Hmmm...Try something like this maybe? These are what someone has done on another forum I use: There is probably heaps you could do, maybe try smudging something? You are the judge on what to do.

I'm not a Pixel Artist, but I would suggest looking on deviantART, they have heaps of Tutorials there. Just search "Pixel Tut".

Usually it pays to do some research on the game and try it before forking out the cash for it...

I'd do the same as you. Doing that would have been a huge task, and would have taken a skilled Digipainter that had been doing it for a few years.

I would suggest that you go to GIMP. It would be more versatile for doing things like this, and you have WAY more options to choose from. MS Paint is like a zit once you chance programs.
