  1. Thanks :D [hide=updated banky] [/hide] Not included in pic: Black elegant shirt and trousers (house), 1mil gp, 1.5mil gp in coffers I need to sell my runes and stuff but I'm just so lazy~ I think in a month, I've doubled my 'play money' from farming(and herby), mostly. That's cool :o couple levelup pictures to add. I'll do that later. [hide=91 Fishing, 76 Farming, 67 Thieving] [/hide] I paid a visit to the Sorceress' Garden. Woah, the Summer one is easy! You've got to be kidding me! I was going crazy in the Autumn Garden, but Summer is a breeze! Why. :| Anyway, I wonder if farming level has anything to do with the herbs that you loot. I've only done a couple of inventories worth of herb picking, so I guess it's kinda early to tell. So far I've been doing better in general than my friend with 60ish farming. I laugh at him. O:) [hide=Herb Pickings] 75 Farming, 66 Thieving Ranarr-Cad Ranarr-Kwuarm Kwuarm-Ranarr Cad-Guam Irit-Tarromin Tarromin-Ranarr Avantoe-Tarromin Guam-Avantoe Marrentil-Harra Lant-Cad Avantoe-Guam Guam-Tarromin 76 Farming, 67 Thieving tarro-marrentil irit-guam irit-ranarr ranarr-cad avantoe-harra marrent-lant tarro-dwarf kwuarm-marren dwarf-guam guam-guam kwuarm-guam guam-avantoe irit-harra irit-cad [/hide]
  2. Usually, JaGex will alter an update if there is a general outcry (especially if it's regarding a result they hadn't intended or perhaps overlooked). Who knows. Maybe they'll add something more to it to make it less of a nuisance to Abyss runecrafters (assuming they hadn't intended it to be :P ). I agree with some though, it puts a dent in the amount of money being brought into the game. I say it's discouraging to Abyss crafters, but it's not so bad as to be repelling...So, it's slightly slower (and maybe more dangerous?), but you're still flying compared to the more 'conventional' ways of getting to the altars. It was slow and is now slower, but the playing field is still relatively 'even' because all abyss crafters have the same obstacle before them. Dodging the pkers on the way to the mage is a different story, of course :-k
  3. So far so good. I'll just roll with it :P I'm managing alright without the teleport spells. I just need a cammy tab for my farming circuit. Jewelry, fairy rings, ecto, lyre, gliders, balloons, etc, cover pretty much everything else. :o [hide= April 16th blog entry] 16 April 2007 I fumbled around a bit with steam runes using magic imbue (with wizard mind bombs). I love lunar spells, btw. I was rather clumsy, but still got 20k Runecrafting experience in an hour compared to the 15k/hour with nats through the abyss. I'll see how I do once I get 82 magic. achieved 81 magic today. [hide=picture] [/hide] [/hide] lunar spells are so <3. If ever I attempt 99 cooking, Pie Bake will be the way. I'm considering baking wild pies as another part time job. :-w
  4. Slayerizing 8-) Saving me TONS of time. I <3 it. I also go on lunar to use NPC contact :P [hide= 70 Strength, 56 Slayer, 63 ranged] [/hide][hide=56 Prayer (Completed Holy Grail)] [/hide]Missed 57 slayer [hide=71 Defence, 72 Crafting (1675 Total)] [/hide]
  5. My ranged stinks and I've only been using MSB with addy arrows, so I don't know :o I heard that the crystal bow rips right through ahrim though :D [hide=70 def plx] [/hide] Bwahahaha! I'm taking Guthans for a whirl 8-) Seriously liking it so far.
