What's the slayer task you always leave out?
flipantfish replied to JimmyMcNabb's topic in General Discussion
Banshees :x , this is my fifth in a row :wall: , I'm so sick of these little beggars I've had the assignment for over a month and still can't bring myself to go back :notalk: , so I've been forced to do other things. -
I logged onto the game and examined Bloodvelds straight away. It said: Welcome to Runscape. The tongue of evil.

Until now I have largely ignored the construction skill, as I thought it was nothing more than a big money drain and I didn't have enough to pour into it. I have now decided that the time has come to get this skill up a few levels and have put some cash aside for this. I am currently only level 8 (see I told you I'd ignored it) and would like to know if you guys and galls know of a good construction guide or an efficient way to get to level 50. I know money has to be spent but I'd like to know what I should be doing, building to get this up. I don't mind putting the time and money in, I'm not after level 50 by last Tuesday, but I would like to do it the most efficient way. Hope someone can help. Cheers.

Yes you can, I help people all the time. If they ask nicely.

Would have to be my lovely Dark Cav, I've been offered 350k in the past for it, got to the second trade screen and couldn't bring myself to accept. I felt ever so guilty for even thinking about selling it. Don't know if it's ever brought me luck though.
-
They are going for 550k at the moment, but you might if you lucky get one cheaper.

I agree that the cannon is fun, but whatever you do don't buy it off the dwarf, he is a serious scammer.
-
With the cooking gauntlets it's level 68. Without them it's 74.

Cook the meat on a range. It will ask you if you want to dry it into sinew. Then spin it inot crossbow strings. I think. :anxious:
-
Do what I did with my cannon. Go to a non-English speaking world that was really empty, head off to dags (no-one there), set your cannon up and away you go. If anyone comes and gives you grief, who cares you can't understand them anyway.

You don't have to wait, I used a kitten to do it. Took a long time though, but less time than waiting for the kitten to become a cat. Keep going it's cool to have a hell kitten. \

Yeah Christmas crackers with a nice party hat and a runescape related random item. Only sold at Christmas, that would be so sweee......maybe not. -

Guthix for me. I like the stability it brings, especially with my manic life. -
Up until recently I would have sat squarely in the 'I hate farming' camp, however having started farming as a way to complete some quests I found that I am swayed. Upon completion of Royal Trouble I've been using my kingdom to provide all my seedly needs. I don't power train my farming but try to plant a round of trees a day and two to three rounds of herbs a day. These give excellent herblore exp and plenty of cash from pray pots. I am now a farming convert, I may never get the full farming bug but will continue to plug away and level at a nice leisurely pace and use the farming spots like my grandfather uses his garden, for relaxation. p.s. I would like to have a deckchair, so that my character could really enjoy the farming experience while reading a good book.

I think mine is. I've never seen another Flipantfish, it would be interesting to find out if any of you guys have seen another, but thats a whole new thread I can't be bothered to start.

what do you think the next melee wepon will be?
flipantfish replied to BoD's topic in General Discussion
Personally I would love to see God Conkers. Imagine the fun we could all have. -
I think he actually needs 7 balls of wool. Try that, I hope it works. Good luck.
-
I also use my Kingdom to provide for my lavish lifestyle, but I also like to dip a toe into the merchanting pool every now and then.
-
ooh ooh ooh. How about a new skill that takes slightly longer than two weeks to achieve a respectable level in. I don't care what it is but I hope it's better thought out, more interesting and worthwhile than hunting.
-
A very nice high level update, something for me to look at and think 'I wish I could do that now' Something that will make me want to get those skills up  . I doubt it though, more stuff for the lower levels to hold their attention I predict. :wall:
-
I have a theory if anyones interested. Ok, here goes. I think that you might be able to rear and train your own Falcons for hunting. Now wouldn't that look nice and swishy on your arm, for all you hunters out there. :-k

Managing Thy Kingdom, sorry. MTK. Sorry for being an idiot and having to put this post, but is saves others time with their "know it all" posts. #-o
-
I don't know you, you don' t know me, but well done and good luck for the future.
-
A complete money drain?? Not really. You only lose large amounts of cash if you want to quickly level with trees and fruit trees. Thats me lol  Then can i suggest doing royal trouble and Managing Your Kingdom, lots of tree and fruit seeds for nothing. Just started farming thanks to MYK and leveling nice and steady.

Questions of inexperienced players - what've you been asked?
flipantfish replied to mrmyk's topic in General Discussion
Whilst wearing my Salve ammy I had a level 97 ask if it was a Fury ammy and that he would buy it off me for 1m. I told him what it was and that it was untradable and yet again I became a noob, how foolish I felt. #-o
