a simple suggestion for black mask.
rangers complain about being underpowered yet JaGex only allows meleers to benefit more than anyone else still. They can't complain after this :P When dont rangers complain, they always complain! No matter how much you give people they will always want more. I mean they just got salamanders, chinchompas, c'bows, composition bows, blessed dragon hide armour, and still you say range is underpowered/jagex only gives benefits to meleers. Hunter was focused entirely on improving the range skill, I know because I wrote up the list of updates to go in other guides on Tip.It No support those are good things but they don't concentrate on slayer in particular. I know many people who range slay and are hitting only around 19s with range while i can hit 23s at only 70strength with my black mask. *sarcastically* I know, 19's are soooo low! I mean.... Come on! You're complaining about 4 points of damage! Instead of complaining go out and get the new items, then we'll see if we listen to you.

you ever wonder?..when varrock will have a makeover?....
Ever heard of these things called commas, periods, and grammar? If it wasn't for your title I wouldn't be able to understand what you were talking about! Anyway, the main reason that Varrok hasn't been updated is because Jagex is focusing on members. Falador was updated so that free players would see and realize that everything was better on members worlds. You know how Jagex has been telling us about the creature graphic updates?

*New* A constructors dream {Pictures Included} *New*
Spelling Misstake! Lol. A} He spelled it right. B} You mispelled mistake. On-topic. While I would love free planks. This will never happen. As stated before, Construction was a ploy to suck money out of the economy by giving us something we wanted extremely. They'll probably bring horses in next, give us a stable for about 200k, charge 20k for basic horse and up it from there! In conclusion, as I stated on the first post of this topic, it will never work, no matter how much we would like it to.

Agreed. This idea has potential, but please describe what you mean.

~~Newer Bank Of Runescape~~ **Updated again 05/15/09**
Your first concern has been avidly debated and most people have brought this up. Obviously, using text is not an extremely attractive option. The icons really only help players, people can make their own designations for each icon. As for the default, first of all it doesn't really matter because you can switch the buttons. Second, Thagern stated that swap is within a bank tab, while insert is to put into a new category.

@ Construction Guild @ (includes lots of graphics)
Construction doesn't make that much sense, so Woodcutting is probably the way to go. However, the first level should be around 45 for planks, 50 for oak, 60 for teak, and 75 for mahogany.
-
@ Construction Guild @ (includes lots of graphics)
Oh ok.... but those are the same levels that's required for the Sawmill. It doesn't really matter anyway, as the minimum entry level is 60, so if you can get in, you can use the tablesaw regardless. I really just included the levels for formalities sake. :) Wait...I thought that the tablesaw was used with the Woodcutting skill. If it's for Construction, it still needs to go up.

@ Construction Guild @ (includes lots of graphics)
1. I got rid of the marble and gold dust, since I couldn't think of a valid use for them. 2. In regards to cutting experience. I don't want this as an alternative to woodcutting. I'd rather people got the majority of experience from cutting trees. But it would be nice to get a little experience from cutting the planks yourself so that there's some kind of return for spending so much money (unlike the current sawmill). 3. Location is open for discussion. If the same location is mentioned often enough, I'll draw up a graphic for it. We need to keep it relatively close to a bank, but not too close lol. Thanks for the feedback. 2) I wasn't talking about the experience, but the levels at which you said players can make them.

Few 'minor' PoH suggestions to make life easier
No, just bronze axe and bronze pickaxe. Why not? I've surprised many people with my fried onion/cheese/pitta bread/Chefs ale dinners. Exactly the point. Why not let us make it ourselves, and in return let us butter up our potatoes, so we can make much more various things with these. It would be just for the teleport spells (not telegroup spells or any of the others) You can make a new one by chopping a log from that tree and using a knife on it, then buying golden wool from that troll, and then you can charge it. You can have multiple lyres. Morytania, perhaps at Burgh de Rott, but I thought it appropriate since the dwarves have been working down there for months to increase the room for more people to live. So why not us. 1) I don't see the need for a bronze pickaxe, what are going to mine? 2) I didn't say you shouldn't, I just said I don't see the point. 3) Why would you bring potatos to your house? 5) Then that makes sense. However, would the lunar/ancient lecterns work the same way? 7) Thanks, I dropped mine after Fremmenik Trials :D 8) I see your point, but Relleka isn't very far away, and the ride to Miscellania is free.

