  1. heyyyy~ You should uhm, do swan song next week or so and fish with me :o O:)
  2. Hi, I'm here for the waffles....Oh. So...when you get 99 fletching...will you fletch us waffles? :| I see no waffle-dispensing mechanism, nor any plans for such a device. Don't hold out on us! Brr. I'd rather be eating waffles than wishing you well with your goals. But since there are no waffles in my immediate surroundings...Good Luck.
  3. Sorry, Shadow. Someone's holding onto my brassy til I can wear it (guess who). She makes it look good, too. =P~ :-w [hide=Karils Coif] [/hide] [hide=79 Magic, 61 Ranged, 70 HP] [/hide] Still 85 Combat, Thankyou. Talk about procrastinating.. I want to get 70 Runecrafting. But, well, I might as well start leveling RC with combo runes. Oh, I need 82 Magic to do magic imbue. But staying at the mage training arena gets boring fast. Ok, let's Barrow to train magic. Oh, but I should get 55 slayer, 70 def, and 70 ranged to really Barrow. Anyway, I'm pretty much out of Death runes and Prayer Potions. So, combats "training" and/or money making tomorrow. Probably do some shade burning. "You've got like 16983923429 Total Skill. I think it's time to go combats  " Roffle at my friend. Helped one of my friends on his first Barrows run. He's addicted now too. :) Bwahaha. Someone else said after their sixth trip that Barrows just wasn't for him because he doesn't have any luck with it :? That's unfortunate. But I guess I don't know what that feels like. For me it's fun whether or not I get an item. So I can't lose. When it stops being fun is when I'll stop going there. 8-) Sure, I'll posty on blogs and stuff.
  4. Thanks, Death. Looks like you've done your homework  If I decide to take this seriously, I'll begin working on slayer, ranging, and defence. For now I've upgraded some of my equipment. Heh. [hide=More of Ants stuff][/hide] I like my Runner Boots And another one [hide=Clicky] [/hide] Doing better on food/ppots, methinks :)
  5. Roffle. [hide=Run Number 10 or something] [/hide] Time for me to take a break and think about things. I may get 70 defence to wear that. Looks hot :-k Now I use only 1-4 doses. Extra P pot to be on the safe side. Go through quite a bit of food, but tuna potatoes are rather cheap, anyway. Guess I'll start keeping track of my expenses after today.
  6. Very nice! (Digging cape emote, plx? :o) Lol. See you at Barrows soon, probably
  7. Fellow Barrowingers :D MtK is definately worth the investment :o Other than that, I'd suggest Herb seeds if/when you can grow ranarrs. Even toadflax seeds are a decent investment. Seeds are 1.5k-2k each, herbs are 2.2k each or so. HAH. Toadflax, Ranarr, and Kwuarm seeds are the more consistent ones as far as selling herbs/pots, imo.
  8. I think the thing I dislike most about combat is "training" it. I actually enjoy stuff like shade burning, slaying, mole/kbd/whateverbigmonster hunting, and (more recently) barrowing. But I heart skillies above most combat activities =; Lol. Yeah, I was praying on all of them. I didn't really understand the prayer drain thing either. But now I get it, and I think I'm getting the hang of it. I've almost graduated to using 1 dose per run. A sometimes I'll need more, depending on who I fight in the tunnels. Sometimes they like to hit me extra hard and I have to pray  Anyway, now I start of with Dharok. Kill him with 25~ prayer left. Then go to Karil (take a dose before I dig) and usually kill him before I have to drink another. I don't use prayer on any other brothers. Ahrim doesn't seem so bad with ranged gear on. I'm wearing n33by Blue d hide. Maybe the [bleep]y vambs throw him off? :-k lol. idk. uhm, I'll posty my gear later. Be ready to laugh at it. I don't have the slayer level for slayer dart. I've just been using wind blast. Costs less than a slayer dart and seems to work about as well. I bring lumby tele runes and ecto along too. Pray at the church in lumby then use ecto and bank in canifs. Yeh, house portal and what all will make trips faster. I'll do that later. [hide=79 magic] [/hide] Leveling magic here is a heck of a lot more interesting than at the mage training arena. That gets three and a half thumbs up  Edit: [hide=Ants stuff][/hide] The thing I like about this is that everything on me is expendable :-w Seems to do the job. Suggestions are more than welcomed :ohnoes: I'll do more reading and try out different equipment. More cost effective/efficient would be nice.
  9. Heya! Crashed into you at Barrows (if anyone asks, I was uh...training the little-known "Digging" skill) :-$ Fun way to make money. Good luck!
