  1. Looking forward to it this year. Scotland isn't in it (yet again) so i'll probably be supporting Spain and The Netherlands.
  2. Holy [cabbage] ! Lmao, me too! Lol now i see it.

    - Move out of flat - Find a new place to stay - Find a job (already got a couple possibly lined up) - Go on holiday with friends (Canary Islands...hell yeah) - Have a good time Should be good...
  4. Played it for a few hours last week and loved it. I love the random encounters you get in the wilderness. Should be able to play it a lot more after this week.
  5. When strangers on the bus/train tell you to "Cheer up" when you're sitting minding your own business. It doesn't happen a whole lot but when it does it does my head in. Just because i'm sitting with my earphones in, looking out the window thinking about stuff doesn't mean i'm contemplating jumping off a bridge. I'm usually generally pretty happy, i might not have a big cheshire cat grin on my face when i'm sitting alone on the bus, as that would look slightly manic, but i'm fine so leave me alone.

My dads got an old record player and a ton of vinyl in the attic which i've been meaning to take a look through for a while. I'll probably do that next time i'm home as it's something i've found interesting when people say they prefer vinyl over other formats.
  7. I'll need to remember that, sounds pretty damn handy. Professors would kick you in the head if you included any wikipedia references in your reports here.

Ordered tickets to see Iron Maiden at the Sonisphere festival. Hell yeah.

Can't say i'm all too bothered about post count. Quality over quantity.
  10. An ex-work colleague of mine thought Stephen Hawking was "that guy from the reception who comes to lunch with us sometimes". Not quite...
  11. Lemonade's worth a shot with the various sourz flavours. Much too sweet for me though, i'll stick to taking them as shots.
  12. Good links man  I stumbled across that 40 essential rudiments site a month or two back and have started working my way through the ones i don't know.
  13. Just like acoustic kits, you can pick up a really basic one kinda cheap but the high end ones could set you back several thousand. I'd say in general, they're more expensive than acoustic kits.
  14. I've played on a couple of different Yamaha electronic kits (the model name escapes me completely) which were alright. It's pretty cool being able to program different sounds to the different pads, i spent ages playing the same beat but flicking through all the different pre-set sounds to see what it sounded like on each. I've heard Roland make good, but very pricey electronic drumkits but i've never had a shot playing on one. There's the plus of being able to plug in your headphones which means you can play without pissing the neighbours off as well. I prefer the feel of playing on an acoustic kit to an electronic one but, depending on where i'm living later this year (and if i have the cash), an electronic one might be better.
  15. I've been playing for a few years (5 or 6 at the last count i think) and still play fairly regularly when i'm home from Uni. At the minute i'm using the first kit i ever had, it was a beat up brandless 5-piece but i picked up a Mapex Black Panther snare drum pretty cheap and replaced the skins. It sounds like [cabbage] to be honest, but i'm not gigging or anything at the minute so i'm not all too fussed. The cymbals are a mix of Sabian B8 crashes and a Zildijan ZBT Pro 4 hi-hat and ride. I had a Tama superstar kit for a while but had to get rid of it, hence why i'm using my old kit. I prefer Vic Firth 5A wooden tip sticks. Been thinking about buying another kit as i would like something better to play on than what i've got but i've not really got the money at the minute. An electronic kit also crossed my mind, as it would mean i could take the drums through to Uni and keep them in the flat without bothering anyone but again, they're pretty expensive.
  16. overpriced I hear h&m and tkmaxxx is good if you're in the uk Yeah, they are a bit overpriced but i think the some of the designs on the t-shirts are pretty cool. You can usually pick up some Fenchurch stuff in Tkmaxx for a fair bit cheaper. Those Republic stores in the UK sell Fenchurch stuff as well but it's pretty pricey in there.
  17. The cheapest beer here would probably be supermarket own brand stuff but that stuff is pretty much non-drinkable. Theres usually promotions on decent Lagers and stuff which i'd rather buy. Got 2 cases of Stella Artois and a case of Gaymers cider for £18 which is damn good.

Summer in England is today, and that'll be it <_< I bet it will be raining tomorrow. Yup, thats the UK for you. The sun brings out some terrifying sights. Caught a glimpse of a really obese neighbour sunning himself topless as i walked into town earlier.
  19. You have to register any previous Battlefield games (BF2, Bad Company 1 etc) to your EA account i think. Each previous game counts as 1 veteran status. This could be partly wrong as i don't remember doing it with my account at all.

Jesus, the weather today is spectacular. Dunno how hot it is exactly but it's definately the warmest it's been in a long time. Spent earlier at the park and wandering around town with some friends and later i'm off to watch the Champions League final on a massive screen in a pub beer garden. Doesn't get much better than that. It's starting to feel a bit like summer.
  21. Haha, thats quite impressive. Anytime i tried to get a Blackhawk roadkill, someone would turn up with an Rpg and spoil my attempt. Ended up using the UAV to get one for the acheivement and haven't really bothered since. It seemed everytime i'd sneak behind enemy lines with the UAV, i'd line someone up and just before i'd run them down, their squadmate would spawn next to them with a clear shot at shooting me down. M1 Garand has overtaken the G3 as my most used weapon. It's still bugged though which is damn annoying.

Those OMG Fact things? Saw the first person i've got added join one of those today. Makes a pleasant change from the "I'm gonna do X... Lol JK i'm X" bandwagon which wasn't funny the first time.
  23. I'm under age at a place in the city, it's 23 there but they usually let you in anyways lol. I think 18 is a good base line, and then the place can set their own rules on top of that. Here it's 18 for bar and 20 to buy alcohol in the store, although it's not difficult to get a hold of it if you're under 20 tho. Is it still 16 in UK at some places? Or is it 18 now? If you're 16 you can only buy alcohol with a meal in a restaurant, still have to be with an adult. 18 to legally buy any alcohol from a shop/bar by yourself. Some pubs i've came across only served you if you were over 25, even though the legal age is 18 with valid ID. Reckon that was a choice by the owner but they were pretty sketchy looking pubs anyway.
  24. Well done folks.
  25. I never found the Blackhawks on Isla Innocentes a problem. There was always usually someone on the Heavy MG on the hill shooting them and others taking Rpg shots when they flew in low so they never lasted very long. It's even worse now for the pilots with the tracer gun update on that map. I tried flying the Blackhawk a couple of times with the vehicle smoke specialization but barely lasted 2 minutes flying in circuits as the number of tracers shooting past was unreal and the recharge time for the specialization was slower than the time it took for the other team to hit me with a few more tracer beacons.
