  1. More random events aren't going to kill botting. 10 years of Runescape has shown this.
  2. Well you can invest, if you look at the G.E. you can see back several weeks to see price fluctuation. So if for example for most days if big bones are 650 gold and one day its 590, buying them will generally be a wise decision. But for the flipping I do all you want to do is put an outrageous buy price. So for say lobsters put 150 gold for one lobster and you'll get back like say 49 gold. So the sell price is 101. Then sell that lobster for like 70 gold and you'll get like 98 gold for it. You then would buy 20k lobsters for 98 and put them back up for 101 after you buy it. Or what I like to do is buy 19,999 of lobsters so I can check the price again after I bought it, sometimes you may buy for say 98 but then the sell price jumps to 104 or something, increasing your profit margin. On youtube search for rune plate flipping, it should be a 8 or so minute video that shows the basics. There are some decent guides on google as well. A good tip is basically look for an item that you can buy a large amount of that is in high demand so the only issue you'll have is too low of a buy price or too high of a sell price. Not that there isn't enough in the market.
  3. Fourside, give him the quest cape challenge and make him finish it by like May 1st. Now that'd be a challenge. :shades:
  4. Also flipping is completely defendant on your money you can invest. 10 gold per flip but only 1.5k of that item is 15k per flip. Where as say 1g per flip but 25k of that item is 25k profit. A good example would be water runes, the cap you can buy in 4 hours is 25k and its generally a 1 gold profit margin.
  5. Well you lose out on the ability to ecto/sell the ashes but in return you gain prayer experience while slaying, prayer experience that you don't have to think about. And from what I can gather stocking up on ashes to sell or ecto means you need 96 summoning, which I'm sure quite a few people do not have. Seems like a plus to me to bring a prayer urn if you are < 96 summoning, you get more experience and don't even have to slow down at all as some people mentioned earlier. Not to mention two weeks ago you didn't even have the option to get prayer off of abbysal demons. /morerandommusings
  6. Eh you have to combine flipping with other activities. Moving watching, homework, reading a book, browsing tip.it, planning out your next move in-game, ect. You don't flip and just "stare" at the screen for three hours, it's like watching your money play whack a mole, not entirely exciting.(Well it can be because money out of nowhere is fun money)
  7. This happens everywhere. I don't have any exciting stories because I'm just f2p but good example is hill giants. People leave big bones, I mean isn't the only reason you go to Hill Giants either to train prayer with combat or bank the drops for some quick money? They also leave limps, another decently prized item. At Moss Giants if other people are there they leave the mith swords, big bones, black half shields, basically everything. And I can most often get these people to talk so it isn't like they are botting. Cow Hides are about the only thing picked up off of cows, at low cooking levels the meat is good free exp and the bones are still exp, but no, people would rather sit around trying to act cool then get there stats up. Oh and everywhere I go people do not pick up rune drops. I have 200 law runes in my bank, and I haven't bought a single one, and only picked about half of those off of my own kills. /randomthoughtsonpeoplenotpickingupanythinguseful
  8. Well ya should be using gmail anyways, best free e-mail service out there. My youtube/gmail is linked but I never had to text to get it set up, chances are likely that the example above occurred, someone tried to get into your youtube account. Just having anything related runescape seems to be a pass to have some weirdo out there trying to get access to your [cabbage].
  9. If you can't see a reason then that simply means you're thinking differently then those who do use pures. Level 3 skillers aren't simply about "putting on a handicap". Generally speaking combat level is one of the few ways people can judge you almost immediately, and a level 3 with a phat and trimmed runecrafting(or untrimmed to show how much you love rc'ing) cape is one of the highest prestiges this game could probably give out. They simply choose to not focus on combat put use the other skills. Now combat pures are amazing things. See combat level is decided by several things. If you have 70 att/str like 1 or 2 defense would give you a combat level but 65 mage/range levels simply boost your constituion by several levels without raising combat.(Aside from combat gained by the cons in it self) So a level 60 with 70att/60str/65cons and like 60range/mage would have around 60 combat. Right now at 63 combat I am under all of those stats except defense which is at 50 and prayer which is at 41. Now the prayer may give me an edge but the defense won't help when I'm only hitting 110 and my opponent is hitting 200-250. Combat pures are to put it simply about pushing out the most damage while maintaining the lowest possible combat level. Especially useful in staking as the advantage you have can push you to beat even levels 15-20 over you if they are "balanced" and maybe slightly new to staking.
  10. Flipping *does* work. In F2P I went from 400k gold from tasks and cow hide farming to my current 4.5m with doubles of everything in my bank. Just learn how to flip and find out items that work well for you.
  11. Bwah, I read through your blog yesterday but completely forgot to post. So here I am. :) I added you btw, good luck with thoest goals.
  12. Wildwyrm is a significant waste of time if it's biggest bonus is a [bleep]ing shark and prayer protect. I mean maybe if it dropped like 100-1000 fish on death that might be worth the risk, but 1 fish? >.>
  13. Thanks guys, its funny you say I'm progressing well, I say I'm not progressing fast enough. Now as to the blog I need to find a more efficient way to update the blog as if I want to update it it takes a good half hour between picture editing and uploading as well as moving text and what not around. Definitely puts me off updating. At the very least I'll put new pictures up when possible. Next update I am planning on is probably on the 27th to coincide with one month from when I started this blog.
  14. To answer a question I saw above the limit is still there, like I can only buy 20k fish and not a single more. But as soon as I say sell 5k of them I can immediately buy another 5k to go from 15k to 20k fish again. Another example is you buy 100 rune plates(Not sure if this is the limit but we'll say it is) and sell 50, you can immediately buy another 50 but no more. On topic - What are you doing, staking?
  15. So I'm seeing one of two things. Rose-Tinted glasses & Typical responses so the forum thinks your "cool". If you want to state that 2006 is better then today's game then give some reasons, otherwise you might as well post +1 and call it a day.
  16. I played off and on repeatedly from like '04-'07(or later late '06) and I just came back short of a month ago. And let me tell you I've been having a blast, this game is still as much fun as it was then, your interest is still not there more likely.
  17. New bank picture and stat picture, I have work in less then a minute so I'll finish updating at a later time. Enjoy the new pictures though, I'm proud of them. :shades:
