eh. Not like I was expecting to make billions on my first trip :anxious: tried again yesterday. my suicider almost killed me #-o when he came in he started walking towards me and I had to yell at him to get back. "Stay away from me!!" :XD: Managed to get settled in but after 5 rexes a duo came in. I wasn't getting any drops with them being there, and they were making rex move a bit too much for my comfort, so I just left Headed to barrows for some better luck [hide=Veracs Brassard number 2][/hide] I'm in the mood for some slayer so I'll be doing that today. Might do some herblore too. Hopefully get that above 70 soon :P

Here's what it looks like when Ant tries to DK (solo mage): Attempt 1: Had to make a quick entrance 'cause my friend had to leave. So he helps me get past the door and I'm on my own. Got to the blocked entry thingy and equipped rune throwing axe. I toss it at one of the doors before turning on the spec. #-o "That was your last one!" Failure. Attempt 2: Asked Arnie to help get me passed the first door, but she thought otherwise and helped me get dressed up, led me there, and suicided. she went in first to scope the lair. after getting the OK, I followed and tried to find the safe spot and grab rex. I think I see the spot, so I spit on Rexy, then "From Arnie: Grab my spear!" Here's me: :shock: !! Oh, my. I find the spear and tele out with 14 or such hp left. Failure. Attempt 3: Figured out it wasn't gonna work if I didn't have someone to get Prime and Supreme off of me after I went in, so I snagged a suicider. I had to stop and check a map at every rest stop, but other than that, it went perfectly. stayed for an hour and twenty or so, 700 casts. Didn't get anything worth picking up aside from bones and hides. But still, I thought it was awesome :mrgreen: hurray for first DK trip evar~ Attempt 4: I was feeling good after that trip, so I felt up for going again, 'cept that I didn't have a suicider. Another friend asks me why didn't I tell him I was at DKs 'cause he would've liked to go. OK! :D I flag down Death to suicide for us and I figure this run will mean some good drops. Wrong. My friend got pounded while we try to get to the lair, I kept getting attacked by a dag at the empty corridor, so many wasted resources :? finally we get ready to go down the ladder, but my friend selects "Follow" me as I go down...grr. I'm waiting for him to come to the safe spot and I see him run towards me, but taking a lot of hard hits. I see him break the tele tab, but too late, and he died =( looted his runes and ran back up the ladder. Resituated myself and tried again for a solo trip. Made it in alright and Death did great getting Prime and Supreme away from me. Only 4 Super restores left, so I thought it was gonna be a terribly short trip. Ended up staying for about an hour, 500 casts. Still no 'drops.' Picked up 50 Mith ore and a Rune sq though. Alched the sq and gave half of that plus the 50 Mith ore (and his runes) to my friend. Not too bad for a Nooby Noob such as I, I suppose. I really should get my stats up before I try again. But I'm likely to head back over there once I can afford another trip. bwahahaha Thanks again to Death and Arnie for being teh awesome <3!!

It takes a bit longer to kill the brothers with my attack and strength levels, and I end up eating quite a bit, but still it's faster since I don't have to worry about getting my Kill Count up to make up for lost runes. having to eat so much gets scary :ohnoes: and downright frustrating when guthan keeps healing off of me :evil: lol but I'm glad I got this set Did some spontaneous Mole-killing afterwards with Death and a couple other friends. the loot was alright, and completely free. Killed her four or five times, I think, without having to recharge prayer. could've stayed for ages but we headed off to Barbarian Assault instead.

Barricades are made with logs and hammer in the inventory. Just click on the Penance Cave to barricade it. If you Right-Click you will see the option "Block-Penance Cave." Yes, only Defenders can make barricades, but anyone can kick them down when they need to. I'm glad this thread is still alive :-w I've been doing other things but gathering as much info and pics for this guide as I can when I get my teams together for some Barbarian Assault :D Videos are in the works. Those probably explain better than I (or anyone) ever could with words :-#