Friends lists in alphabetical order (19+ supporters!)
What do you mean by numerical order?
-
@ Construction Guild @ (includes lots of graphics)
First of all, the cutting levels are pretty low. Planks are huge money wasters, and woodcutting is a relatively easy skill to level. Second of all, are you keeping the gold/marble dust? If so, what does it do? Third of all, I don't think Ardougne is a good location. Perhaps putting a guild in Relekka, Morytania, or Karamja would be better. Good suggestion though.

Make castle wars a level 50+ minigame
Level doesn't matter. You still barricade, kill in tunnels by mining, and just directing strategy against enemies.
-
Friends lists in alphabetical order (19+ supporters!)
The offline names are organized in the order that you added them to the list. The online (green first, then yellow) are in order of who logged on first. If they were on before you, the order depends on what place they had on your friends list. Oh, and I support.

Hold it... Did I hit 17 or was it the guy next to me?
I support. However, allowing you to choose the color would probably be to complex and would result in newbs not knowing what to do.

Loosen up the censors!
The censor needs to be relaxed somewhat. When I say my name it comes out "Shadow***val" #-o

Craft more whips
While I would love a whip, this update would just ruin it. So no.

F2p Mage Proposal *Read it now!* 105 supporters!!!!
1. That doesn't interest me it's 5 dollars for members, you don't pay a damn thing, seriously I don't know how you are going to survive in the real world if you think that Jagex as a business need to continually be giving you free stuff because in some dumb little world you live in you believe you deserve it. 2. Why do I get the impression you could use this argument forever? 3. Oh wait, it was an example of of f2p whining for free stuff then getting bored of it within a few weeks. 4. It was just an example of a skill that was brought out for f2p opening lots of different avenues for it. 5. You need to realise that Jagex are a business that don't owe you anything and ifyou can't pay be thankful you can play at all, most MMORPG's cost a monthly subscription to play them, there is no option of an everlasting "f2p". You need to calm down. 1. They do deserve some stuff, without them, then Jagex, wouldn't get money from ads, and i'm guessing that thats about 25-30% of the profits 2. No comment 3. So you bias your answer on what some F2Pers say? Actually, i bet most of them were expecting some awesome shoes, not cheap bronze knock-offs 4. No comment 5. He is right, and most MMORPGS have 'everlasting' F2P Money in ads? Do you know how much they make from them? I don't and I don't see how you do? 25-30%? Did you just make that up because it supported your argument? I suppose here you're saying the stronghold wasn't good enough for you? Ok a 3/4 level dungeon with ample monsters to kill opening up some great training spots as well as helping younger users secure their account? I thought that was a generous update for f2p. Most MMORPG's? Well i'd like to here some examples and that is of companies on the scale of Jagex. As a member, I have to say I agree with penguingeek. Upping the attack of mage would even things out. Offense is good without defense because mages can attack from FAR away, so by the time the warrior gets there he's low on health and only a few more attacks to go. On the MMORPG's, try Guild Wars, I'd say NCSoft is a pretty big company :D

@ Construction Guild @ (includes lots of graphics)
Slayer Guild - Slayer Tower basically Farming Guild - They do need one. Runecrafting - What would be the point?! You can't put altars in them, teleporting to altars, pointless. Mining ess, stop complaining and get into Magic Guild. OnTopic: I agree! We need a construction guild! You can say that the Abyss is kinda like the Runecrafting Guild. I don't see the point of a Farming Guild. On Topic: Would you need to move your house to the guild to use the home portal? Also, maybe you should add the Real Estate agent into there

