  1. Thanks for your post. Yeah, some of the stuff is easy...I try to do a quest a week and do it without the guides. You wouldn't believe how long it took me to find the red vine worms for Fishing Contest. Also, I'm trying to get the boots by leveling up slayer twenty some times to get them as a drop...thats going to take awhile. Diefladermaus was a charectar on the cartoon/comic book. Thats where the name comes from.
  2. A productive couple of days to start/end the year. Hit my monthly goal for range and crafting and finnished the quest for the week (fishing contest.) Now I can focus on my thieving. For the record, I started the year at 1367 total level....
  3. And here's the goals for the year: New Items: melee: dragon helm, dragon boots, dragon shield, dragon chain mage: godspell/cape/staff, moon ring, full ghostly robes, staff of ancients, elemental shield/helm, pizazz book range: Full black dh, range boots, dark bow other: trimmed skill cape, ammy of fury, dragon wc ax, completed prayer book Wishlist: Full third age range ultimate melee weapon (godsword or dragonfire shield) wearable rare
  4. Month 1: Earning the Cape of Legends Quests to Do: Fishing Contest Family Crest Hero's Quest Legend's Quest (Update when completed) Skill Goals: Herblore 45 (currently 42) Crafting 60 (Currently 58, want to unlock ability to repair gloves of silence) Range 61 (Currently 60, want to unlock rune crossbow) Thieving 83 (Currently 53) (Update at 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 and 83)
  5. After just over two years of playing runescape, diefladermas is a decent mid-level player. She's got no skills below 41, a cool million in the bank and a handful of high value items (abby whip, dragon skirt, crystal bow). But this is the year where she has to make the transition to upper level charectar. To do that she needs to make about 150 million in gold/items, complete 6 "master quests" (Recipe for Disaster, Legend's Quest, Deseret Treasure, Dream Mentor, ME II and Swan Song), completel or nearly complete several mini-games and get 260 new levels (averaging 5 per week) to get to total level 1622. Each month is going to have a different theme, and different sets of goals. At the start of the month I'll say what it is the goals are and what goals need to be reached for an update. For example, January is "Legend's Month" but there will also be a lot of thieving as I hope to get my hands on the thieving skill cape by the end of February (current thieving level 53...). Sometimes my posts will be accompanied by a story like I tried to do in previous blogs...but we'll see how often I do that. Up next, update 1.
  6. With the first three weeks of the thirty week plan behind them, we check in on Diefladermas and her Butler as they prepare for Phase II. Dief: Lane! IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m back Butler: Good lord! WhatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s that terrible smell? Dief: Oh, its probably just this lava battlestaff. Smells like real lava! I picked up some nice toys while slaying, this and a red mystic hat, and an enchanted hatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ Lane: IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m never going to get the smell of that out of the (torn) curtains. Get it out of here. Dief: Ok, IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll leave it in the garden Lane: It still reeks in here! What the heck were you doing? Dief: Well, you remember how I was having trouble doing my slayer training because I wasnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t as far along as I thought at the start? (Dief planned on going from slayer lvl 55 to 56ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæand did, but she had to go to levels 54 and 55 firstÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ) Lane: Yes? Dief: Well, lets just say thereÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a fairy who really has it in for rock slugs. I spent one of my three weeks mostly in caves. And thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s not including the time in sheep fields trying to paint or herd them, or the time wandering around in bloody MournerÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s outfitsÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ Lane: Ok, IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m going to pretend none of this happened. How did the training and questing go? Dief: Or the time hanging out in the bottom of a bird nest. Can you imagine the smell of giant eagle droppings? Yech. Lane: YeahÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæok, I got it nowÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ Dief: Or the time spent slogging around compost and super compost. Stuff smells like, well, rotten vegetables. Kind of reminds me of KimchiÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ Lane: GOT IT HOW DID THE TRAINING GO? Dief: Well, I got all the quests done, made the potions, grew the plants, did the Tears of Guthixing (is that a word?), did a small errand for death, and eventually finished the slayer tasks, but didnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t spend the time thieving or hunting that I wanted. Lane: IsnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t the point of all this to become a Master Thief and Master Hunter? Dief: Yes, and thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s why weÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll be spending more time on that this time. IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m going to do some minimal questing. ThereÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s someone in Shilo Village that wants one small thing done for them, thereÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a fight breaking out between some thieves in the desert and the fairy queen is in some sort of trouble. Probably needs some rock slugs killed. Lane: Sounds perfectly simple. Dief: Exactly. IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m also going to spend some time making 1000 bowls and cow killing to ready myself for some red chinchompa hunting in the next set of weeks. Lane: And that sounds perfectly dull. 7. 