  1. It's a tragedy no matter what way you look at it. The before and after picutres of the affected areas were pretty astounding. I was reading in the paper about a town with a population of 17,000 which has around 10,000 people missing/confirmed dead. Awful.
  2. I'm one of that 20% at the moment, been signing on for Jobseekers for around a month. Heading out later today to hand my CV in to a bunch of places that are supposed to be hiring. I've had an Interview for every job I've had. Most ask you the same kind of question (What skills would you bring to this role? Give us an example of when you've worked as part of a team? etc etc). I normally think up a broad kind of answer before I go to it then just wing the rest of it when I'm there, which has worked all right for me. Another thing that annoys me about applying for jobs is some companies have online application forms with a section full of inane morality questions that seem a bit too deep for a job putting food on shelves...

I can't find the picture of it but I remember seeing one of some guy who had a bull's head tattoo'd around one of his nipples then got his nipple pierced so it looked like the ring was going through the bulls nose. Pretty cool.

  5. Goddamn that was immense.
  6. Yeah, we used to get dodgeball as well. I have no idea if what we played was the "proper" way to play but it was a riot nonetheless. Although football (soccer) was easily the most popular at my school.
  7. I was doing amazing with the CG earlier, took down a whole bunch of Blackhawks and the Apache on Oasis. Nothing beats hitting a copter, seeing it spiral in flames into a tree and you getting 3 names on your kill feed. The scramble to kill people that have ejected is funny as well.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y489AStltHU The worst use of shredded paper I've ever seen.
  9. Trainspotting was the last film I watched. I've seen it loads of times but it never gets old, I love the really dark humour. The book is just as good as well, if you can understand it.

The good thing about that costume is that he can re-use the wig for any 80's themed parties he goes to, proper 1980's hair metal style. Creepy as [bleep] apart from that.
  11. Was planning on getting my last 5 herb levels during the next bonus weekend but thats not gonna happen if it's as hard to get supplies as people are saying.
  12. When you proclaim that your dining room table is in multi as you attack your Gran over christmas dinner as she got the blue hat out of the cracker.

We got various cow eyes, lungs, livers and kidneys to dissect. Our biology teacher turned up one day with a big cardboard box full of the stuff he'd got from a friend who worked in a slaughterhouse or a butchers or someplace. Someone in another class hid a big piece of cow lung behind one of the window blinds which stank the place out for a few days before anyone thought to check for craftily hidden bits of cow.
  14. I've been getting it as well. It seems signing out then back in again (on Xbox) once or twice fixes the problem for me quicker than just leaving it.
  15. Cracked is always worth a read and I normally have a look through CollegeHumor as well.
  16. Can't wait for it, sounds like its gonna be pretty good.

As long as you're not shagging animals, I couldn't care if you dress up as a fox or think you're a giraffe or whatever. As long as it's not bothering me or anyone else who doesn't want a part in it, whatever floats your boat.
  18. Very true. Battlefield Thread - Fine Pokemon Thread- Fine Team Fortress Thread- Fine WoW Thread - Fine CoD Thread - Lmfao Kid. ACR sucks. loltacknifers. opinionsasfacts. Rofl CoD on the Wii. Some people are needing to take it a little less serious, it's only a game. Who gives a [bleep] if someone prefers IW over Treyarch? It has no bearing on your life or enjoyment of the game.
  19. I'm pretty much finished with Call of Duty now. CoD4 was the best and each successive game put out (by both companies) has got steadily worse (multiplayer wise, I still quite enjoyed the campaign missions). I'll most likely buy it when it comes out but I've got BFBC2 to keep me going at the minute, and Battlefield 3 will be out sometime later as well so if CoD turns out to have another [cabbage] multiplayer, theres plenty other shooters for people to pick up.
  20. If memory serves me right (and if DICE haven't changed anything again), the M24 does the same damage as the GOL Magnum but the GOL is slightly more accurate and a bit quicker to reload. The M24 does have the notches on the scope crosshairs which help a bit when lining up a long distance shot which the GOL lacks but that's fairly minor. They're both fairly evenly matched so it's personal choice really. Can't help you with the Snaiperskaya though.

I'll put a line on every once in a while for the football, only ever for a couple of pounds or whatever so it's nothing major. I've been to a casino once, put £15 aside to gamble with, fully expecting to lose it but walked away with around £50 after playing some Blackjack and Roulette which was pretty cool. I play poker sometimes with friends over drinks but thats more for a laugh than anything as no real money changes hands. I know a couple of people who gamble too much, spending a big part of their wage in the bookies putting money on the horse racing and weekend football. Sometimes I'll see them and they're too skint to come out for a drink or whatever then next month when they've got lucky they're out on the town splashing their cash. It's not something I could get into to the same extent as they do as they're either strapped for cash or minted after a win, there's no middle ground really and it's a slippery slope.
  22. Started playing Bad Company 2 again. Probably going to get the Vietnam expansion this weekend as well. Forgot how satisfying a one round long distance head shot is, what with bullet drop and all.

Ahh such a nice car. Ridiculous that you got that as your birthday present though lol.... In general, I've noticed Americans having much nicer first cars than folks from the UK/Europe, that car is unreal compared to the first car I and many people I knew had. We'd get raped off the insurance companies over here if we tried to insure a car like that when we were 17. Same in Aus. its costs about $4k JUST for a slightly decent car with the average features like A/C, power steering and not so fuel guzzling, and the insurance is total BS. cost me ~$600 to fully rego/insure mine last year. took me 3 months to save up enough to afford it, AND ITS A FREAKING PEICE-OF-CRAP SEDAN! Same in Canada for what you said, but the difference is that even if I have been driving my 2002 Toyota Echo that had 2 minor accidents before I owned it, and I have been driving for the last 7 years and never had an accident, I'm still paying over $1000 CAD in auto insurance per year. Thats pretty ridiculous. Theres certain car models over here that insurance companies will put the premiums up on due to their popularity with "boy racers" and modders, Honda Civic for example. A second hand Civic here, one of the older models, wouldn't cost all that much meaning it would be a good first car for someone, easy to drive, cheap and easy to find parts and stuff for. Phone the insurance company up, they find out you're a 20 year old male wanting to insure a Civic and think, "Ah, he's gonna mod the hell out of it then wrap it round a tree...give us [absurd sum of money] each year".
  24. My friends - Theres certain absurd incidents and situations we've been in that force a smile onto my face whenever I remember them. Music - Learning a new song or something, when it all comes together is a good feeling or finding new music that you like. Driving - In the summer, sunny as hell with the windows down and a couple of friends in the car. Beer - A fully stocked fridge with beer is always a sight to behold.
