  1. I agree kinda half and half with both of you. Having a decent squad, where everyone does what they're meant to (medics healing/reviving, assault making sure everyone is topped up with ammo, recon scouting and lighting up targets and engineers taking out vehicles) makes a hell of a difference to playing by yourself or with a crap random squad. Players skill level comes into it when fighting, as a single really good player can cause chaos and take out squads by theirself. Playing as part of a squad makes it a little more forgiving for players who maybe aren't as skilled at killing the enemy, but can contribute by healing/topping up ammunition etc. Also, what happens when you revive someone, does their initial death still remove a ticket even though they are revived again? I said it does but a friend i was playing with tonight said if someone is revived their death doesn't count (remove a ticket).
  2. Played this for the first time in a while today. Kept pressing the Bad Company controls so i knifed when i wanted to go prone which got me killed a few times at the start lol. Tried using the M21 EBR which is pretty good. Ended all the games i played with at least a +20 k/d, swapping between the Spas-12 and Scar/ACR/FAL. ACR is still my favourite.

I disagree. Not all drugs users are losers. Look at Obama and Michael Phelps for example, both of them admitted to having smoked cannabis before. One is the leader of one of the biggest superpowers in the world and the other won something like 14 olympic gold medals. Theres a massive difference between people who smoke the odd spliff or take an acid tab and junkies stealing and mugging for money for their next heroin hit. Putting all drug users under the same title is [developmentally delayed]ed.
  4. One thing i've noticed when using the mines is that if you're dead (waiting to respawn) when someone triggers them, you don't get the points for the kill/destroyed vehicle. It's pretty heartbreaking to see something like a triple kill and a destroyed vehicle bonus and not to get the points for it.
  5. A couple of my friends got the game over the weekend so i'll have another regular squad i can play with. Been causing riots with the anti-tank mines. Got two nice quadruple kills from two full Bradley tanks.

Went to a sports bar to watch the Barcalona - Arsenal match tonight. T'was good.
  7. [hide] looking at this overview, citing all it's sources, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_Iraq_War, it's closer to 20 to 1 civillians to combatants dead. That shows a clear lack of restraint before fireing. compared to WWII, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties, the ratio of civillian deaths is much much lower, 22-25 million soldiers to 43-46 million civillians. compared to the first gulf war, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_War#Casualties, the ratio of civillan deaths is similar: ca. 100 000 civillians to ca. 11-12000 combatants. It seems technology saves the soldiers, not the civillians, huh? America, saving its own, just as britain saves its own, and norway saves its own. we westeners have it good, don't we? This movie has (at least in Europe) been condemed by all millitary personell (who have given commentary presented in the media) and the media, and been clearly labelled as a clear war crime. I don't know how radical you guys are, but claiming this is okay, is pretty far out there... Did you miss that huge key word on the end of those numbers for WWII? MILLIONS. HUGE difference. And exactly THE MEDIA. The media finds the people that hate it, they find the stuff that will stir arguments up, and they will twist the truth. People need to wake up. Sign up, go there yourself....please. See what happens there first hand. Walk the streets of Iraq or Afghanistan for a tour and i'm sure you'll change your tune. I love how most kids on this board that pretend to know politics and world issues because they watch one sided news reports, read bogus blogs, and play MW2 want to weigh in on this and call it wrong. PLEASE live it for yourself. You never hear about, or choose to pay attention to the good going on over there. Thats whats sick and disturbing, WAKE UP. Sign up, and go see for yourselves. No balls. Keep living in your fantasy world. Keep believing that no one can do no harm in the world and every "civilian" is innocent. While we continue to have harm done to us. You can let that guy go one day and the next day he'll kill one of our guys. Then what. [hide] [/hide] Your other option is to go join the west burrough baptist church. I think you missed the key point of my argument the RATIO. not absolute numbers, but RATIOS. Today, more civillians are killed than combatants. The combatants are killing too many civillians. I also think you didn't read the other parts of my post either: i have friends who have been, and are currently in Iraq. They're norwegian soldiers, they'd get jailed and a dishonorable discharge for this type of event. I think you need to look outside of your nations obviously flawed army, and examine the rest of the world before you comment. Just as you need to examine foreign media before you label it all similar to your sensationalist entertainment media. Heck, even my tv network labels CNN as an "entertainment" channel, not a news channel. keep demanding "balls" when brains are what are required to see that you SHOULDN'T be going in there to fight when those are the rules of engagement and common practice. What's the good thing going on over there? 100 000 civillians dead? Afghanistan sure worked out well: much stronger opium production and opium market, guess how the american "war on terror" relates to the "war on drugs?" The removal of a dictator, only to have civil war? The removal of a dictator to have over-reaching suicide bombings daily? the removal of a dictator to have warlords control the country? the removal of a dictator to institute democracy that can never work, just look at history: how often has forced democracy been stable? I certainly cannot find any examples? If you wanted to help others, you'd never go into iraq, you could save more lives and people by taking down north korea, i've never seen a rationale leading to any other conclusion. assert yourself as the role of a victim, while as an american your aggressive foreign policy of the last 50 years has asserted your position as a global target, because you've trodden down so many peoples all over the world, faught so many wars on foreign soil, moved so far from isolationism. Being the "world police" often makes you a target, when the policing isn't just and fair. war, just and fair you say? how about getting it approved by the UN? I believe in the human rights. I believe a "civillian" is innocent, and has the right to be seen as innocent untill proven guilty. apprehended only with meritable reason. Aren't those the rules you also give your own citizens? why deny other peoples the rights you find "self-evident?" You also divide us into two groops: WBC or agreeing with you, leaving no middle ground. A common fallacy to ensure your position. sorry, bigotry, hypocricy and victimization are the only ways you can justify your position. Is that the american way? [/hide]Tortillachp summed it up nicely. Every civilian killed, through no fault of their own, has a family, a wife/kids, who will blame (rightly so) the occupying forces for the death of their relative. Think how you would feel if you were in their position. One of your parents killed just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It would be mental to not realize this is going to leave people bitter against the occupying forces. Of course people are picking up arms and attacking coalition forces when incidents like this are happening.
  8. I'd agree with that to be honest.