Few 'minor' PoH suggestions to make life easier
1) I agree with the bromze axe, it's frustrating when you want to cut down some logs for your fire and need to go to bank to get it. Are you saying that logs should be on the tool store? 2) We really don't need to use it in the kitchen. If you can think of a way to use it, go ahead. 3) Why? Why make your own cheese when it's ready-made for you? 4) Great idea. This was the original idea for Farming as posted by Jagex in June 2005. 5) Besides the fact that you would need to do the respective quests, the lunar and ancient magicks are supposed to be hard, so a lectern would sort of ruin it. 6) Sure, why not? 7) Definetly. Kinda off topic, how do you get your lyre back if you lost it? Oh, and back on topic, you do know you can move your house to Relleka? 8) There need to be some other locations as well. (Miscellania isn't that good because Relleka is nearby. Maybe Tree Gnome Stronghold, Al Kharid, Morytania, Karamja/Shilo Village? Also, maybe you could have a woodworking bench in the workshop, so you can make all sorts of things like wooden swords for practice.

Noobs say the funniest things!
I had a moment with a friend irl who is quite noobish. Him: Can you help me with Gertrude's Cat? Me: I told you what to do, remember?(Told him to check Tip.It) Him: Ya, they don't tell you what box to look in. Me: That's because it's random for every player. Him: What box was your's in? Me: a) I don't remember B) it's different for every player!! Him: I can't find the kitten Me: Read me your quest journal Reads, evreything is the way it should be. Me: Well, you did everything, so make sure you checked everywhere. Logs out Logs on 10 min later Him: I found it! Him: Can I buy your full rune for 40k? Me: #-o :wall:

