You could try logging out and back in to see if that makes a difference. If it doesn't, try the runescape forum...or send a bug report...cause that's just odd.
Brimhaven is actually just fine if you have karamja gloves 3 and you don't have to deal with the wild. I've never used the wild to train. Went from Brimhaven to Ape Atoll and sometimes I still use Brimhaven. But I have karamja gloves 3, so I get a lot more xp per ticket then I would otherwise.
So it would seem....people tend to get *really* involved in RS things...sometimes it would do us all good to take a deep breath and repeat "RS is just a game".
Good luck! 99 from 60 is an awfully large undertaking. Hang in there. When in doubt train slayer, so you don't get too incredibly bored. Once you hit 90 you might want to consider red chinchompas for training too, but you have time before you have to make that decision.
I had a feeling lending would lower a ton of prices, but once the initial lending rush is over, the price will probably stabilize, maybe even go back up. One thing's for certain, if everyone sold their gs, the price would totally crash.
I basically used steel knives and arrows to 70, then crystal bow and steel stuff til about 80. From 80-92 it's been a mix of crystal bow, and rune c bow with either emerald (e), ruby (e), or diamond (e) bolts. It basically depends on what I'm killing.
Try talking to charlie until he gives you the password. It might be that the quest doesn't advance til he tells you it. If that doesn't work, I have no idea.
I'd recommend using brimhaven for all the levels. If you have karamja gloves it's especially useful, as tickets are worth more. As for your mage idea, you get tickets for each consecutive pillar you tag. So standing next to one alching won't get you any tickets at all. What you could do is tag a pillar, alch til it changes, repeat.
My private is constantly on friends. I keep public on, and luckily I'm currently going for 99 wc so I don't have to deal with the lending system as few beggars make it to the yews at the gnome stronghold.
I try not to flame people, I just post either why I agree or why I personally think they're wrong. Some rants are just ridiculous, while others actually have some merit.
A ton...I really have no idea how many you'd need especially using an accumulator. Yes, ava's accumulator picks up any ranged projectiles you use provided there's a clear path from you to the monster. So if there's a large rock in the way, it won't pick them up. Iron knives will take you a very very long time to get to 99...I'd recommend using them to get 80 tops, more like 70 and then change methods. You'd be better off using a bone cbow and bone bolts than iron knives after 70.
I think wc is easier now with farming. Fishing you have to share fishing spots, but with farming you can grow your own trees, thus eliminating the need to share and making an extra tree around where there already are some. So I think they're both easy to level and easy to make money with...there will always be people getting 99 cooking and fletching who don't get their own raw materials. But I think farming makes wc slightly faster.
As long as you get a fast boat..or join a good pc clan thus providing fast boats, it's worth it. If you plan on a str pure, it's pretty much your only option.
If you can't use the glider, then you have to go the long way. You can either take a boat to Brimhaven and walk, or use karamja gloves 3 (if you have em) and walk from Shilo, which is slightly shorter.
It's not a bug. If you try to report it as a bug, you'll see that Jagex has posted what's actually going on with the extra "withdraw 10" or whatever option. Something like it defaults to 10 or the number you last withdrew.
I'm not sure where on the interface they could put it where it wouldn't look strange...you could just put a little clock next to the computer or a cell phone or watch.
I remember when whips were 2m and dragon wc axes were 3m, and the best chest armor was a d chain...no barrows, no torso, just dragon and rune. I also remember a time before slayer, farming, summoning, or construction even existed.
The most cost effective use for d-stones is dragonstone (e) bolts. So if you feel like killing some steel drags for rune bolt drops and making loads of bolts, the profit will be pretty sweet. Otherwise, make them into something and sell that or just sell the stones.
