Cars
Yeah, thats a pretty insane sum for your first car. And I'd agree with Danqaz's advice about getting a cheaper run around for a year or two then gradually moving up to something with more oomph. But, I'd go for the Golf GTi just because I love them. Although I'd get it 2 door. And Mk2 if possible.

Cars
Apparently Minis have a pretty bad gas mileage. Just over 30mpg is fairly good for a small car with that much weight and power. Smart cars and the upcoming Fiat 500 both get right around 40mpg, but are smaller and designed to be low-mpg cars. Honestly, if there was an AWD version I'd look into the Mini. I see no problem with it for anyone else in the country, except for the distance between dealers and therefore a possible maintenance issue. Mini are bringing out the Mini Countryman which is pretty much a cross between a Mini Cooper and a Clubman which supposedly has AWD as one of the optional extras. The body styling is a bit different, more similar to the clubman, which I don't think is as nice looking as the Cooper.

Peugeot 106 was the last car I owned. Wasn't that bad, got me where I needed to go even though turning it at low speeds felt like trying to turn a cruise ship as it had no power steering.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Inane statuses like "Making an omelette now LOL (8 people like this status)" then half an hour later, "Omelette was soo good!" annoy me. I like omelettes as much as the next person but who really needs to know what you're having for lunch?

Call of Duty 7: Black OPs
This. Had a great laugh playing Sticks and Stones the other night just watching a courtyard full of people pull out a crossbow, miss, pull out the Ballistic knife, miss and miss with the tomahawk then try and jump around each other trying to get the cheeky knife kill. I just find two players trying to kill each other and try to rush in and catch them by surprise.

Body Modification?
I've got nothing against either piercings or tattoos, each to their own. I do plan on getting a tattoo at some stage, I've got a few ideas (none of this tribal/barbed wire stuff) but there's stuff I want to do before I get them. I've got a friend who has a fair number of tattoos but each one he designed himself and it has a story behind it which is exactly what I think tattoos should be used for, not just getting one for the sake of it.

http://www.sennheiser.co.uk/uk/home_en.nsf/root/private_headphones_classic-line_cxseries_502737 I have these earbuds for my iPod when I'm out and about and these http://www.sennheiser.co.uk/uk/home_en.nsf/root/professional_headphones-headsets_dj-headphones_500263 for my computer at home. I'd recommend both but the 205's tend to rub your ears a bit if you wear them for a long period of time. The sound quality from both is pretty good however.

Call of Duty 7: Black OPs
At level 26 now I think, playing headquarters. In love with the Galil (extended mags) and claymores. One thing I noticed was when playing HQ on nuketown (due to the voting system, we played it like 4 times in a row) the spawns seem pretty [developmentally delayed]ed, starting say 4 of your team on one side of the map and the other 2 on the other side. Its annoying spawning only to be killed straight away by someone spawn killing for the other team although it does make for some pretty intense battles just to get out of the spawn point. Saying that, I got a sweet as hell triple kill by jumping off one of the balconys, shot the first guy mid-jump, turned around and there was a guy coming out of the house, shot him just as someone spawned behind me and tried to knife me but missed and I got the knife kill only to be killed by a napalm explosion.

Call of Duty 7: Black OPs
Can't say I'm much of a fan of the Famas at the minute. Going to unlock the AK-74 next, with a surpressor most likely. Not too worried about my K/D too much at the minute as I'm still learning the maps.

Call of Duty 7: Black OPs
Anyone notice the double rainbow on nuketown? Anyway, mucked about with the combat training as my internet wasn't working properly earlier. Got the weekend off so I'll get some decent time online then.

Call of Duty 7: Black OPs
Completed the campaign tonight, pretty good storyline. Might have another play through and see if I can get a few more of the acheivements or I might just keep playing online. Probably online.

Call of Duty 7: Black OPs
I've quite enjoyed what I've played so far of both the campaign and online. The online maps all do feel the same which is my only criticism so far.

Memorizing
If it's individual facts I'm trying to remember I do what Elknight does and link what I'm trying to remember with other words that make sense to me. If it's an entire passage I need to memorize, I break it down a bit and just read it over and over. Got surprisingly good at doing that as we had to memorize pages of french essays to copy out in class back in the day.

iTrip
Yeah, thats pretty much what I did as well. I had a thing similar to the iTrip and it was pretty bad, lots of interference, then I got a new sound system for the car that has an Aux import on it which has been pretty good so far.
