ColonialMarine supports this great suggestion, it will make Runescape THAT much more enjoyable. If only some Jagex mod would take a look at this and bring it to the attention of the Content Development Team :roll:

I support this idea, it would be a great time-saver and in-game facility. It would perhaps encourage more professional play, by making us calculate xp per hour to maximize our speed of levelling. Make an "I support *this idea*" url that we can copy+paste into our sigs.

A new, potentially deadly event that includes code recognition, with images that have warped letters and numbers. A team of 3 Jagex NPC enforcers, representing the Combat Triangle of Runescape, united against bots (mage, warrior and archer), teleport near players, entangle and (for the length of the event) teleblock and skull them and force them to answer 1 question within 10 seconds: to recognize a certain series of warped, coloured letters and numbers. If they do not answer correctly within the alloted time, shown on a nearby timer, they are killed. No discussion. To avoid killing innocent players who have left their computer for a bathroom break or whatever, and do not log off, you institute an "event alarm", meaning that this event will occur within the next 5 seconds. Whomever logs out during the event or upon hearing the event alarm, will have the event automatically occur whenever they log in next time. This event will have to occur MUCH MUCH more frequently than any other random, on a scale of up to once for every 2 minutes of play for level 3's, and lower and lower as you go up in combat level. This is GUARRANTEED to annoy lower lvl players, skillers and the like, but it will ALSO annoy the bots greatly, perhaps to the extent that AFK botting will no longer become worth it, this will cut into their profits by having to hire human gold farmers to supervise the bots, and will make lower lvls level combat up to the point where they don't get bothered by it so much. It will also annoy skiller gold farmers by having to spend time to level combat. All combat will be interrupted by such a event, and teleport you to an interrogation chamber, where the rest of the event occurs. All items lost to death like this will be redistributed into Runescape via monster/treasure chest item drops, including holiday items; the more valuable the item, the higher the lvl of monster will have it as a drop, which will also bring back a little element of mystery regarding monster drops. They could also include mining/woodcutting/fishing spot Guardians(high druids, greater elementals etc) - very high lvl, potentially deadly NPC's that guard skilling sites, and behave itentically to the Jagex NPC SWAT team trio in restraining and questioning players when they want to acces mining/fishing spots, spots with spawns of monsters with desirable drops or groves of valuable trees, - willows and up. They will make the area unaccessible unless you talk to them and answer their question correctly. This might annoy people GREATLY, but to me, it is a very small price to pay in order to keep Runescape bot-free. Also kudos on the bot-buster mod teams. They should have Bot-Buster in their mod names, to differentiate them from normal mods. I also reccomend that those of you who have membership grab these ideas and repost them in the suggestions forum of the member's area of the site. You have my permission to post, modify and elaborate upon my idea as long as you mention me as the primary source.

The new bird and mugger graphics update sucks donkey dong They shoulda done a muuuuch bigger one, with new banking system, official clan system, clan chat channel and auction houses -.- Oh and Jagex? Look at all the weapons you're splurging into the game. Do you think a player would even USE Karil's Crossbow now that you've made rune crossbows so good? You think ANYONE is gonna use the Shadow Sword? It's barely as good as a black 2-hander, the ancient mace ditto. Too many different weapons that blow, give them at least rune quality, make Karil's Crossbow very fast to compensate for lower range bonus, give the crystal bow a special attack to compensate for lower bonus, give full Torag's, full Karil's and full Ahrim's specials that are actually USEFUL. Draining agility/run energy/strength once in a while? PUH-LEEEZE -.- And then we'll start whining about something eeeelse... But that is the cycle of gaming, just listen to the players and use their suggestions, play-test it, release it, debug/rebalance it, rinse, repeat...

DEFINITELY purple. I lvled to 55 mage using curse, while I was talking to the random ppl that were walking around varrock castle. I started runecrafting and Rune Mysteries on a lark, cause a friend wanted to do it. Started fishing on a lark cause a friend did it, also woodcutting on a massive scale, gained from 30 something mining to 47 something mining via rune essence and iron :? Got 60 mining during a 5 1/2 hour long coal mining marathon in barbarian village, met a great friend there too 8-) I suffered thru making 600 odd iron bars sold them for 120k, was desperate -.- I leveled from lvl 38 to 40 odd in goblin village, made my first 1k there too =p Never had any full armor until lvl 56, back then my outfit was addy long, iron legs, iron full helm, mith chain, mith sq shield :lol: Got a suit of full mith from a nice memb, and made money for full rune almost only off of essence. So yyyyyeeeeaaaaahhhhh, my player colour's purple.

1) Seeing a low lvl dude drop a HUGE pile of money on the ground in Draynor in an empty area, see it appear, with heart thumping go over to pick it up but he getting it BACK JUST BECAUSE YOU WEREN'T ON RUN AND FAST ENOUGH TO CLICK >.< Arrrrrrrrrrrrghhh!!! He said it was 10 million :-X 2) Laughing on a crowded world at somebody in your player-stack gettin a sea troll and dying, and joking about that while fishing for lobs at Karamja, then DYING TO THAT VERY SAME TROLL and losing your very first rune scimmy, rune full helm, lobs, ticket money, dhide vambs and about 2k bronze arrows >.< Arrrrrrrrrghhhh!!! -.- Coulda taken that loser troll without prayer cause I had lotsa cooked lobs with me atm -.-

Don't wanna give us the pretty for-gods-only ( ) cape? Fine, give us the emote. We deserve AT LEAST *that* for trudging trough F2P's god-awful slow training. I say we take out the newb starships in orbit, before they ever get a chance to go dirtside and logon to Runescape. If you want prisoners for interrogation or dissection, send in the marines :twisted: Back on-topic: Yeah, why not? Maybe we'll revitalize the community with a truck-load of decent people we'll have coming in (I'd wish). Or like someone said before, get more teens to counteract the effects of annoying pre-teen Miniclip brats (curse them :shock: ). Who knows? Maybe the brighter future of Runescape we've all been daydreaming about is just around the corner.

IF they ever sell Runescape, PLEASEGODPLEASE let them not sell to SOE! The fat cats at SOE killed Star Wars Galaxies, the very first MMO I EVER played. The critical and massive patch called the Combat Upgrade (CU for short), was released 1 year too early, form then on, it just went downhill. After some time spent on the new version, i eventually quit.... :evil: #-o :boohoo: :shock: :cry: Any refugees from Star Wars Galaxies out there? How's the game doing these days? Or is it truly dead? I'm a fan of scifi, Runescape, fantasy, anime, martial arts and general internet mayhem.