  10. Awhh, poor Anty can't take a joke? I have to admit, it did get pretty kinda really annoying, but hey, only a day, right? I'm going on vacation for two days, I figure by then my ale will have fermented =o. Sure, Anty can take a joke. But remember: Jokes are funny. =; [hide=75 Farming] [/hide] And..What's this? Ant at Barrows? :ohnoes: :uhh: :uhh: :ohnoes: :ohnoes: Thought it looked like fun so I decided to head out on a few test runs. [hide=Run Numbah 2] [/hide] Yeh, I go through Prayer Potions like candy, but I'm doing alright so far 8-) I'm considering doing this as a part time job :-k (yanno, after training up so I don't eat so many p pots)
  11. I think a mud rune "company" may stand more of a chance. The Earth Altar is closer to a bank than the Fire Altar which may eliminate the Runners need for Rings of Dueling (of course Balloons from Cwars would speed things up). Since Magic Imbue uses Waters, there's another inventory slot available for more Pure Essence. And Mud runes can be utilized in more spells than any other Combi Rune (especially in the wilderness) Assuming the Crafters were able to cast Magic Imbue: A Runner could receive 26 Mud Runes for their 26 Pure Essence and 26 Water Runes (or maybe for just the Pure Essence) Cost to the Crafter would be the 2 Astral Runes, 7 Water Runes and the necklaces of binding (a lot less than compared to FFL, and Laws are the same exp as Mud) Let's say 200gp each for the Astral, 25 each for waters, and 2k each for Binding. 200(2) + 25(7) + 2000/15 = cost of 708.33 per inventory (9.5*26=247 exp). Even if crafters were willing to provide their waters for the Combi Runes, they would come out with less of a loss than with FFL 25(26) + 708.33 = 1358.33 gp per 26 Mud. A little more than half the cost of FLL. And you get Magic exp to boot. Seems like great news for the Crafter. For this to appeal to the Runner, would depend on what price the Buyers are willing to pay. I would think that Mud Runes would be bought for at least 100 gp each...if they could be sold for more it might be more appealing to run Muds than Laws, as the Mud route is shorter and doesn't involve having to talk to monks.
  12. Its ussualy the other way around, if buyers come, runners apear. As for me, I have been discussing combo-crafting by alot, but still after reading some of it, it really does not make any sense to me yet. For every time you craft, you need a talisman + the appropriate runes + pure essence. That is alot to think of. And I am not talking about the necklaces or runes and duel rings yet. Really, is there anyone who can explain the process in simple english :P (or even dutch) I love runecrafting, but it has never really gotten clear to me, what combi-crafting makes it worth it. Assuming you craft combi runes at the fire altar, your inventory would be something like: pouches (Large and giant. if you are crafting steam runes, take the medium as well. p ess x21, or x26 if you are crafting steam, but you only use up to 22) Fire runes (for magic imbue. If you are making steam runes, Don't take fires) Astral runes (for magic imbue) Elemental runes of your choice Pure ess x 23 [water staff equiped. If you are making steam runes, equip fire staff] Or: Pouches (large and giant if you can) (21 p ess) Elemental Talisman of your choice (x2) Runes of your choice (to match Elemental Talisman) Pure ess x22 Fire tiara, Binding necklace, and Ring of Dueling equipped Rub the Ring of Dueling and teleport to Al Kharid Dueling arena. Run from the Dueling arena to the fire altar. Cast magic imbue and use your chosen elemental runes on the fire altar (if you have talismans, just use a talisman on the fire altar), repeat after emptying your pouches. Then teleport to Castlewars. Bank and repeat. If you have medium to giant pouches you'd be crafting 45 Steam Runes per trip or 44 Smoke/Lava Runes per trip (with magic imbue) or 44 Combi Runes per trip using Talismans (only large and giant pouch) If you do not use pouches (or don't have pouches up to giant), you would craft: 26 Steam runes or 25 Smoke/Lava runes per trip using magic imbue or 26 Combi runes per trip using a talisman. Oddfaery2 compared nat crafting and FFL to his method of crafting fire runes (Original Post here) I believe he uses all four pouches. Fire runes are 7 exp per ess crafted compared to 9.5 Per Smoke rune (Air & Fire) 10 Per Steam rune (Water & Fire), and 10.5 Per Lava rune (Earth & Fire) (according to the Runecrafting guide on Tip.it/runescape) Logically, crafting combi runes would be greater exp/hour than fire runes. (which in itself was faster than nats and laws) The GP COST would be somewhat greater than using the FFL method, but in the end you get your nifty combi runes, which I believe is what i D r was trying to get at in the first place. Yes, it takes the most planning/preparation than ANY of the other Runecrafting methods, but I believe it to be the most effective taking into account cost and time. It may be possible to break even with combi runes if one tried and had the patience to wait for buyers to find them. I agree with Huta. The advantage of mud and smoke runes is desireable, but if players can't get them they would rather go without than to make the runes themselves.
