  1. nice! i like the idea, although some of the effects, especially that of the sword of the demise, would need to be toned down though. All the rc'ers out there would go nuts over this :D Edit: I like the avvy, "If copperfield i must, then copperfield i shall."
  2. 7/10, chow mein is usually good, especially if its not the crap "just add water!" kind nutella on bread :D

  4. hmm...maybe add something like alloys? (actually, all smithable metals above iron are technically alloys, because of the coal). They could make something like a mithril/rune alloy that is lighter and stronger than its equivalent rune weapons, but requires a special furnace and anvil to smith because of its strength. And, like the blast furnace, requires a fee unless you have a particular smithing level.
  5. ive heard you can forgo pray pots if you bring noted food and some money to un-note in general store Never actually trained there, though
  6. I already said, i have a better grasp on it now, and i thought i stated my questions well enough. If not, I am currently working to increase my fletching level, and I needed to understand this so I could at least turn a relatively worthless item (maple longbows (u)) into a possible source of profit. Does that help you? And thank you everybody else for your help.
  7. yes actually i think i get it now, thank you. i will be most likely trying to unload a lot of junk, perhaps i will ask around to get an idea of the sucess rates of selling off junk.
  8. hmmm well then what about selling it? would ppl buy at min ge (or maybe slightly less) price on forums?
  9. ok, well then, is it feasible to buy something (of actual value) with nothing but junk and/or sell junk to other players?
  10. While i understand what "junk items" are, and they are used to balance trades with high street-value items, who does this process actually benefit, the buyer or the seller of the item? Is junk used as an alternate currency to some degree as well? And would be using junk an effective way to buy an item such as a SS (my current goal item). If anyone can explain i would much appreciate it. Thank you in advance! :
  11. i have to say i like it. You have my support :D
  12. probably just a mess up on jagex's part. Maybe a new wildy ditch? :P
  13. This has been a problem since after Halloween, but I figured it would go away by itself. However, it has not. At the login screen, the animated background is the same (i.e. draynor is not decorated, etc) but the halloween music plays. I think it might be a problem with my computer, but I can't be sure. Any suggestions? Has this happened to anybody else?
  14. I'll admit it does sound a *teensy* bit tinny sometimes, but i thought that was just my strings. My last two sets of strings haven't been too great. :?
  15. Its not a tube, but the Line 6 Spider 3 (my amp) has a really nice tone, built in effects and distortion, and can get hella loud for only being 15 watts. I've seen them for about $100.
  16. very nice ^^ if you could do a youtube vid when you get the amp of you playing it, that would be wicked. I'm still looking for some advice on strings, in fact I'm sitting down to do a x-mas list right now :P
  17. I'm currently looking for some strings to put on my x-mas list, both for my acoustic and electric. On my acoustic, I already know what type of string i want, I just would like a reccomended gauge, because i need to balance tone with stretchability. To be exact, the tuning I need is DADAAD. As for my electric, I'm looking for something that doesn't have a horrible sound on clean, but doesnt sound muddy on distortion.
  18. I think i know what you mean by that "compressed" sound. My friend, who's dad had a band back in his day, has a vintage jazz bass. We both hate it. It has a single neck pickup, no tone knob, and an amp that has absolutely no bite. Anyways, as for advice for selecting a bass, I'd reccomend going to your local shop, and just trying out all the different basses on several amps until you find one in your price range you like. But! before you buy, do a bunch of research. www.MusiciansFriend.com is really good if you find a good instrument but you need to knock a bit off of the price. Wookiemania: I love your guitar, what model is it?
  19. I'm no Pker, but... "All's fair in love and War." When i tried to pk, back in ye olden days, i would get slaughtered, and yet I don't once remember blaming the other person.
  20. interesting article...that will definitely help me! the whole series looks useful, im going to start looking at them.
  21. a small mixing board and Audacity (a free program, by the way) will work wonders. simpy search "audacity" on google and you should get a site with the download. we used that setup in a podcasting class i took, and as long as you have it set up right, it sounds great. What kind of music will you be recording?
  22. Hmmm...An interesting article. I do agree, skillers have decreased quite drastically. You never see the non-autoer level 3 skillers anymore, because of the emphasis placed on combat. However, with the re-introduction of PVP, I believe that many skills will become profitable and popular again. Herblore: Super sets, prayer potions, etc., will become more desirous for PVP'ers. Fletching: Bolts will become a neccesity for rangers, increasing demand. Runecrafting: Combat runes (of course), and spells such as Vengance will be useful for profit. This is but a small sample of how i think skills will become more profitable (or at least less expensive to train). Just my 2 cents :
  23. *bump* c'mon people, you can talk about anything guitar related in here. Give tips, ask questions, drool over gear, tell about your last jam session or gig, whatever!
  24. i have a question about string styles. I've heard mixed reports on the thickness of strings. One person says the thicker the string, the brighter the tone, and another says the thinner, the brighter. -.- How does string thickness affect the tone? And, if anyone can reccomend some good acoustic strings, feel free. I'm currently looking at Earthwood strings, but i'm not sure on the gauge i should get (hence the question). Thanks!