Saw them live this year as well. Without a doubt the loudest gig i've been to. Definately go see them again. Oooooh? Where did you see them? And what did you think of the other artists there? Man Must Die = Epic for me :D Bleeding Through and Hatebreed definitely convinced me and I loved them, so i'll be checking out their stuff. Saw them in Glasgow, it was the gig after the one you were at i think (going by the date on the video). Bleeding Through and Hatebreed were good, i downloaded a few of their albums after seeing them as i hadn't really been into them before i seen them. The pits when Machine Head were playing were like nothing i've seen before lol. The entire bottom floor was a big circle pit, with the smoke and the lights it looked like a battlefield. Goddamn, i want to see them again.

  11. Pretty messed up. I can understand why they fired upon them but i don't agree with it.

Please, do go on... foam party, haven't been to one? :s Yup, ended up at a foam party. Great laugh.
  13. Had a few good games earlier. Got the acheivement for shooting down an enemy helicopter with a stationary rocket launcher. Also got a funny kill with the GOL. Was defending one of our flag points on conquest and was lining up a headshot on a guy who was hiding behind a stone block, as soon as i fired someone else from the enemy team ran right in front of me and i killed him instead. Quite close to unlocking the M95 as well.

Hungover. Its funny just how quickly going out for a "couple of drinks" can lead to you standing on a nightclub dancefloor up to your shoulders in foam.
  15. Can't say it's taught me a whole lot. MM&Tv has got me into a few different bands and stuff however.
  16. If you can, play it with friends. Having a squad you can rely on makes it a lot easier than playing with randoms. Whenever you see an enemy, always take a split second to spot them before you shoot. This alerts the rest of your team so if you don't kill him, you'll get a spot bonus as well as a kill bonus.

Haha, or just a trip to Scotland.

lol Heroin shouldn't be any lower, it's accurate enough where it is.
  19. "They'll have to send in some douche bags with heartbeat sensors." God I laughed so hard. COD sucks so much compared to this game. I got all my friends hooked on it. I've always loved Battlefield's online gameplay style. "If this was a snowmobile race, i'd take it more serious" "Snowmobiles are for [kitties]". Sigs pretty cool Albel. The award symbols in this game are pretty cool.
  20. Completed the single player campaign last night. Quite enjoyable, not all that hard either. I liked all the sly jibes at Call of Duty, thought those were brilliant. Playing online today, kept getting put into games where the team i was one were getting absolutely smashed by enemy tanks and helicopters attacking our spawn. Gave up after getting put into 4 games like that in a row.

Started playing Rs for the first time in a while today. Should probably be studying, still got a few weeks left though. Not really got many plans for this weekend, might hit the pub tomorrow night. We'll see.

Though that'd be false advertising. They can't exactly sell them at full price if they advertise them being 50 cents. Reminds me of a story i heard a while back. There was a sign outside a pub in some town that said "Free Beer - Tonight Only!", obviously loads of people turned up expecting free drink but "Free Beer"was the name of an amateur band that were playing a gig in the pub that night. Pretty clever plan. I think the landlord reduced his prices for that night or something as well, so it was all good.

The stuff you can do with the grapple in JC2 is awesome. Grappling an enemy then attaching him to an Airliner as it thunders down the runway is priceless.
  24. Ah cool. I've not got many tags, i prefer killing folks before they reach knifing distance haha. The Arica harbour conquest map, which got added with the free map pack i beleive, is a pretty hectic map. At the start it's basically whichever team can get withing shooting distance of the others spawn and just stay there. Got a few sweet headshots with the GOL doing this though, one when the guy jumped off a roof and i slotted him in the jaw while he was in mid-air. Last game i played started to lag really bad so i left, went to check my stats and they had all reset. Dunno what the problem is, but it seems to have happened to a few folks on the lol-fest that is the official bad company forums. Hope it's not a crappy april fool's prank.
  25. Had a quick game of conquest this afternoon before i went out. Got put on a team that was being completely dominated by the opposition. They had all 3 capture points and were picking us off when we were leaving the spawn. I managed to sneak around the side and hide in a building, my squad spawned on me and we caused chaos for the last couple of minutes. All the enemy team were too busy firing into our spawn area to notice us take them out from behind. T'was good. And whats the deal with the dog-tags with peoples gamertags on them? Do you only get them when you knife kill someone? Whats the difference between the bronze and silver, just rank i presume?
