  1. Had the first McDonalds (and fast food in general, I suppose) I've had in ages today. Would've rather had a BK but the one near me has shut down and moved a little further away. Double cheese burger and fries. The burgers were better than I remember them being though, I'll give them that.
  2. I'm not a vegetarian and as long as they're not preaching to me about how eating meat is cruel or whatnot, I really don't care. Each to their own. You really can't beat a decent bit of steak or a nice roast beef dinner though. Also, this: [hide]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkyFozcL-xw[/hide]
  3. I prefer Burger King. I'd rather go to a chinese takeaway or a chip shop before either of them but BK is the lesser of the two evils.
  4. This. I'm not a big fast food fan but Burger King blows McDonalds right out the water when it comes to artery hardening, life shortening meals anyway.
  5. This. I find this kind of thing pretty interesting, best of luck with it.
  6. Fortunate Son - Creedence Clearwater Revival

    Drinking were we? =P~
  8. I wouldn't say he was a boring drummer, just pretty overrated. Along the same lines as Joey Jordison. Not much of a Dream Theater fan. They were one band I couldn't sit and listen to for any length of time.
  9. I wear shorts when the weathers nice. And to gigs, they're much comfier than jeans/trousers.
  10. Best of luck OP. An old friend of mine became a father this year aged just 20/21. It was unplanned as well and he was in a pretty dire financial situation, him and his girlfriend with no regular income. They managed to get a decent council flat as she got priority as she had a child on the way (or something like that).
  11. Can't say I've ever tried skinnies, doesn't appeal to me at all. A guy I used to mountain bike with wore skinnies all the time, even when cycling. I really don't know how they didn't split when he pedalled.
  12. I couldn't pick a definitive five of all time so my five most listened to at the minute are (in no particular order): - Skumdum - The Who - In Flames - David Bowie - The Cranberries This will have changed in like a week or two.
  13. Although it's not directly related to you, I remember when some folks from the British Army/Navy and the RAF came to our school to tell us about what they do and about the different careers and whatnot. IIRC, the only thing that was a definite no for an asthma sufferer was being a pilot or a member of a flight crew. It seemed they were pretty strict about this at the time, the guy said it didn't matter if you didn't need an inhaler or were bothered by it now, it was the fact that it was on your medical records at one point. Anyway, as long as it isn't bad and doesn't hold you back physically anymore, I can't see why they wouldn't take you.

At the time, I can remember being more upset by the news stations taking over every channel meaning the normal cartoons were canceled after school. Although, one thing that has stuck with me in particular about this event is The Falling Man. I remember watching a documentary about it and it sends shivers down my back every time I see that photo. Not a pleasant way to go at all.
  15. http://edition.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/asiapcf/05/20/us.military.bibles.burned/index.html Funny, I don't remember any outrage over this. United States military burning bibles... America is living a dangerous double standard right now - we'll bend over backwards for any religion other than Judaism or Christianity. I wish people would realize that extremists will hate America no matter what, and use any excuse to incite violence. Anyhow, if he does burn the Qu'ran, I wonder how long it'll be before he's killed. Anyone want to bet? I'm thinking within the year he'll be killed, which by the way would be an act of terrorism (it won't be called that though). Kind of reminds me of South Park... and how Comedy Central has no 'nads. Also reminds me of: http://www.southparkstudios.com/clips/151048 Yeah, I agree as well about the double standards. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
  16. Yeah, I missed having a kit to batter around on when Uni was in session as there was no room for any kind of kit in the flat but I got a practice pad for rudiments and stuff which meant I didn't get too rusty. At home though, I'm pretty surprised none of the neighbours have complained, having been subjected to a fair few years worth of practicing and general [bleep]ing about. I know I'd probably have complained about the noise by now.
  17. This is similar to me, only I stopped playing piano for the drums. I do kinda regret it but I enjoy the drums a lot more.

Very true. I've been told I'm good at making people laugh which I suppose is some kind of talent. Apart from that, playing the drums and being half decent at football (soccer) I'd say were another two.
  19. Also related to Facebook: "Stuart has sent you some Mafia Wars battery packs. Would you like to send a gift in return?" I don't even play Mafia Wars, don't try to guilt me into sending you aid to help you win your turf war  .
  20. That's why I was confused. Yeah, primary (here at least) is from age 5 to 11/12, then secondary school from 12 - 17/18.
  21. Depends whats in the glass...
  22. This. From the videos I've watched, it looks a hundred times better than MW2 was. Let's wait and see.
  23. I'm pretty lucky, there's 7 or 8 I see regularly who I've known for years, who've been through thick and thin with me and I with them, who I trust totally. There's probably another 10 or so who I know pretty well, who'd look out for me when we're out and stuff like that but I don't know quite to the same degree as the others.
  24. Hear hear. I'd rage if any daughter of mine was 12 and walking around in make-up, high heels and inappropriate clothes. ...With a face like an oompa loompa. The amount of fake tan some girls wear about here is bordering on the rediculous.
  25. Saw Scott Pigrim Vs The World the other night. I didn't really know what to expect but yeah, pretty good.
