Angry kid+abandonment issues usually lead to something of this nature. Even though I would like to blame the parent, I can't. I'm just gonna bring up Earthbound for the sake of saying that not every game ends up on the virtual console. While at the same time stating that if you can acquire an NES or SNES, go for it. You can probably find one relatively cheap, and not all old game cost an arm and a leg. Especially most mario games.
