  1. Tennesseean Endorses Romney The Tennesseean traditionally endorses Democratic candidates, and is considered to be a left-leaning newspaper.

  3. Last time I checked, it was damned near impossible to filter eBay search results to show only non-PayPal sellers. The true merchants will have other means to accept credit / debit cards but Joe Public is stuck with PayPal. Which is why I do my shopping on Amazon. :P
  4. All either had to do was avoid performing a Stockdale Manouver. Neither did. In the end, people will vote for the top name on the ticket. However...

  6. re: Your Money IS Your Loyalty I believe Jagex does realize that they can’t keep pleasing the vets and attract meaningful amounts of new players who want to start from scratch. Eventually, the tipping point will be reached where it makes no financial sense to cater to these vets or lure wayward old-timers back to the game. At that point, the reboot of RuneScape can commence in earnest. Lest any of you/us get our feelings hurt, IVP didn’t just invest in the game, they invested in the brand. RuneScape is whatever they define it to be, sentimental vets be damned.
  7. Yep, but the country is so polarized it will make little difference. Also, some people have already voted early. I question the wisdom of holding the debates after the polls have opened for voting. But it is what it is.

  9. It’s only been 3 years since the DTV transition in the US... http://en.wikipedia....e_United_States You have let the satellite and cable providers brainwash you; there is indeed over-the-air terrestrial television in the US, Canada and Mexico. You could buy an antenna, or you could even build your own: http://www.digitalho...enna/design.htm http://www.jedsoft.o...tv/gapless.html http://uhfhdtvantenna.blogspot.com/ For most people, it will be easier to buy one.

  11. There’s no need to go all the way back to 2006. Just go back to the day before Dung and you will have RuneScape at its apex. That was RuneScape, and what you guys have today ’tis but a knock-off with fancier dress-up costumes and gaudy gimmicks. I am sure some might want to play it for nostalgic reasons... but there is nothing that is going to bring older players back short of erasing what has been foisted upon us for the past few years. And we all know Jagex is too proud to admit their mistakes - they’d rather just keep slapping new coats of paint over the cracked walls and pretending the house is in no danger of collapsing. Current players might get a kick out of seeing RS 2006, but would it bring older players back? Hell to the no. That ship has sailed.
  12. I agree; he was just making an expository comment. It’s no secret that the Democratic constituency skews towards the lower-income members of American society. It’s not as if Romney were uttering some heretofore hidden truth. I also think the remarks will both (1) have little effect on the undecideds and (2) be largely forgotten in November. Looks like whoever wins will be dealing with Republican majorities in both chambers: http://www.electionp...president12.php

  23. Make it go to the country that wins the most medals per person in the country, then it will never go to 'merica. Both these suggestions are right on par with letting the results of the MLB All-Star Game determine home field advantage for the World Series. Let the mockery ensue. The host nation gets its athletes automatically qualified for events. It’s sort of payback from the IOC for spending the money required to host. Why? Because the Olympics are hella expensive to stage. I doubt any country would ever want to permanently host them, and I doubt the others would stand for the host being permanently qualified olympiad after olympiad after olympiad.
