The way I see it, Jagex could either try to bring back old pvpers or attract pvpers from other games. The old pvpers are already paying them membership because of 07, so it'd be natural to make the combat system more like pvp in other games. I don't play other games so that's all I can contribute. I guess the point is don't expect combat to become any more like pre-eoc.

The incentive to train after 99 is xp after 99. The update wouldn't change the incentive, it just adds an optional limitation. Any XP you gain in prestige mode goes toward your lifetime XP (the "old" high scores). This should be a welcome addition for anyone who's not racing to 200M all. Isn't most new content in this game optional and "inefficient"? Any player that's purely focused on efficiency can just avoid prestiging and continue training at level 99, anyone else can prestige to keep things 'fresh'. You know you can prestige right now if you wanted to, right? Just cook shrimps for 1k xp, then move on to herring for 5k, whatever whatever until you hit 99x2. It isn't a "welcome addition" because it isn't an addition.

So that you have a better understanding of how and why things work. I feel like C++ teaches that a lot better than higher level languages do. And yeah web development is a big field, so it's at least worth experimenting with.

I think if you're going to going to use those shortcut languages, you should learn Java and C++ first. Doing it the other way around will just cause trouble. Knowing PHP and JavaScript will open a lot of doors as well.

All this update would do is let people with less xp be ranked above those with more xp. That's not right and you know it. I'm not being biased towards high level players; you're being biased towards low level players.

I would only support level 126 if content was capped at 99. It's be stupid as hell to make someone get 200m xp in a skill to unlock something.

Also the hiscores will be really annoying. People with 100m xp will be ranked below people with 39m xp, which is just ridiculous. There's really no advantage to prestiging, other than being able to train after 200m, and only like 5 people in the whole world would want to do that.

I'll ignore this update when/if it comes out. Terrible idea.

The concept art makes it look like it's on a floating island. Completely plausible that the artist just got lazy and only drew the important parts, though.
