Tip.It Times Presents: Letters to the Editor 22 July 2007
The times is once a month now. I'm glad you don't scam anymore rikochet. I always wondered what went through a mind of a scammer.

What would you say to your level 3 self?
Don't waste your time woodcutting and mining. Runecraft.

Tip.It Times Presents: I have the answer, Mr. Runescape!
Jwrm22, 1k is 1000gp not 100. K as in kilo which means thousand in greek or latin or something. Kaiy is right. Runescape focuses more on the street smarts of business rather than the book smarts, which I think the writer should've based his writing on.

Tip.It Times Presents: I have the answer, Mr. Runescape!
The only things I've learned from runescape are faster typing skills and that copper and tin make bronze. Oh, and that monkfish actually exist. It has also taught me you can eat a shark in one bite, survive a fire breathing dragon, carve a bow in .5 seconds, help elven, gnome, troll, ogre, fairy, werewolf, and dwarf species, cast magic spells, fire arrows and never miss, freeze someone by clapping your hands together, light a fire in 1 second, cook a fish in 1 second, find bones on the ground, bring back the dead, and can make mithril armor.

Tip.It Times Presents: Are They Only Pixels?
Hasn't this one already been done? Anyways, good article.

Weekly Poll: What would you do if a friend gave you a phat?
We're not saying hard work is bad. Right now I'm fishing and cooking monkfish to get to 99. We're just saying that we would like some extra cash to help so we wouldn't waste as much time. Ps: If you don't spend it on skills or armor, what do you spend your money on?

Weekly Poll: What would you do if a friend gave you a phat?
It's Runescape. You don't even know these people good. It's not your irl friend giving you his pet cat because he goes on a holiday (if you kill/ eat/ sell that, you are cruel). I would keep it for a while (screenies, bragging) then sell it for cash. There's a lot I could do with 200m. I disagree. Many of the people I consider friends in runescape are people I would consider friends outside the game if the chance ever came. I know them as well as any friend I've ever had. If my friend gives me something, I will always keep it because it will remind me of them. In the case of a party hat: Have you ever had a friend give you a car? If it's worth around $1000, then that's how much a party hat is worth. Would you just turn around and sell it if they gave it to you? Well a car can actually be used for something. A phat is pointless except for the money. Trust me, if your friend gave you a phat, he'd want the best for you. And the best situation for a phat is to sell it to some guy who just alch 100k yew longs.

Weekly Poll: What would you do if a friend gave you a phat?
Seriously, if a friend gave you a phat they want you to get really rich off of it. They don't care if you keep it or not because they won't see it again either way. If they gave you something like a dragonstone ring then it would be different.

Weekly Poll: What would you do if a friend gave you a phat?
Well, none of my friends play rs. But I'd sell mine if I had one. Then I'd buy a santa hat and a green mask. Then I'd buy all the barrows sets, work on my skills, and merchant. Actually I stink at merchanting so I'd just use it for more skills.

Tip.It Times Presents: Letters to the Editor 17 June 2007
____________________________ Today, i decided to peek in on the rants section of the official forums, today is the day the dark bow and dragon arrows update occurred. In case you were wondering, as of now there are 429,737 topics in the rants section, and only 92,598 in the compliments section, which shows the kind of community this game has, for the most part. I clicked in to find seven separate topics saying how the dark bow has single-handedly ruined Runescape. Since then it has died down but now there are still four poorly written topics. ------------------- The rants forum is used to complain about aspects of the game to make it better. The compliments forum does nothing. ________________________________ What really bothers me is the fact that this happens for every update. A large group of players hop on, some before even trying the update, and shoot it down before it gets off the runway. When i was a member, i played and for the most part, enjoyed every update that I meet the requirements for. Of course most of the other players said they all sucked. Now i am free-to-play and am forced to watch this never ending war from the sidelines. If its not a new skill or extremely high leveled update, it isn't welcome it seems. -------------- Yeah, cause a quest with level 10 construction requirement is gonna be awesome. _____________________ Contrary to popular belief, Jagex isn't trying to hurt us with each new update. I enjoyed the new looks of the towns, and i also like reading about the new quests and mini games. Many players complain about the "quality" of the updates, which cannot meet their high hopes of that super hard quest that they want. But guess who is the first to complain when there isn't an update each week, the same guys. I guess what I'm saying is, people need to take a step back from the game after an update, and think if its really as bad as it seems, and if it is, they could write a well thought-out discussion of why its isn't beneficial to the game and what could be changed to make it better. ------------------------ Lol, the low level noobs are the one complaining about no updates. The high levels like no updates because that means that jagex is thinking of quality over quantity. ________________________ Fellow Forum Member, Free Steel1

