  1. <---- Sarcasm ------ (Your head)
  2. That is overwhelmingly true. It is foul, and that is the reason I avoid all 'diet' drinks like that.
  3. Haha. Perhaps you meant lactose intolerant. To lactate means to give forth milk, such as from a breast.
  4. I could be thought of as living in several places. Cumbria (Lake District) + Beautiful. + Friendly people. + Comparatively low crime. + Very bloody cheap car insurance. - Insular. Some people never leave the area they were born in. - Few shops. Have to go to a big city to buy things like clothes. - Lots of driving to get places, large distances between civilisations. - No culture. Manchester + Lots of shops. - CHAVS CHAVS CHAVS - SCALLIES SCALLIES SCALLIES - Lots of crime compared to Cumbria and, to a lesser extent, Leeds. - Still not much culture. - No nice countryside nearby. Leeds + The house is in a nice area. + Lots of shops, better for that than Manchester in my opinion. + Lots of culture. + Fewer chavs and scallies than in Manchester. + Countryside more accessible than in Manchester. - Still more chavs and scallies than in Cumbria. - Still more crime than in Cumbria. I'm probably going to choose Leeds as my base of operations.
  5. Let's examine our options: [*:19kde8zb]The sort of parent who doesn't mind their child suffering tooth decay [*:19kde8zb]The sort of parent who doesn't mind their child bouncing off the walls on caffeine (which has a more pronounced effect on young children, as do artificial colourings) [*:19kde8zb]The sort of parent who doesn't know better
  6. Making this topic about coke is like saying: "This just in! Smoking Malbro cigarettes can give you cancer! Stop smoking Malbro!"
  7. I hope people don't just ignore our replies and continue shouting about diet coke as though it's something unique to that drink, or like it is something new.
  8. FYI: Aspartame is used in almost all artificially sweetened food. I am astonished that you are making a fuss about it being in coke since it is used in EVERY 'diet' soft drink, almost all chewing gum, just about anything that advertises itself as being low calorie. Aspartame is nothing new. It has been used in food for well over a decade. I'm not saying it's good or okay, I'm saying that it is stupid to be making a fuss over one drink in particular, when it is used in all 'diet' soft drinks and pretty much anything that advertises itself as sugar free. It won't help unless you cut out all artificially sweetened food.
  9. That's more of a programming term. I think he's trying to fabricate a = with a line through it, as one would write in other circumstances like mathematics. != is also not the same for every language, since some use <>.
  10. You also don't specify what operating system you're using. XP has native zip support, where you just open it as though it's a directory and then copy & paste the file from within.
  11. Encode it to DivX. You'll need the DivX codec and a program called VirtualDub. Google for tutorials.
  12. Parabola replied to Futurama's topic in Off-Topic
When it comes to dreams, Crick & Mitchison say they are for clearing out 'parasitic thoughts', Jung says they're for developing underdeveloped parts of our personalities and Freud says they all mean you want to have carnal relations with a member of your family. Try typing in English and it might make sense in the future. Have you not got the hint yet? People don't appreciate the laziness displayed in your posts.
  13. I'm old enough to know better.
  14. How dare they use camouflaging techniques in a war situation!
  15. I think they should stay in off topic. I also disagree with there being more next-gen console topics as time goes on. Since they have been released, topics about them have been dying down.
  16. When I played (from about April 2005 to September 2005) I was on Draenor. My dad still plays on Draenor (with 4 level 60s :? ).
  17. Possibly not as helpful a reply as you'd want since I'm not in the USA, but if you can find this chair: ...in the USA it should be within your price range and it is very comfortable. I got it in the UK for around ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã145 delivered, and since in the USA it isn't a direct converstion of ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã to $ (i.e. something $400 there would likely cost ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã350 here) it should be within your price range. It's very big and very comfortable. It also has an adjustable height headrest.
  18. No, I just love fractals. I made that one myself, it's something I came across whilst experimenting.
  19. The short answer is no. Latency is largely dictated by your geographical position and your ISP. The latency will be being stacked on after the packets have left your house and are wending their way to the destination.
  20. Take a guess whether I like him or not. I can be lumped in with those Oy mentioned. Broad music tastes spanning not only decades but centuries.
  21. Warrior45, your example is balanced. You do not even have to believe that your example is justice for Saddam's execution to be considered justice. He killed many, many people and committed plenty of other atrocities, yet he is one man and he was killed only once. As has been said many times on this and the previous thread: he killed innocents; killing him is killing a guilty man. Thus, it is not stooping to his level.
  22. Deus Ex. The best part was the atmosphere. It was so immersive, it had a brilliant storyline - the likes of which I haven't seen since. The sound was really good too, I believe it won some award for the music. Another excellent feature was how you could do things in so many different ways - something which was sorely missing in its' terrible sequel.
  23. Users don't read stickies.
  24. I quite like it. I have used it when I have had a day to kill, I just set the world size to massive and the campaign length to epic. It is always a bit disappointing when you win a domination victory when you're not expecting it. Many times I've been setting off to conquer another foe when it takes me by surprise and spoils my fun.