  13. I love Illuminati's Skiller Guide as well Combo Runes will certainly be my main method of raising Runecrafting. That's the bit that did it for me, really. In the Long run (and I consider 91 RC and beyond 'long run'), it seems combo runes are THE way to go. The money spent for the time saved will be more than made up for with the 'extra time' once 91 RC has been reached, and the nifty-keen combo runes are a bonus . :o If/when you need to, just make some money as you go. (Crafting nats or cosmics[x2] to fund your combo runes) If Jagex did introduce an addition to the game that created a want for more combo runes, t'would be the best day ever  Then perhaps combo rune crafters could conspire to create a company with which to RULE THE RS WORLD   *regains composure* Ahem. But until then, I think it would be more efficient/rewarding to solo craft combos.
  14. Agreed. Translating this rubbish isn't worth our time Grats on 62 you know what.
  15. About the vat: yeah, I realized afterwards that its examine info changes when it's ready. Thanks. Honestly: I am seriously irritated at this filter. Alright, April Fools, HAHA. Wow. Tif thinks they are clever or something. I just think it's unprofessional. Forget trying to interpret this crud. See you April 2nd.
  16. mmMMmmMmm...Chocolate turtles....(that's what they remind me of. lol) Your slayer goal is coming along quickly  You'll be slayerizering Dusties in no time. Good luck with your soccer games
  17. Grats on 67 fishing! One more til you can legitimately enter the fishing guild  (pssst, forget the guild. Piscatoris Fishing Colony > All.)
  18. That's why I put money into MtK at all. It's an investment. You make a profit on any of the resources your citizens gather. The longer you can wait before collecting, the more likely you are to get better bonuses, 'cause of you know...probability. Or whatever. Something like that, right? :anxious: Anyway, 75k a day won't be missed too much. 8-) I think. I guess we'll see :P By that time I'd probably be ready for 99 herblore and farming. The herbs and seeds will come in handy. 90~ cooking from the swordfish. Coal is always nice. 95 or so firemaking from maples. money money money from teak and mahogany 8-) (assuming teak and mahogany plank prices stay around the same by next year. :ohnoes: ) [hide=67 Runecrafting] [/hide] Hey, it turns out I'm on break for another week. I got the dates wrong O:) So I have another change to make my 70 Runecrafting goal :-w
  19. No, you don't get swamped. It's not a multi-combat zone. It's also far less congested than the normal abyss. Yep, I get my pouches there. Yay for the alternate abyss. If I ever get around to training combats and slayer, that is where I would go for abyssal demon tasks. (so in like 10 years or something. hope to see you there) :-w
  20. I don't. Really. :uhh: Lol. Never really cared much for having money on me (see: spender). It does feel nice to have a pocketful of change for once though. :XD: Now to spend it all on skills!! =P~ =P~ =P~ bwaha. I've already spent most of it \ [hide=66 Runecrafting (yesterday)] [/hide] [hide=74 Farming] [/hide] [hide=84 Cooking] [/hide] Collected from MtK: 10 days (750k spent) 10 on Hardwood (Teak & Mahogany) 5 on Fish Approval at 95~100% Interesting. I get more gems from fish than from coal  Now I might put 3 workers on each resource except for seeds, put 750k in the coffers every 10 days for as long as I'm doing alright money-wise. have a goal of, I don't know..100 days or something. Or a year. Something crazy :) Or maybe...keep it going until I achieve my goals that I don't incorporate with the resources from MtK. (80 Crafting, 80 Thieving, 80 Hunter, 85 Mining, 90~ Con, 91 Runecrafting, 99 Fishing, 99 Agility, 99 Woodcutting) That would be a good long while, I'd wager. And an awesome reward for achieving those goals :
  21. Cats are most definately ftw. Nothing beats having a follower with unwavering loyalty (as long as you're not a chublet who can't give them attention when appropriate! lolzness.) The Cat armies will rule! \ You don't have Ava's accumulator equiped. Why is this? Tell me why and then fix it, please :notalk:
  22. woooooooooooootnessssssss!!!!! \ \ Grats, dude. Can't wait to see the next Goal/Bloggy. :D OffTopic: No more Pumpkiness?!?!1 :uhh: :uhh:
  23. Thanks. :D 27 March 2007 [hide=65 Runecrafting] [/hide] This weekend I sold most of my pots and all of my fish (6k Cooked Lobs, 17k Raw Monks, 1k raw Sharks, 1k Cooked Sharks). I sold the 200k feathers I had been holding onto for ages since 99 Fishing Plan A was to flyfish (and in Barb Village, no less. Ah, the F2P days..). Ant's cash pile sees an M for the first time ever. Almost three years. (I'm a usually a spender. *whistle*) Yay for Spring Break! A few thousand nats today and a handful of laws. Feeling confident about getting 70 Runecrafting this week. And I'm looking forward to going back to Fishing afterwards. Life is ohsogood. *Bigsmile*