The Official Thread: Summer Goals for 2007::. Not Over Yet!
To get 99 fishing. I hope I can get that. Oh, and all barrows sets.

Tip.It Times Presents: Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes
Another neglected update, or should I say updates: QUEST ENDINGS! There have been no quest ending for the very popular quest series such as: Elf series, Red Axe series, Fairy Tale series, Myreque series, the desert series, tree gnome series, etc. We want those to be finished. Btw, if you want more information, read my signature.

Tip.It Times Presents: All Great Achievements Require Time
Um, what? First you talk about achievement diaries, then macroing, then real world trading. That article didn't make sense. Well, it made sense, just not linear sense.

??~~??Most Annoying P2P Quest??~~??
Sheep herder indefinetly. I liked mep2, it's my favorite quest series. Rfd was awesome. I did one small favour with someone else so it wasn't as bad. All the other quests were fun though.

What's the story behind your RS name?
I don't know. Just when I made my character, me and my friends were obsessed with bob and jim. I tried to make it bobbobson but that was already taken, so I made it jimjimson.

Tip.It Times Presents: Robot Wars, aka Death of the Robots
Pff. 20,000 down. 100,000 to go. I'm telling you, a world to world sweep would be awesome.

Weekly Poll: Would you continue to play RuneScape if...
If they stopped updating I'd probably go f2p and play 10 minutes a day. Actually I'd get all the good stuff for p2p then go f2p.

Tip.It Times Presents: All¢¢âš¬¢âž¢s fair in love and war...
Yada yada yada. A bunch of stuff I don't really have interest in. I'll come back when the editor writes something about the gameplay itself.

Tip.It Times Presents: The Ditch of Stupidity
I really don't have an opinion on the ditch. That's probably because Iv'e only gone into the wildy 15-20 times. And I admit, I tried out the password thing, but no one was around. Very nice article though, I hope to see something about quests next week. ___________________ I think the ditch is a great idea. All we need to improve it is to fill it back up with dirt and plant some grass over it. ------------------- lol
-
If you could throw something out of RS, what would it be?
It's a tought choice. Scammers or Macroers. I'll have to go with Macroers because other people can't control them.

Tip.It Times Presents: Anything Goes
Wow, 4 pages in 1 day. That was one of the best articles since, well, a long time. I hate how pkers think they can tell us what to use and what not to use.

Anyone Ever see a Famous RS player? Post your pics!
I saw zezima in edgeville. There were about 200 people there.

Tip.It Times Presents: The Price is Right! Or is it?
That white market thing is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. You could be some rich guy and spend a billion dollars on rs money. Then someone who has never worked a day on runescape would have billions of gold. I'm sorry, but no.

Tip.It Times Presents: The True Meaning of RuneScape
Well, it was an ok article. I disagree on a few of the points. Saying the community is great is a lie. Just go to f2p for 5 seconds and you'll find out why. (rhyme, lol) The community might be better in a clan or high level area because they are more mature though. Other than that, it was ok. I'm still waiting for an actual article about the game btw. Maybe it's just cause I'm bitter because I don't have any friends that play.
