I quit runescape about four years ago. What took you so long? :P Just spent most of the day rocking some Starcraft II. Finally broke into Platinum 1v1 as Terran. Well I "quit" many times but I always came back for a few months then took breaks for a few months. I'm just done with it now.

Can't wait till class on Tuesday, i want to meet some people. I've met a few people in my building but unfortunately my floor is a bit quiet. Cute shy girl next door, but I've only seen her like twice. And at the school events I've met some people but they aren't exactly my type of people to hang around. Hopefully I'll make some good friends in class :) Oh, and also, I cancelled my Xbox Live Gold, cancelled my Runescape membership and I'm quitting, and I'm limiting myself to one soda a day max. Cutting off the superfluous spending.

it's the new hip thing to pretend to like. Give it a few months and it'll be a thing of the past.

I say lunch just because it's my breakfast. I don't eat breakfast. I also generally dislike most "breakfast foods."

This. I've tried a few beers and hated them, then I tried some girly sour apple smirnoff stuff my mom bought, and that stuff tasted fantastic.

That's mostly because playing in 4/4 becomes more boring/mundane the more talented you become Though bands that play technical for the sake of being technical can be boring to listen to. Though I can't say anything about specific time signatures, it ends up sounding like the band is trying to show off in the middle of an otherwise good song. For a Dream Theater example, I love the song "Ministry of Lost Souls", but the solo sounds like they just threw it in because there wasn't anywhere else to put it. A solo or instrumental section like the one in 'Hollow Years" or "Learning to Live" would have probably suited the song better. My problem with Dream Theater, especially later DT (Systematic Chaos and BC&SL era) is that it seems like nearly every songs has a guitar solo and keyboard solo, or a solo battle, and for no real purpose other than to have it there. We get it, you can play your instruments.

And this, boys and girls, is why I gained 40 lbs in my first year of university. I have lost it all, but I still have physical side effects from all that weight gained in such a short time. Unlimited 'free' meals + tasty options + mass produced food = freshman 15 without even noticing it. Speaking of school, I'm headed back to school in a couple weeks and I need meal ideas. Last year I lived on noodles, meat and sauce and I need some more ideas as to what to make. The ingredients that I always have on hand are; Ground beef Beef tenderloin (usually make a few 'steaks', some beef chunks for stew etc, and a roast) Chicken breasts Pork tenderloin (same as beef tenderloin as for what I make of it) Pasta of all sorts Rice A potatoe or two I'm open to buying some ingredients, but I am a student so money is tight. Oh, and I also have a cheap spice rack with ~20 of the basic spices. Thanks Yeah, I'm worried about putting on weight, so I may actually get a membership to the school gym. But I'm going to try just getting out and being active daily, walking around the city first.

I'm hundreds of miles from home and today I ran into 3 people at school that I know. Two girls from freshman year and 1 guy I went to elementary school with. Small world, I guess.

If you're also a fan of Power metal, Blind Guardian's newer stuff, especially their latest release, could be considered progressive metal. One of my favorite prog bands is Pain of Salvation, and I'd also recommend checking out Riverside, Adagio, and Spheric Universe Experience.

OHMYGOD. The food here on campus is amazing. Just had my first dinner here. There's 3 places that accept the meal plan, a main dining hall which is like a buffet, with an option for asian food, and changes up its menu between times of the night for people's preferences. Then there's an Italian place and a Mexican place which aren't all you can eat, but it's quality food with fountain drinks/unlimited refills. And it feels like it's free since it's on my meal plan

Hehe, rubbers. Ohh, America. Though, this does remind of something a little more on topic. Freshman year in my geography class, a kid brought a condom into class and stretched it over his head. He got it down to his nose, and then blew it up. LOOOOOOOOOOL, my brother did that once too, but that was years and years ago, Sophomore year, some kid filled one with lotion and hung it up on the teacher's board. She swatted it down with a ruler, and for WHATEVER REASON, proceeded to squish it and ooze all the lotion out..

haha, reminds me of before YGOTCG came out, me and my buddy made our own cards...and tried to play by the rules of the TV show, which there seemingly were none [seriously, facedown defense position? lolwut] Facedown defense was a thing though, it's called setting a card IIRC.

Hey, I met my roommate! He's this asian dude, kinda shy and a bit awkward. I guess he lives nearby and will be going home a lot, so he'll only be in the dorm room like 4 days a week, going home on weekends. We also have an alternating class schedule, so he'll be in class while I'm not, etc. Basically, I have this room mainly to myself.

Yeah, I disliked the need for staples for every single deck when I played.

Still no sign of the roommate. Going to check out the city with my family today, should be pretty cool.

Just found out my ex has a tumblr, so I checked it out. It's full of Reddit comics/memes and "le". I can't help but feel even more relieved.
