'd lost the will to play by the time i saw him log. Saw him again a few days ago and i'm not sure if he'd skull or not :roll: But i attacked him anyway without a Super Defence and with chaos runes \ Against him with Bloods and i can only presume full supers.. I should not have won that fight, but i did :P Because he's got no idea what he's doing and low and behold he ran off n logged. :wall:

Not really lol.. I mean i would say my fondest memories of Rs are of training and playing on Adx but i had tonnes of fun 'training' and pking on Shr3k. What i never understood was autocatchers, that was the most pointless exercise.. Because if you were an acer you more than likely used an auto to train too.. All they were doing was watching a poor cartoon/film and occasionally giving abuse.. But hell i can do that straight at the Tv. Partly i loved autoes to start with.. If there were no autoers the supply of mining goods and fish would have been undoubtedly lower, it's when they started getting too advanced that they ruined the game, that was a shame.