10/18/2007 "Well whats first on the agenda mi'lord?" inquired the Butler as Diefladermas prepared for first round of quests. "I'll be gone for a couple of weeks, Lane. I want to finish up some business in Ardougne, learn to ride the giant eagles, and get many pairs of the gloves of silence." "You're going back to that whacked out place where the King wants to start a war with some dark elves?" Lane asked? "I have some unfinnished business with that liar, and helping the folks in West Ardougne to break free of their false Mourning is a big part of that plan. But first..." "But first, what mi'lord" "Uhm, first...first I have to rob a farmer for awhile then herd some goats." "You're an inspiration to us all, mi'lord." 3 week goals - Mini-games 3 trips to the Tears of Guthix Complete Halloween Task Levels defense 63-65 slayer 53-56 thieving 45-55 hunter 51-59 Farming 41-43 Herblore 37-39 Quests Sheep Herder Mourning's End Eagle's Peak
  8. It was a rainy night in Rimmington when Diefladermas returned home. Tossing a Helm of Neitznot on the table and kicking off her black metal boots, she was greeted by her faithful Butler. ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅYouÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re back, sir! Did you enjoy your grand adventure? he asked. ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅFirst off, call me maÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢am now. I changed gender when I got my dragon skirt so people wouldnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t laugh at meÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæbut yeah, it went as well as could be expected,ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
  9. Week 2 Wearing her worn Larupia costume, Diefladermas (D) returns home to prepare for the next weekÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s adventures. As normal, she is greeted by her faithful butler, Lane. (L) L :Welcome back, master Diefladermas! How fared the adventuring this week? D: It was a GREAT WEEK! YouÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll never guess what I did! L: Well, thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s probably right, but let me go out on a limb and guessÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ D and L: I (you) gave a lost spirit its final resting! (pause) D: How did you guess that? L: Lets just say that if there were a skill cape for putting lost souls to rest, you would already have the master cape. D: This one was different! It was in a swamp! L: Oh, I see, thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s very different then the one in Lumbridge, that was next to a swamp, or the one in Mort Myre, which was, I dunno, IN A SWAMP. D:ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ L: Or that time you saved a whole ghost town that was in a swampÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ D: Forget it, IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve got a new quest. Some kid kicked his ball into a witchÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s house. L: Ooooh, saving a kidÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s toy, thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s much different then the time you saved kids from haunted easter candy or the timeÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ. D: Forget it! Week 1 goals Complete Shilo Village: COMPLETE! Tears of Guthix Mini-Game: COMPLETE, construction from 35 to 37 Thieving, lvl 42-43: COMPLETE, now level 44 Hunting, lvl 49-54: INCOMPLETE, currently lvl 51 Week 2 goals Complete WitchÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s House: Tears of Guthix Mini-Game Thieving: 44 to 46 Hunting: 51 to 55
  10. Week 1 (this will be a short week, the whole first month will be low because of a move I won't be spending too much time online...) Goals for the week: Shilo Village Quest (I need it to work on the gloves) Trip to the Tears of Guthix Hunter lvl 49 to 53 Thieving lvl 42 to 43

  12. I walk around with an accumulator on, but if I'm going into battle and not ranging, outcomes Da Bonesack. Thats right, there's still one person that wears a bone sack.
  13. I wonder why the person posting above me is even here... Anyway - Not much luck on drops, got a bunch of rune meds, they're addicted to me, a rune scimmy, some half keys and two pairs of white mystic boots....but those boots were after about 500 cockatices, and 200 giant lizards. Best treasure trail was a sara page 3 and pantaloons from a lvl 1 Best thing ever given to me was a pair of blue vams that a nice guy gave me when I was shopping right after being killed by the jungle demon.