  6. WHAT! Death has two green arrows against me? Oh, how could I let the quality of my work slip so low?!?! :uhh: :ohnoes:  :wall: Woo! That was rude of me :XD: Ahaha, I'll get to work on those eventually. For now, I'm Barrowing and stuff until I have 82 magic. Then I'll try a ComboRune and SpellTab Shop for profit. See how that goes. Market price guides say something around 30ea~ for ComboRunes, but hey, no one really sells them (yet) 8-) I'm thinking in the neighborhood of 300~400, honestly. [hide=a couple drops to end 30 dry] [/hide] [hide=72 hp] [/hide]
  7. Grats on dubs (I despise Karil for leaving his clutter in the chest  but still, Karils is better than nothing.) Good luck with Fletching
  8. [hide=68 and 69 Defence] [/hide] 26 or so dry. I'll admit I'm getting a bit thirsty, but doing alright still. mmMMmm...so close to 70 defence. Anyway, here's the gameplan for the time being: Stage 1: 99 Fishing Fishing monks at the colony the whole way. All income from Fishing and Barrowing (a few runs a day) will be invested into farming herbs. Profits from pots will be recycled for more seeds/vials and seconds. Until/unless I amass enough money to get me close to 91 Runescrafting with combination runes (estimated 75mil~ I need to do my math again). For my breaks: work on 82 Magic. Stage B: 75 Runecrafting 60k Steam runes (fastest, most gp cost), 85k* Fires (second fastest, slight profit-?), 66k Nature runes (slower, second most profitable), 75k* Cosmic (Slowest, most profitable method). Break: 70 Ranged. I still need to do my math, but I think I'll end up mixing it up anyway. All of these methods are reasonable, in my opinion. [*ess crafted, not runes made] Stage 2: 99 Woodcutting Chopping yews for Hotty to use towards her 99 fletching. Not sure if I'll spin flax or just buy the bowstrings :-k I will probably craft the 62k nats and alch the yew longs. But then...maybe not. Again, money from these and Barrowing will be invested into herb seeds, vials, and seconds until I get enough money for close to 91 Runescrafting. Break: 65+ slayer and training combats. I'll probably get Guthans. :P Stage 3: 85 Mining or 80 Thieving or 80 Hunter I don't expect to make too much money from these skills. If mining, I will mine gold for the most part. Mith and addy to mix things up, I suppose. If thieving, Pyramid Plunder, of course. Red Chinchompa for Hunter. I'd be holding onto whatever I gather to use later on. Really, I'll use this time to farm the rest of the money I need, if any. If I'm set then I would move on to... Stage C: 91 Runescrafting Steam Runes as the bulk of my experience. I'll also buy talismans to make into tiaras for the exp. Break: either combats or agility. After that, I'll work on the rest of the skills in my long term goal and finally steal the resources from my kingdom  Or, I don't know. I might just mix it up with fishing, runecrafting, and woodcutting right now. 90 fishing looks good enough as it is...and I'm hungry for runecrafting =P~
  9. very easy quest. *lol'ing at the people complaining saying "omg, you need like 99 agility to do this! "* I only slipped once. hehe. uhm, 12k defence exp \ which is pretty good for the amount of time and effort it takes (hardly any). I didn't bother getting the sabre. Mebbe when fighting underwater gets bigger, I'd get it. Not worth the bank space imo.
  10. all pyramids = tombs, I think. But I've never gone to the agility one. heh. Plus, I heard it's lame. training at the waterfall isn't really tomb raiding, as you aren't really taking any treasures from the buried persons. :| yay for sacriledge :o
  11. Coming from an impatient yet somewhat frugal man (when it comes to skillering materials, anyway), this is what I suggest: Do the number crunching beforehand (or just thank Death kindly for doing it all for you) and establish your lows and highs for buying the ess and selling the nats. If you buy ess for 90 each (lowest) and sold nats for 330 each (highest) you'd make 240gp profit per nat. sounds good. ess for 110 each (highest) and nats for 300each (lowest), you'd make 190gp profit per nat, which isn't too bad, but do you really need so much ess that quickly? assuming you make 649,687 nats, the difference in profit between the two would be.. 155.924.880 - 123.440.530 = 32.484.350 What to do? Let's say you wouldn't mind the 155, but we're alright with the 123mil (that's a bad way of looking at it, I'll admit. better to work out profit per hour and see if you're happy with that). Your asking price for ess is 90ea, but you see someone selling in bulk for 110. snatch it up and move on with your life. Same goes for selling if someone is buying for the amount you are willing to accept. Just remember the "asking" and "willing" prices. see anyone in between there and take it so you can move on. anyway, 100each ess is rather easy to get. at 110 you can't keep the offers away. If it is simple to get 95, as Death says, then go 95-100 each. Personally, I don't find it necessary to pay 110 and stockpile p ess as if the ess mine will be destroyed tomorrow. I guess it means less frequent trips to the market, and it's easier to visualize what's left of your goal, but aside from that, eh...keeping more than you can handle within like say, a week, is kind of a waste (unless you got a great deal on it, of course). anyway, what were we talking about? :uhh: uhm..bump?
