Is it better to range or melee them with my stats? I know you need to use either broad arrows or leaf bladed weapon. Also just wondering about how hard do they hit usually? I don't want to bring too much food. Any help would be great.

Thank you for being considerate to our thoughts and opinions. : Oh that would be a cool idea. Hmm it would make sense too as Mobilizing Armies was supposed to come out in December but then they delayed it. Perhaps they will incorporate sailing into that minigame.

^ What is wrong with hunter, farming and construction? Farming has a brilliant concept behind it that adds more than just repetitive clicking. Sure the game could go on without it but not every skill has to intertwine with everything else. Construction on the other hand is extremely useful and helpful if you have the money to put into it. I love my house and think POH are a great part of the game. I can see your point on how hunter doesn't have a lot of uses but even so it is still a skill that many love and enjoy. Red Chinning is great for range and a lot of the equipment is used in things like thieving and runecrafting. It's personally not my favourite skill but it does have a lot of potential. Maybe Jagex will use sailing to add on to other skills therefore making game improvements but also bringing a new skill in.

^ lol Well said. : I don't care if people think we're stupid for creating so much hype over such a little thing but I just wish they would accept the fact that it is possible. So maybe it wont happen, the point is that it could and it might. Just a little note for those who say Jagex said sailing wouldn't be released: Has Jagex always said the entire truth? There have been times when they have, well not lied, but not been exactly telling of the whole truth or have not always kept true to what they have said. Maybe they were just saying it wouldn't be out soon to keep the hype down?

Loved all the articles and totally agree with the Random Event one. They should remove a lot of them and make the ones they leave have really good rewards worth 5k+ at least. I honestly lost track of how many 20gp rewards I've gotten in my time playing, just way too many.

Ring of life doesn't work past 20 wilderness. Sara brews/restores are one of the best items you can use for food.

I'm going to be doing some high alching in a few days and I have some ideas of what to alch but I don't know how many of those items I can purchase off the GE. Didn't Jagex put a limit on how much of a certain item you can buy? Does anyone know what the limits are and/or when this came into effect?

At the stop where it says room facing change the direction with the room you want selected.

It gives you double the xp. I personally use mine for fletching, smithing, or crafting. Not really useful for anything else.

So basically your saying Jagex would never be able to create a sailing skill that is balanced, fun, with lots of things to do? Once again I'm saying that sailing doesn't have to be "sail to a location to get xp". It could be more like building and managing different types of boats as well as exploring, and hunting for treasure. It could be used together with many other skills like fishing too.

Would I be best to stick with knights then?

High Detail for everything except runecrafting. Then I use Low Detail or High Detail small screen. I have a good graphics card so I almost always play HD in resizeable screen or full screen, no lagg with all options on. (except anti-aliasing which is only at 2x because I like it better that way). HD is just so good looking to not use. :lol:

Just because there was one fake image about the sailing skill doesn't mean that the idea itself is never going to happen. For all we know sailing could still be under development, or at least something involving sailing. Oh and the rest of the icons are not 16x16. I'd recheck strength , prayer and a few others.

[hide=] [/hide] Oh that sounds really cool. I think I'd rather have something like that than an actual sailing skill. Even so a sailing skill could still be used in activities like that. How would it be better? What if the sailing skill was like what ShaqAttaq said and you had to man your boat, taking on high waves and battling pirates in search for treasure? New lands and fishing could also be incorporated into all of this. In fact almost every skill could be used in combination with sailing to make it more than just going from one destination to another. Something like fishing trawler with more activities would be awesome. I don't get why everyone says it would suck. What would be so bad about sailing? It doesn't have to be a "go to destination to level" kind of skill. A lot more can be added to it.