  14. I would think that some clan leader that was smart enough would start a clan that had three levels, one for each boat, that could now have members from lvl 40 and up.
  15. I was thinking of what the next logical step would be for this series...I think its either Glough and the monkey king devising a Monkey demon then there's got to be a new way to fight it. I had two ideas. The first is that its a giant ape, like Kong, and we have to design a mechanical monkey to fight it (Godzilla vs. Mecha-Godzilla anyone?) The second idea is that we have to go though "Monkey Ninja Training" to learn how to fight with our dragon scimmy's while in monkey form.
  16. My first day in p2p I went from 1-61 fletching, 1-11 slayer, picked up 5 smithing levels, did the quest that lets you start herblore and the one that lets you get dragon long. A pretty good first day, all in all... edit: Oh! and jungle potion too! In short, I got about 75 levels, 3 new quests, my first dragon weapon and started three new skills.
  17. I actually followed the blue star graphic while exploring the castle and started the cook's assistant quest. It took me about an hour to find the stupid egg, although I lucked out and got the flour and milk pretty quickly. I finnished that and added the cook as my friend. At this point, I had all the stuff I got off tutorial island and leather boots (found in basement). Then I started wandering and saw some guy killing highwaymen. Since I was f2p, the highwayman's cape was already the best in the game and I was psyched to be able to get it so soon. Highwayman kicked my butt back to Lumbridge, and since I hadn't found a bank I lost everything except. So, I went out to the chicken coup and killed chickens. Over and over they fell to my bronze blade until I had prayer of 7 (ish) and attack 11 (combat level 6, I didn't realize how to level strength or defense). I then headed over to highwayman with an inventory full of cooked chicken and headed over to fight the dreaded highwayman. I got lost. An hour later I found them and there was a cape sitting on the ground. I fought the highwayman anywah, I WANTED TO EARN MY CAPE, and sure enough soon I was wearing my own cape. Too bad it clashed with my chef's hat.
  18. Monster drop : Rune scimmy Barrows : Never done barros Clue drop: Sara page 1 Not a ton of luck in drops thus far, clue or otherwise.
  19. I was once in Fally and there was some idiot locking people in the general store. I was on low speed and couldn't get out the darned door. Later I was telling a friend about it, and kept referring to the guy who was locking as "the door idiot." After about two minutes a guy runs up to me and tells me off about how I don't know him, and he doesn't know what I'm talking about and why am I so mean? His name was "the door" with some numbers after it. He logged out. I added him to friends so I could apologize, and haven't seeen him logged in almost a year.
  20. Later that day I got my first drill demon. How random.
  21. Lets see, I have just under 800k coins Abby Whip Dragon Skirt Dragon Scimmy Add those to my seeds, pots, 4 halk keys, rune stuff and other stuff I would say I'm just over 6 million.
  22. I was getting my rune-essence carrying sacks in the abyss when a guy was running around in circles because he didn't bring teleports or know what he was doing. I tried to help him, but he was running too fast! Anyway, he dies and me and some other dude run to his pile. I return to the guy his rune plate, rune kite (and his bones), but apparently the other guy got his whip. I still think the kid thinks I stole his whip. Oh, well.
  23. I'd place my money on the swarm. Stupid swarm.
  24. I get that there called random events, and I get that most feel there is no rhyme or reason to what kind of random you get when you get one. But, given that I've gotten stupid Leo over 40 times and wouldn't even know what a drill demon was or how to get Lederhosen if it weren't for this site; I have to wonder if maybe there is something we're not being told. (incidently I'm 54 prayer and 71 wc) However, the only way to prove the original poster correct would be if Jagex said that indeed, different accounts generate different randoms and the only way to prove him wrong is by typing in really large letters in different colors.
  25. It has to be the head of the formerly rich family I helped in Hazeel Cult. After I do all that running around in the sewer he has the nerve to call me a liar and try to throwm me out of the house when I reveal that his butler is going to kill him? If I hadn't been a new P2Per who wanted the measly thieving experience, I totally would have let him die.
