We have a load of well thought out ideas based on player suggestions, but many people who make their living by buying and selling commodities are worried. Let̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s start off with an update that has already been released, the Assist system. This could either be something that really is based on suggestions and designed to make our lives easier, or part of the continuing campaign to eliminate scammers by protecting people from their own stupidity. I think it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a bit of both. I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m not here to explain how it works, but the point is that this system allows things to be done that were never possible in the past (like construction assist which now exceeds flat packs capability). It also makes things that were already done such as free gem cutting, easier and safer. I think for once they have actually managed to make the game safer without placing some inconvenience in the game, this addition actually helps. Next up is smith-x. The only people who really have a good reason to complain are people who already have 99 or close to it in that skill. It will now be a little easier to level; though the change shouldn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be too drastic so I think even the 99 smithers can keep fairly quiet about this. The long foretold exp to next level is finally on the block to be added. We found out this was coming a long time ago thanks to a difference between the German knowledge base and the English one where the German version showed this feature already in place. If anyone complains about this I have only 2 questions: 1) what are you smoking? 2) Can I have some? The updates to the Dual Arena should be interesting. I will trust Jagex knows what they̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re doing as the Dual Arena is not really my thing. Tournaments sound like fun, but I would suggest you get into them quickly as once popularity for them drops, arranging a large tournament could be quite tedious. And now the new feature that has merchanters either ranting, holding their breath, or peeing their pants. The Grand exchange promises to make life so much easier for the buyers and a potential nightmare for people who use the different prices on different worlds to their advantage. Now getting something cheap will not involve the painful process of jumping worlds and praying you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re on at an hour when the deals are good. I personally am overjoyed, now I can sell the results of my skilling while I go train more and get more stuff to sell. What̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s losing 10 or 20 gold per item when I can create 150 ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 200 more items in the time it would have taken to sell? While many consider merchanting one of the great skills of the game, it really is not a skill in the eyes of Jagex. Think of this as a challenge, and might I suggest that long term investment might become a better option. And I haven̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t forgotten the quest. Many people are mad (to put it VERY lightly) about this. Everyone is clamouring for a Mourning Ends Part 3, or something else. I am sitting here just hoping to meet the requirements, seeing as a major Guthix story line truly interests me (if you didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t realize this is one of the God plots, you REALLY need to start paying more attention to dialogue). Quests take time, and it is a possibility that this was started before the summer. Just be happy you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re getting a quest. If you can̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be happy, perhaps you would consider crying me a river to my house so I can canoe to my front door? My parting words are just a request for you all to remember that Jagex really does care if you like their game or not. If you stop playing they lose money, so contrary to popular belief, they actually don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t make people mad on purpose. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Honest1 Productions Events Team are always recruiting. Please stop in and check us out, and be part of a commuity dedicated to fun. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Part Three: Abyssal Whip Decline by Master_Smither Most of us have noticed the recent drop in the Abyssal whip prices and if you have and are wondering why or haven̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t noticed, I am here to explain it. For about four months, Abyssal Whips have been stable at the 1,600,000GP area. But recently they have experienced a decline in prices by 200,000GP or so. Why you ask? There are several very important reasons for this. First of all the biggest 1 in price reduction, supply and demand. With the recent decline in Runescape activity due to school, college, and sports the amount of players going for 70 attack has decreased. Most of the people are involved in other activities and usually don't play every day and are slowed in their quest for 70 attack and the option to wield. With the demand lowered, the price falls. This is slightly reversed for the same reason in supply as there are less people getting whips, but the players that normally supply the whips are usually veteran players that try and find the time to play. Secondly, the Saradomin sword played a major role in the Whip̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s price drop. The Saradomin sword is a relatively new weapon that is as strong as the Whip. With the option to train strength and a stronger special attack it became popular overnight. With the new Godswords at 50M+ for the cheapest one and the whip at 1.5M and not having the ability train strength, the Saradomin Godsword became the beefed up Dragon Scimitar. With all these things going for it, the Godsword took another bite out of the Whip and its price. Lastly, Bone bolts. Surprised aren̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t you guys? Well, because of the new buy X option, and the unlimited shop stock, range has become a "hit". Due to the cheap cost and the decent damage dealt by the bone bolt, they have become the new magic short bow. It is slightly faster than the crossbow, but just a bit slower then the MSB. As a result, range experiences a boom of new players because of fast and cheap XP people begin to train it instead of melee. The amount of rangers quickly increases, while the amount of meleers decreases causing even less people to go for 70 attack or even uses a whip. This rolls over into the actual whip market as some people sold their whips to afford hundreds of thousands of bone bolts for ranging, they raises the supply. This goes to show that even a small update to an almost never used shop could change the economy of Runescape. Many more things come into consideration but these are the 3 biggest factors in the recent whip price decline. *The whip prices are accurate as the RSOF say they are. But the price reduction is approximated due to what I saw in the decrease on RSOF. So this is mainly Runescape forum based not World 2, 6, 9, etc... ~ Part Four: Blah! by Firsttsurugi Section 1: Words of Advice When training skills such as mining, either go to German worlds or very crowded worlds with activity. If you were in, say, world 2, then most likely everyone will be too busy merchanting instead of mining the respawn times are also significantly faster. The same goes for combat. Not only can nobody take your kills, but everything respawns much more quickly. When feeling down while playing, go to the more entertaining funny threads such as: Noobs Say the Funniest things or Post Thy Funny Forum Posts. You will feel better instantly. If you want to take stress off of the game, try typing little stories or making fan fictions for the Varrock Library or other sites. It̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s amazing how much better you feel after free writing (or in this case, typing) a couple paragraphs. Do your homework. If you spend too much of your time with other stuff, then, no doubt, your grades will plummet and those little obstacles we call parents are going to keep you and TIF as far away as possible. Do us all a favor and don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t type in a way that not even YOU can understand. I don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t care if you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re tired or just plain drunk, you are still going to look like an idiot. Section 2: You know you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re a noob if̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ You ask where you can get ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Ådragonite.̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
