Another drummer, I don't take it as serious as I used to but I'll jump on my kit once every couple of days for a practice/learn some new songs/work on rudiments. Would like to learn some guitar and maybe keyboard again.

Yeah, found that quite surprising myself. Saying that, a lot of the Euro Rs players who frequent the Rs boards might not come to OT as much.

Theres a luminous mountain dew energy drink that just been released here. It tastes nothing like the mountain dew I had when I was in America but it's the same brand. Take from that what you will. I'd say the advice already given in this thread is pretty good, although expect the slang to change if you visit different parts of the UK. London slang is a world apart from Glasgow slang.

Heh, watched it in the pub without any sound on the TV. Someone managed to find the remote for the chorus of "Yellow" which was [bleep]ing awesome, everyone singing along. Only got better when the club we went to after played it as the last song of the night. Best night out I've had in a long time.

Turns out today was the last day of school for the summer and whilst walking home got asked by some schoolkids to get them alcohol from the shop. I declined then promptly went into the shop to buy myself a few cans.

Ah, I never realised it was actually him driving. Downer. I liked him the most out of the Jackass team. Only being identifiable from your tattoos and remaining facial hair is not a good way to go.

Yup, was genuinely quite sad when I heard. He was probably my favourite out of the Jackass crew. Went out for a quiet drink after work, which turned into 2, 3...4...Blahh. Feeling quite happy now though.

Had a great start to the weekend, despite working tomorrow. Went to a 21st Birthday party and got incredibly drunk but with the best bunch of people I've ever been drunk with before, which was [bleep]ing great. Still fairly drunk at the minute but I'll be alright for work tomorrow then I'm off for the rest of the weekend.

Machine Head are easily the loudest band I've seen live. It was an indoor venue and I've heard nothing close to that volume before or since that gig. Spectacular. Also saw In Flames a year or so back as well, pretty decent. Under a month(ish) until Sonisphere... :thumbup:

Everyone knew it would happen eventually. I dunno where he'll be hiding but think it'd be worth sending a SEAL team round to his house, just to make sure he's not home. Seemed to work the last time. :wink:

Yeah, saw this on Reddit. Didn't seem like there are many people who agree with it. I don't like the idea that they've designed this content, taken it out and decided to sell it back to the players. I guess if enough people complain about it they might do something and there was talk of people boycotting the DLC but boycotts online rarely work. EDIT: Some info about it here.

Working again today, something like the 10th day in a row without a proper day off. Popped up to the pub when my shift finished at 5pm, it's just went 01:52 and I'm not long in...Work tomorrow will be glorious. <_<

Re-installed BF1942 and BF2 again. Not gonna bother playing online but the skirmish battles are as good as ever for killing some free time. Dive bombing with the Stuka is great fun.

My old school pretty much put an end to any kind of pranks or shenanigans on the last day after a bunch of pupils one year egged and flour'ed absolutely everything, inside and out. Some folk took it a bit far which ended up with them smashing a bunch of windows and stuff. Before that though, I remember the seniors one year released thousands of bouncy rubber balls down the stairwells during the change of class which pretty much brought the school to a standstill. Pretty cool.

I'm pretty sure it's still illegal. There's some cheap knock-off brands, but Absinthe itself is still illegal; you'll have to smuggle it in really well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absinthe#United_States I was going to type up a whole bit about absinthe but Wikipedia seems to have its facts straight so theres a link. I've got a bottle of 80% "Absinthe" in my room which is essentially just 80% aniseed flavour spirit coloured blue, but due to the lack of guidelines for what constitutes Absinthe, the company can slap a label proclaiming the drink is absinthe even if it technically isn't. Also, most of the myths about it have been blown way out of proportion (ie, the Thujone in it makes you hallucinate, it has THC type properties etc).

Looks absolutely fantastic. I also forgot about the jets. Destruction kills were satisfying as hell in BC2, my tiny mind can't comprehend how awesome it's going to be using Jets to collapse buildings.

Haha, pretty much sums up what I think about it. It seems with some things people don't take offense to something until a bunch of other people take offense to it first. If I remember right, the whole Andrew Sachs and Russell Brand/Jonathan Ross prank call thing only generated X number of complaints when it was actually aired live on radio but once it hit the papers and people heard recordings and Youtube videos of the call, thousands more phoned in and complained to air their grievances despite not hearing it for themselves in the first place. The whole thing got blown out of proportion.

I go through phases of getting into certain genres so I think I've a fairly broad taste in music. Although, I've been to more metal gigs and concerts than anything else so I'd say metal for that alone.

This. These [bleep]ers are going to be the ones that ruin it for everyone. Don't know about you, but I can't wait for it to happen. The [cabbage]storm will be hilarious. Yeah, I agree with these guys. What they're doing is completely counter-productive (if thats the word).

I thought school was bad enough for rumours and gossip but after working a couple of jobs you learn that "mature" adults can be even worse than high school kids for idle gossip and rumours. I always take rumours with a pinch of salt, more often than not they've been blown out of proportion.
