I used to think like that. But the disadvantage wrecks the game. Which is NOT legitimate. This is probably another step jagex will take to make runescape better. Not everyone plays for tickets. Yopu previously said someone was thinking selfishly by thinking "I didn't do that, he did!" NOw your being selfish. By saying "I don't care if they don't have fun, as long as i win, I'm happy." and by saying "if my methods of winning are banned, then I won't win." Now THAT'S selfish. yes because the point of a game is to win and to lose. Many understand that. It's illegal. But it should be. Killing a player is not dishonest, but THEN you cheat. You take the flag, round up half your team to defend you, then wait. castlewars is for fun. Your taking away the otehr teams fun. Surely that is not what you want? But unfortunately, that's what your doing. sure, if our team loses because of it's own incompetence then noone will complain. But if they were too weak to get the flag, it's no fun + they don't win. If you read this person's post, then reread this part. Read it again, and think about it. Now think of the future consequences if they keep on catering to the new players like this. If they don't learn and are stopped then nothing will get done. They need to learn.

well, runescape will either be really good or really bad. at it's current state though it is heading for the latter. But jagex needs to quickly fix the game, before the valuable players leave and the rulebreakers rule. Although jagex are doing at the moment is making the game worse. hunter is the most pointless skill ever! all these skills and quests are prolonging the judgement. A lifeboat in the middle of the sea of destruction. To try to save the living from drowning in boredom and vanishing. But the life boat will pucture and then you will sink until the next lifeboat arrives. Of course if jagex SOMEHOW get the game together, no more shall depart and stay on land peacefully. Personally they are going to have something BIG to do that. I myself would be tempted back on to members if they introduced races and such.

If this belongs in rants then move it, not lock it. Well after reading rant after rant of it, i have decided to finally make a sensible discussion. on the topic. If you don't know what i am talking about it is the combat triangle. The combat triangle shows us the advantages of fighting against each type of fighter- melee, range and mage. Melee is good against range, Range is good against mage and mage is good against melee. Now lets look at the pros and cons of each, but first I must say that all should post WELL THOUGHT OUT comments with OPINIONS AND REASONS. ---- Melee: Pros: Unlimited strikes, high range of weaponry, strong weaponry, fast weaponry, lots of specials, good against range. Cons: some slow weaponry, short distance fighting, strong weaponry hard to obtain (barrows and dragon), can only fight with it, weak against mage. Mage: Pros: Strong attacks early on, able to teleport enchant etc with it, runes are not that expensive and easy to make, extra effects to some spells (ancients), long range attacks, strong against melee. Cons: Spells are not that fast, need staff to auto cast, spells can be expensive (ancients mainly), limited attacks (usable runes), weak against range Range: Pros: Long-range attacks, variety of weaponry, pick up used ammo, arrows are not expensive, bow and arrows are easy to make, straong against mage. Cons: not all ammo picked up, people can steal arrows, very little specials, weak against melee. ---- So with this infomation i can say that the combat triangle is fairly balanced. But there are many who disagree. What do you think?

I believe they should make it so that we can get back lost items. Having read the pros and cons there must be a solution. Somehow, Jagex will have to make tracing an account possible. This means they can track and discover what an account did, and what items they have. This way jagex will know if the player gets money back from Y- in your story- and what X had before the scam. So in summary, make it so jagex can check your account and see what items you had before and after a scam. Of course, if player Y does not get perm banned, make sure to take away the items he scammed. This might stop luring. oh, so everyone carries around a law rune and other runes with them everywhere?and what about tele-block? You can't log out until 10 seconds after combat. Whos' Druial? nvm. What would you say in that situation? sorry for that last anger part. But it really annoyed me.

Exactly. And how about all you safers out there is it the only reason you're trying to blame and fight pures is because we don't safe? That's basically free stuff for you. So next time go fight some other safer when we tell you we don't wana fight. How is it exactly great to go fight someone that also safes like you every time they get to 75 percent hp, they eat a lob? I have recently became a non-member, I do believe that non-memebrs should get updates from time to time, justnot as much mumbers do. Sure a nice f2p quest would be welcomed, along with some other minor non-member updates. But 3/4 times members should get an update for them only. the reason i believe that f2p deserve any updates is that I think they should be rewaded for playing and contributing because of adverts.

