  1. Wait, smithing update? Will they finally fix the messed up allotment of smithing rewards?(Aka rune still requiring 90+ freaking smithing to make)
  2. Newb - A new inexperienced player. For example Jimmy has ten hours in Runescape, he is a newb. Noob - A player who should have experience but is a dolt. For Example Rhonda has played Runescape for 250 hours but can be found flirting and begging. Generally speaking noob in terms of real life is like calling someone an idiot in real life. Edit - No-Lifer is a term that people use to try and get under your skin. Like using the word nerd back in 1970.
  3. On the subject of ER(4) is it even worth it? I mean an extra run charge is cool and all but is that really all the benefit it offers with an insanely higher skill requirement?
  4. there are ... *ahem* better ways to level crafting in F2P while gaining buttloads of money. My only hint is 8. Also avoid the wool, it decreases your value. That is all.
  5. I've been using the G.E. for the past hour or two and have had no issues. But maybe that's just me ...
  6. Powermining leaves me with 26 empty spots. I fill those spots up with urns and for every 50 ores I'm getting an extra 9.28 ores worth of experience I wasn't getting last week. To me that's just looking a gift horse in the mouth. This update is neat and we still don't have all the exact values. Someone in another thread calculated that willows give 1.33% per log and that it increased experience gains by 16%. In F2P where we don't have amazing options for experience gains 16% increase is pretty nice. It would cut the time to get a 99 by at least a day or two. Also getting the urns is easy, barbarian village has everything you need. Explorer's ring(3) cabbage port, walk north maybe 50 paces, mine clay, make into soft clay at well, then the kiln and pottery wheel are right there. Then Edgeville bank is another 30 seconds away if you plan on stocking up.
  7. Heh, nice, now that push to 2k total should be fun.
  8. Explorer's Ring (3) will allow a free teleport to just below the clay rocks at barbarian village, then after that it'd be a short walk back to Port Sarim.
  9. Sounds like a great way to kill time.
  10. So lesser demons are the equivalent of hill giants in terms of prayer experience with an urn?
  11. Seems I should of been more careful with my calculations. Anyway nice to see it's better then what I had stated.
  12. Some info I found: The level cap is for the items you are procuring, not your actual skill level. My account is F2P so the highest access I have is the 3rd tier urns. The 40 mining urn works with gold, iron, tin, copper, basically any ore below level 40. I don't have the mining level required for anything higher then that in F2P but I'm going to assume mithril and above will not work with F2P urns. Willows give 1% in the 3rd tier woodcutting urn per willow log. Iron ore gives 2% per ore. Power mining iron really benefits from urns as your inventory won't have more then 2-4 ores in it at a time you can carry 24-26 urns depending on how many ores you want to pick up before dropping. So for every 50 ores you get another "free" 9.28 ores worth of experience.
  13. Heh I sort of half watched/listened to the first one. I'll come back and take a better look when I have time tomorrow, definitely excited to see some video blogs.
  14. Date - 02/14/11 Happy Valentines day! I guess, not my sort of holiday but there are other reasons for that. Anyway onto the gaming, today was spent doing various crazy things. More crafting levels gained, as well as mucho money. Once I finish off these last couple of crafting levels I'll have more money then in that image even though I picked up 2k chaos runes as well as several quest items. Which brings me to mentioning that I have completed all but 3 of the F2P quests. Dragon Slayer, the Escape quest whose title slips my mind at the moment, and Shield of Arrav whom I'll need another sap to help me with. The first two will be done sometime in the 'morrow and the Shield will be done whenever I can find said sap. I also finished off all the skills needed to get Explorer Ring(3) so I'll be rounding up necessary requirements for that tomorrow. Then it's runecrafting to 38 and probably around 4-6k water runes crafted. Which should put me over 40 runecrafting. Damn success feels great! --------- Enjoy this monday guys!
  15. Thanks. :) Pretty proud of 500 skill total, not sure if I can get much farther. :shades: Anyway sarcasm aside I hope everyone who stops by will take a peak at the new pictures and entry, comparing them to my first pictures/entries I'm definitely moving up in the world. Anyway other then that I figure it's worth mentioning my blog has been backed up to today's latest edit so if any forum misfortunes beget me the blog will be more fortunate. Might also start editing in my word processor, it's a lot easier to see text and what not in there.
  16. Depending on if you want experience or money you can do several things. Willows at Draynor make for easy banking, but with the price of willows at such an obscenely low price I would avoid it for money. I would go to one of the several spots around Gielinor looking for a couple willow trees by themselves then just burn them for fire making experience. I am at 58 fishing right now and get a full load of salmon/trout takes about 40-80 seconds to obtain. My experience is definitely reduced because I cook it as well but I gain something like 50-80k experience split between fishing/cooking in an hour. I also no longer burn salmon or trout at 60 cooking. Mining ores for crafting/Smithing can also be a nice goal but definitely tedious, especially as good mining spots will generally have someone there in F2P. Hope my insights are what you were looking for.
  17. Heh, if you ever pick up combat you'll be tricked out at every level possible.
