For any of you not aware, this altar produces random runes, the type of runes produced is not limited (but is affected) by your rune crafting level. This altar cannot ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâmulti craft̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ runes that would normally be multi-crafted at their regular altar. Naturally there are people who are upset (or outraged) that we did not get a blood or soul altar. The new altar can produce these runes, but not reliably or in useful amounts. I can say I personally don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t mind, maybe my very low rune crafting level has something to do with that (or everything to do with that). But even if I were a candidate to be able to use a newly released blood alter, I think we can safely assume that it would be located in some remote place that is nowhere near anything. Of course the use of the abyss and some glory amulets could offset this inconvenience. What the new Ourania altar is good for is experience. Most rune crafters make tons of nature runes via the abyss, which is very good for your wallet, but bad news for your experience an hour. The Ourania altar, without the use of any teleportation offers far more efficient training. Now if you were to use the abyss to craft a higher level of rune, such as death, you could close the experience gap, but the Ourania altar would likely still come out on top. Unfortunately there is no data that I am aware of that would tell me what the experience an hour running deaths trough the abyss is. And the Ourania is hard to compare as it gives variable experience depending on the runes crafted. I base my assumption on the fact that the experience produced by crafting runes goes up only .5 exp for each progressively harder rune. This update also advances the Fremennik/Moonclan storyline nicely, and this should be much appreciated by those interested in RS folklore and history (people such as myself). There has also been an addition to the Moonclan spell book, a teleport (and group teleport) that brings you close to the entrance of the Ourania altar cave. Now when I said that the Ourania produces runes in a way that is not limited, but affected by your rune crafting level, I meant that a level 1 rune crafter can produce a soul rune, but a level 99 rune crafter will produce soul runes far more often. This means that as your level increases, you should gain more experience an hour as you will produce more high level runes. Now the cost of 20 runes (of the same type) to access the nearby bank is interesting. Of course it would be ridicules to have a bank so close to a fast experience source without some kind of catch. This will require people to either buy some type of rune from other players or shops, or force them to do some regular rune crafting to amass enough of one type of rune to gain repeated access to the Ourania bank. This also functions to remove superfluous runes from the game, helping to preserve their value in the player market. More recently we have had a server update which did not appear on the main page. This was announced in the ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Årecent updates̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