Now because this is my first time on the debate club, I am hoping this obeys the rules. Now for the rant. We all know that jagex have been a little slow on the good updates. well, the good ones anyway. please don't go against that, just look in runescape forum rants. But anyway, various skills have been released in the past year, such as hunting, farming and construction. Now many people, including me, dislike some of these skills. Construction and farming are ok with me. But is hunter really worth it? and it is not just about the new ones, I see no point in firemaking, better off as an extension to woodcutting, in my opinion. firemaking and hunter are my two choices for useless skills. I also don't see a point in slayer- pretty much combat with different items. So are some skills really worth it? Please make this a sensible discussion. I really don't want someone saying WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT NOOB?! And ruining the thread. Now I am not saying they are all useless and saying they should not be there. I want your opinions. Summary: I want to know if there is any particular skill that you dislike, like or changed. I want all forum rules applyed I want sensible answers.

like you said, changing the rules may consider jagex bias or will make them rant against it. But there are some ways which we can aid the need to stop annoyances happening. The door thing can easily be solved. When clicking on a door to open that door, you walk right through it.

It doesn't matter what level you are of that skill it depends on how you use it. For example, a level 62 mage using wind strike is not being effective. Wind blast is a bit more usuful, but the best is wind wave + mystic might prayer would be most effective in that posistion. (that is if you don't have ancients).

I diagree with it, and would like to find another way if possible, but there is not. So i have to grin and bear it really. But personally, we need us humans to become smart enough to know which chemicals are deadly, instead of testing every one we find in all sorts of combinations possible. Or we could try to mimic the animals reactions on a virtual model. although i suppose it would take years of research to do this. But I must admit humans are pretty selfish and stupid. All we do is risk the lives of animals for our own needs. Even for cosmetics. and things like cats are smarter- they know how to hunt with what is naturally given to them. We however are so weak that we use weapons, which are a lot harder. Some animals we do not need to test so much on. Did you know that in 2004 over 1 million rodents were used for testing? Thousands of dogs and hundreds of cats. in fact are most common relative- the primate- is used less that rodents.

I'm glad you don't get to decide who gets to be a politician. If you know anything about politics or the history of politics, most of the time you do not mention those things in the same paragraph and at the same time try to run an effective country and fend off aggressors. so what you propose is an emotionless jerk who does not care about anything other than what happens on his own country =D> bravo! what a person. we could save a lot more lives with a caring woman, than with a robot- like man. give them a chance. I said you probably didn't look for the word ethic, which was in your post. Ethics have nothing to do with "ethnicity". Due to the polar ice caps melting there will be around 1 meter rise of coastline. Keeping this in mind. water will be accessible for a long amount of time. For a lot of people.

though i suppose that if the worst does the worst then we will have to live on another planet etc. in fact the other place in our solar system that would be the most suitable is the moon. Mars and past it get too cold, mercury and venus gets to hot. The moon maybe small, but it will have to do. Mars would not be a good place to go to. it has no magnetic field. (there is a difference between gravity and magnetism). causing solar wind and UV rays to be allowed straight onto the atmosphere. Our magnetic field transfers these solar winds and UV rays onto the north pole. weakening the ozone layer, therefore ity gets through. This would have happened to all the ozone layer if we did not have a magnetic field. too risky on mars. I will stick to the moon really. after that we just have to overcrowd. It is really inevitable for every creature, including apes etc.

Exactly. Europe's poplulation is expected to shrink by what, 50%, over the next 50 years? Perhaps that figure's a bit high, but it'll be a pretty big decrease. I figure either war, disease or the return of Christ will keep us from overpopulating the earth. what will Christ do? kill us all? if he does that, then the entire christian beliefs will be overthrown. Do not think that will happen. probably war. maybe israel will start something up. Not diseases though. But then again. i suppose as the human race develops so will the diseases. i supposes it is possible. Either way the probleme will fix itself. either we'll die from an ice-age due to global warming, servere weather etc. The world will adgust.
