Generally, bosses are a single npc. It's more of a boss than TDs and Glacors. Hell, even Gunthor the Brave (or whoever replaced him) and the guy under lumbridge are technically bosses.

This thread is making me cringe. When you pay a farmer, your crop can still become diseased. This means that you lose a growth cycle, because it could have grown instead. The farmer doesn't cure the crop until the next growth window, which makes you lose another growth cycle. Overall, you lose 2 growth cycles. That's not the only reason why they grow at different times. You see, a crop will only grow/become diseased when a farming tick occurs during a growth window (there is no such thing as a growth tick). Farming ticks occur every 500 ticks (~5 minutes). Because of server latency, they're often further apart than 5 minutes. This is one factor that contributes to random growth times. Farming ticks are synced to the in-game clock, meaning that when you log in or out, you have to wait another 500 ticks for the next farming tick. A growth window is the last 5 minutes of a growth cycle. Growth cycles are either 5, 10, 20, 40, 80, 160, or 320 minutes in length and are synced to the server clock (so they're global). They start at 00:00 GMT and loop throughout the day. If you plant your tree at 1 am GMT, it will either grow or become diseased between 2:35 and 2:40 am. At 5:15-5:20, it will grow again, or, if it became diseased, die. If you paid for it, the farmer will cure it instead of letting it die.

I think he's saying that the OP wants to make money while afking. In that case, rocktails would be good. However, it's more efficient to make money elsewhere and do your homework or whatever while runespanning.

It takes 16.5 hours to get remote farm, that's 49.75m gp. Remote farm decreases the death rate from ~10% to 0%, assuming you use it right. That makes the average herb run yield 46.6 herbs versus 42.9. You save 3.7 herbs per run, or 104.3k gp. You would need to do 477 herb runs to make it worth it, at current prices.

so then what would be the best helmet item for slayer? Whatever the highest defensive helm is. Slayer helms lose their 7/6 bonuses. They'd still be used at spectres I guess.

Ticks are global and across every server right? So ideally you would cast it at 5:00, 25:00, 45:00, etc? In an ideal world, you'd cast at :00, :20, and :40, but clocks are often off by a couple of minutes and the servers can lag a bit (they get reset at midnight gmt so they don't get too far off track). So checking 5-10 minutes later is safer and still leaves plenty of time to cure your plants.