Mmhmm, animated armor is probably the fastest way to get tokens. I'd suggest Black (Level 69 - 20 Tokens) or Mithril (Level 92 - 25 Tokens) armor. Definately yes for Barbarian Assault sometime. Thankies If you need to log out between waves, click on "Click here to log out" once. A message (in the chat box) will come up saying "if you click log out before the wave ends your progress will not save; if you log out after finishing this wave, your progress will save." Once you kill all of the monsters in the current wave, it will log you out if you were using a safe spot (if you weren't, you'll get the message "you must wait 10 seconds after combat before logging out." just wait a bit and click log out) However, when you log back in, you'll be smack in the center of the caves and the next wave will have started, so chances are that there will be monsters on your behind as soon as you get back. :? Logging out at waves where you have 360's isn't recommended at all. :shock: This is my first decent clue in years :o (although, I must admit I'm not an avid clue hunter :oops: ) Here's to more of them! *does the good-ju-ju-transference-ritual dance* Hope that helps ;) edit: killed a few blueys, then did a LOT of loafing around (irl). Anyway, this post prompted me to head down there and try the 1 click maze navigation..thing..Anyway, I've figured out at least one way to do it in one click (well, technically two clicks). the dots I've circled in green are the ones you wanna focus on. Eventually, their paths will cross at the green dot. After they cross is when you wanna click somewhere close to the red dot. (not too far west, or another troll will spot you). Be aware of the dots following the blue lines though. Sometimes you'll need to wait a round or so before the dots following the blue line won't be on you when the circled dots cross. 1 clicking to get the goutweed is the only way that I've been able to do it :oops: When I did Eadgar's Ruse I tried for an hour or so (trying to be smart and hiding and whatnot) without success. Then I thought 'augh, forget this! :evil: ' and just clicked next to the sleeping guard and made it through. lol For Dream Mentor I thought I'd try that same thing, and it worked :P

Made another attempt at the fight caves. Things were looking great. got to 360 180 90 45, 11 and a half super restores and I hadn't even touched my three sara brews. Thought it was the one. Then I got a call telling me my parents' car was ready to be picked up from the shop. Had to log off so I could go get it, died as soon as I came back. :cry: Quite frustrating. :? Anyhow, back to fishing. I guess I'll do a few barrow runs with the c bow again later today<3 Fight caves again tomorrow. :pray:

I'll admit: when someone cast that spell on me I felt kind of..exposed. Maybe I was just being silly, but I don't know...Makes me feel vulnerable for some reason, even though I know the hiscores and whatnot are there for all to see. But this way just feels a lot like someone's 'peeking' at you. And they are. :uhh: lol

I agree with the points that The Tallest1 has made. Ghoul, didn't I mean that higher combat level (with neglect to noncombat skills) = better player. Looking at the Quests as a whole, I like the idea that you need combat levels as well as skill levels to be that much closer to completing the game. I'd be quite pleased to see higher skill requirements as well! Some people like to keep their combat levels low for whatever reason, that's fine, that's great. But so what? Are people who like to keep their combat levels low simply to show off their relatively high total levels more worthy of respect that people who solely train combat to show of their 'strength'? I don't think so. 126 combat & 2277 Total > Mostly leaning towrads skills <=> Mostly leaning towards combat. I hold someone who works on both of those aspects of the game in higher regard than someone who neglects either (especially purposely). Perhaps the difficulty of the monsters themselves could've done enough 'filtering.' The fact would remain that you would need a decent combat level to defeat them and thus earn the Quest Point cape. Anyway, I'm looking forward to more fights like these. No prayer, no safe spots, different styles of attack from a hard hitting boss whilst minions are attacking you to try to keep you off balance. Staying completely safe is impossible. I like that.

I think this quest is great; the requirements as well as the rewards. Honestly, I'm glad to see a combat requirement on the Quest Cape. Quests are generally the 'meat' of an RPG, aren't they? So it makes sense that a "Quest Master" would have to be well versed in many (if not all) aspects of the game. If you wish to limit yourself to certain things, that's up to you, but you'll be missing out and it's totally on your part, not Jagex's. If Jagex decides to raise the bar higher, my character will improve that much more to meet that standard. While they haven't yet, I'll proudly don my Questy cape *dramatic pose*

I heart the new quest The quest is short and sweet. (Love the combat req. Hehe :twisted: ) The Rewards are awesome. Level 96 for Spellbook change and I'd be on Lunar forever. If only one could spellbook change and set a slayer staff to auto cast Magic Dart. I would be on Lunar forever.

90 combat (at the time that I did it. 91 from the hp level :P) I used zerker helm, karil top and bottom, glory, skillcape, runner boots, barrow gloves, black defender, ddp+ (hehe), d scim, two rings of recoil. sipped a super attack and strength at the bank. switched to verac brassy and torag legs after the first monster. Used about 18 sharks, most on the first one, only a couple on the second, none after that. Seems like it'd be do-able at 85 with better food and equipment :D I wants 96 magic for spell book swap :XD: edit: if we could cast that spell then set auto cast slayer dart, I would stay on lunar forever after 96 mage
