If you get 99 flat in less than 2 weeks, you will. Good luck :P btw, i went to the desert treasure quest starting point and I couldn't start it. -
im in canifis...with 1prayer!!!!!!(new question added)
de_jean replied to mrmyk's topic in General Discussion
The priest in peril thing is required. Just click the quest in game and you'll see it. I would try to do it myself, but my thieving isn't high enough. I'm a noob. You couldn't get to canifis with agility shortcuts. Anyway, could someone with 1 prayer (and high enough thieving) try to do DT? And a question to you all: can you actually build the canifis tele portal when you can't do the spell in the first place? -

Belive me, they can, and some will. -
Look who's talking... Seriously, it's cool to blow off steam and all, but do you really have to spam up the forums with your story?
-
In your first post you say: "Are they worth the time and effort of creating these characters? What are the benefits of these pures in the wilderness?" Just trying to answer your question. What more do you need to know? It's up to you to decide if you want a def pure to survive in wildy, or some other pure to get kills. Simple right? I don't mean to be rude, but be more specific in your question when you're looking for specific information.
-
Defense pures are good for surviving and bad for getting kills. That's about it.

I don't think an entire game with those graphics can be supported in JAVA. At least that's what I've heard.
-
Ah... yet another reason to keep prayer at level 1.

Wine Of Zamorak Small Guide - Includes Range/Mage Safe Spot-

Same here, way back in the rsc days. Stupid three round system  -
I'd like to point out merchants will not only turn to the items you stated, but they would also try to take over the raw material market. If rares are taken away, the amount of cash that flows back into the game would be enormous.. Some merchanters would actually start investing money in their skills. Think about it, what is the point of merchanting when all you have is 1 bil cash? I don't see anyone buying 100 barrow sets... Actually, I don't see any experienced merchanter messing with dragon armour and barrows stuff, because their price can be changed by jagex with a single update. Maybe duke could enlighten us in this matter? The idea in itself is good though. IF Jagex ever takes away rares, this is the way to do it. But like duke just said, I don't see Jagex ever recognizing the value of rare items.

Ruining the only 30k+ xp training spot on f2p where no food is needed. Crandor level 22 skeletons with 27 hp are now level 25 skeletons with 17 hp. Meaning they hit up to 4 now, and get onehit. The spawn rate is too slow to be constantly fighting. Hourly xp went all the way down to under 20k xp an hour. And here I was, thinking they didn't update f2p >.<
-
Just take both. Do what I do, play rs on f2p when you can. And when parents say you're spending too much time on the computer, switch to ps2/ xbox. easy

LEESTERS BARROWS GUIDE - edit 12 Jul 2006 (AOW discussion)
de_jean replied to Leesters's topic in General Guides
Sheeeesh. Barrows with NO prayer.. hmm.. You would need lots of food. And you would have to learn the safe spots and the side step spots or Verac and Dharok will kill you for sure. The ranger too. Yeah, you could do it. You would have to be very disciplined, though. :) Hope I won't get lag... I'll let you know how it turns out, thanks for helping. -
LEESTERS BARROWS GUIDE - edit 12 Jul 2006 (AOW discussion)
de_jean replied to Leesters's topic in General Guides
Here's an interesting question for you, leesters: I'm planning on getting 90+ attack, 80 strength and 90 defense. However, I have absolutely NO prayer at all. It's level 1. Do you think barrows would be something I could do once I get p2p? Without any protection prayer, I'm guessing high mage and/or range would be needed. Care to help me out? -
Nah, I'm pretty sure it was a 3... I was close, but as I stated in my entry, I didn't really deserve it :P Congratz sake on winning and thanks qwerty for hosting this contest!
-
 I don't deserve the 10 mil, but I can try anyway. I might get lucky for once. I was browsing tip.it when I stumbled across this topic and I thought, why not? The least I could do was just enter the contest. And as the winner is selected randomly, I might get lucky :P. I would safely store the 10 mil in my bank for when I get members in february. With the saved up money I woul buy an abby whip and full dharok to help me fullfill my quest to 99 80 99 99 with 1 prayer. I think I would own the staking arena quite a bit, and I would be able to give you back the 10 mil, or even to host my own contest like this and make someone else happy. I would feel obliged to do so. Ok that's it i think I have 90 words, Just make the right choice lol :o

 :P

Well, yes and no. When you stake another the player, one guy is a winner. However, if you play blackjack at a casino, it's the casino that comes out the winner, every time. Sure, a person may come out ahead on some nights, but the casino itself comes out on top every night. Remember,iIf you have a million dollars and bet 10 bucks a pop on any casino game, you will eventually lose it all. My point is that it's possible to wisely stake other players and make profit. There's no "wise" way to gamble, since you'll always lose eventually. lpinkus You have a very good point there, Ipinkus. But I was solely talking about the already implemented games. Who wins entirely depends on skill, so if you're good you won't 'eventually lose it all'. Point taken. I didn't think of that
-
Yup. I already made a post to that effect on another topic. Seems harmless, but people do get addicted to gambling, just like tobacco/alcohol/drugs. lpinkus It seems to me people also can get addicted to staking... Isn't it some form of 'gambling' too? Implementing some way of making money off other players in the game room would make it more crowded, so i think that is a good idea. But card games? You can play those on the internet, and i can't see how jagex would make cards more 'runescapy', like they did with the other games.
-
thanks a lot! It's working perfectly. I can play runescape again woot! :o
-
I'm taking the time to write this short rant because I am currently unable to play runescape. Why you ask? Some add makes it impossible to log in, even on the low game type. It's not the first time and i'm getting a bit sick of it. With most of the adds you can just right click on them and make them stop playing and/or put them on low quality. This particularly nasty little fellahowever cannot be eliminated this way. Does anyone have an idea on how i could make that add disappear? And no, I'm not getting p2p just to make an add go away.
-
I use it on hp. But that's because i'm f2p and don't train prayer or rc.