~~Newer Bank Of Runescape~~ **Updated again 05/15/09**
Thanks for your feedback, I don't know how i missed it before. #1 Not being a programmer myself, i don't know anything about how these will be coded. So i won't be able to give any accurate knowledge on memory useage etc. But, i did change from the 'name your own bank slot' idea to the icons because i knew that would reduce memore useage. (and it looks better) #2 The locking idea. Now, you ask if items locked with a '0' count would be consume bank space? Yes, they would, the idea behind the lock items is that instead of having to rearrange your bank every time you want to go out and train etc, your armour and weapons would be locked to the tab you placed them in. (If you need more explaniation, please ask, i know what im taking about, but i never know how to explain it properly) #3 I had tossed up wtih that idea, It could work, but my consern is that in order for that to work ( i would imagain) the bin icon would become a slot, so people know what will be thrown out. I guess how you explain it, that any items in the bin 'slot' would be forced out upon closing the bank page would work. #4 I think i wrote that at like 3 in the morning, so it makes no sence to me, but what you write sounds reasonable. (the insert and swap bit) #5 The knowledge base, would defently make this idea alot easier, and would eliminate the need for the 'whats this' options, And i think once people saw their new bank, they would be running to the knowledge base to find out what everything does Sorry i didn't get back to you sooner elven mist, I don't know how i missed your post actually I'm baaaaaack! :P All right, Thagern, I'm on to bouncing off your response this time; let me know what you think :D : 1) Okay, honestly, I'm no programer myself :anxious:, so I'm just basically using common sense as to what the system (JaGex servers) will have to keep track of for each player. To make life easy for JaGex and RuneScape players (and you), let's say that your whole system is standardized--which is up to your discretion--and there are up to, we'll say, twelve (12) tabs, which are set to specific skill combination icons (that still need to be worked out before a finalized version is sent to JaGex... *=P~ at the thought of helping*). The customizable portion for players could possibly be the number and arrangement of tabs used as well as the icons for said tabs. If there is any confusion as to what a tab means, hovering your mouse pointer over the tab would bring a pop-up box with the tab's name--similar to the Stat screen's exp information. ~ ~ *gives a hopeful look* Problems/issues solved? 2) With your explination, it finally clicked as to what you're talking about with the "Lock" feature; it's essentially placeholding! I didn't realize this before because :-$ I already use placeholders :), and as such, rarely deal with mixing my stuff up every single time I want to train something different. My way, with the current banking system, means having at least two of my most-used items--armor, weapons, tools, etc.--one for usage, the other as a placeholder. Your new system makes it so there is no need to spend extra time and money aquiring second (or more) sets of a given item; it makes perfect sense! ~ ~ What I would love to have a better understanding with is the "Ghost" feature. Please, help me to understand this! 3) Yes, the "Bin" function could be similar to the trash can on most email accounts (Hotmail here, so that's what I'm using as a base), but instead of it automatically emptying after a set period of time, when you go to exit your bank after moving an item to the Bin--either by clicking the window closed or trying to move your character on the map--a non-avoidable confirmation window would pop up containing all the items currently in the Bin Slot and asking you to verify before the items are dropped/given away (if linked to the proposed Charity Hall or revision talks about Party Pete's Chest). Thinking about it, though, it may be better for the Bin to act more like the Recycle Bin on Windows' desktop, and not empty until you physically tell it to empty, and it gives you a confirmation; this would probably be the better idea if there were connection issues or you had to log out quickly. ~ ~ Your feedback? And, as far as missing my post, maybe it's because you were writing and somehow missed the huge post of size 14 blue text... #-o ~~~~~ ENJOY!! : Did anyone else know that there's a 10 smiley limit to a post? I didn't before I tried posting this one the first time. LOL... #1 So, your suggesting having 12 tabs with preset icons on what can be stored in them? I didn't really want to do that as it limits players, and in a way forces them to store that type of item in that slot. I want players to be free to customise the tabs themselves, bescause there are lots of different types of players, myself, i am a skiller, so i won't need an armour slot etc. I think that is what you are saying, correct me if im wrong. #2 PLACEHOLDER that is what i needed to say all along. Yes, it is a placeholder. I do the same as you, store 2 items to hold that item in place, but some items players can sometimes only afford on of, (dragon/rare). The ghost item, some items (feathers etc) can be used in 2 slots fletching/fishing, the ghost item makes a replicar of that item, lets say you have 20,000 feathers, if you ghost the item, another 20,000 feathers appear, which can be moves between slots. Now, when lets say 1,000 feathers are removed from one stack, 1,000 will be removed from the other. Proberly not the best since feathers are the only thing i can think of that would require it : oops : . #3 After thinking of it, i guess the bin could become another 'slot' but any items in there would count to the total in the bank, then the bin could be emptied when a player wanted, i like that idea. I think we are making progress -Hehe, my backfround is blue, so it didn't stand out as much on my screen as it would yours : lol : --No, i didn't know there was a max of 10 smiles per post, i have never used that many. : P ( tried to post, i had 16... grr, this could take awhile to find 6 to delete)( tried again, still have 1 to remove) ---I am male, for future reference : D As a side note, I haven't looked at this thread in ages so new suggestions are a refresher. 1) While I agree with what you are saying Thagern, I see the merit of having pre-set tabs. True skillers/pures wouldn't use all the tabs, but not using tabs isn't taking up bank space, so why does it matter if there's another tab to put things in? This should probably be discussed a bit more, because both sides have good points. 2) There are plenty of other things. You could stick fish into cooking and fishing, as well as combat. Pots would also fit. Tools like tinderboxes, knives, etc. could also fit into multiple categories. P.S. I think there should be a "Basic Tools" tab for stuff like spades, tinderboxes, and coins. 3) The question is would the Bin area be a 13th tab? Or would the stuff inside return to their original tabs? Or get dropped? 4) As a point I wanted to bring up, the Charity Hall needs to be worked. It would solve the begger problem though P.P.S. Elven Mist took all the smilies =(

This thread has gone nowhere for ages. People should give suggestions instead of say that you support.