  12. Grats on the cooking level. 80 looks niiiiice. 8-) wooots, Runecrafting! have fun with all the heaps of cash
  13. Grats, on all the hawt Qp. I heart the accumulator in the Jiggig tombs(can't believe I forgot that in my sig) as it works with brutal arrows. bwahaha. Ancestral bones ftw.
  14. Added, James :XD: gasp. If I had photoshop I'd use it. If I had fireworks, that'd be better :o Sadly, I only have MS Paint  :XD: Thanks, Devoted. Your levels are coming along nicely as well. Thanks, Saruman. If anything, it means I've been slacking in the combats department :-k I intend to fix that, though  [hide=71 hp] [/hide] No more spring breaky-poo  Ah well, I'll be back at the colony for a while. I might do something differently with my cats...grow two or three then cash them in for deaths to use at Barrows. when I'm out of deaths, come back to the fishing colony and grow more cats. lol.
  15. Hey hey. Grats on all the nifty swag 8-) Good luck with more. bwahahaha
  16. mmhmm. Thanks. A decent first attempt, I must admit :-k Hoping I'll get better at it but MS Paint gets annoying fast :XD: 1660 total this morning \ [hide=68 Runecrafting and 80 Magic] [/hide] Phooey! Binding necklaces won't tell you how many charges are left! Uhmm...Probably just barrowing today :XD: :XD: :XD:
  17. you are a crazy man. I would kill for 95ea p ess. Maybe not full-blown pre-meditated, but definately a little manslaughter at the miminum... :-k where do you do your shopping?! sheesh! :anxious:
  18. Oh yes. Finally put a gilded altar and a portal chamber and my house. I'll be ready to Barrow like a semi-pro once my p pots get put together. Going Fiyr Shade Burnin' in the mean time. [hide=67 defence] [/hide] level 3 clues, plx?
  19. 54 Slayer from Tears of Guthix, 66 Defence, 85 Cooking, and 55 Slayer :o [hide=Images] [/hide] mmMmm...I think I want Guthans as soon as I get 70 Defence. 8-)
  20. Grats on 60 Ranged :o Good luck with the rest of your goals. Blogs take some time to pick up, just have some patience, stick to one thread, and keep posting your achievements. ;) People will come around. Keep it updated and I'll be sure to stop by. I think you Hyt'd me in Edgy once and I didn't realize you were talking to me til you walked off. It was an "Ante" and some numbers. If that was you, I'm sorry  I pay less attention to "Hyt"s there because...most of Edgy are tipiters. Lol. I figured stray Hyt's were for the bigger names and not me :P If it wasn't you...uhm, oops. Again, Good luck =)
  21. AWESOME! :o Added as soon as I log in. Roffle. And thanks =)
  22. *Lol'ing a little bit at the inside joke* This break from fishing has led to enlightenment! :o Come to realize that combat level doesn't really mean anything, or prove anything (even in relation to total skill). I used to think Combat level was directly related to the amount of time someone has been playing the game (with exception to the level 3 skillers). So for a long time I thought: Low combat level + high total level = "wow." But I've had this account for almost three years (playing for about one and a half), so I know that doesn't really hold true. But when your combat level gets passed the 70s...Raising your skills isn't much of a challenge at all. Compared to a "Pure skiller" (very inefficient, imo) who can't teleport or complete certain quests (and so must go without a great deal of quest rewards), 70+ "Skillers" have it rather easy. So really, the only thing a level 70+ "Skiller" is saying is.."I don't like training combats." And that's cool. Intentionally avoiding combat experience beyond that level is pointless and doesn't prove anything except that you want to feel like somebody (the best sub level 90, for example). I'll admit that's how I felt. But now, I want to experience everything RuneScape has to offer. Combat happens to be a large part of that. Call me a cheapskate, I want the most out of my 5$ a month :P Thanks to everyone here who has a DK and/or Barrow and/or Slayer blog for giving me a glimpse of what I've been depriving myself of. Thanks, Death, for reminding me that I don't have to "choose" between Skills and Combat :) Everything 99 eventually, right? O:) [/rant] A few levelups yesterday. Missed 64 Defence. [hide=53 Slayer, 65 Defence] [/hide] 86 Combat 8-) The only qualm I have about my combat level is that it may be more difficult to craft through the abyss. :| I plan on making combination runes until 91 runecrafting, so I guess I won't see the abyss for a long time anyway. Oh well. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
  23. I hope you've gone to fetch waffles, because that's what I expect when you get back. Three days worth of waffles. =P~
