  1. No. I recently completed my OpenGL university module with no maths A level. All of the maths in it was very simple. What's more, the lecturer said he'd be happy to take any of us on as researchers too, so you can go places without A level maths.
  2. Hilariously overpriced though, for what it is. You could buy a leather recliner then pay someone to install that crap for you for less. As for the phone on it, has no one ever heard of a cordless phone?
  3. Are you able to try either that keyboard on another machine or another keyboard on that machine? Also, since this is more advanced a problem than your typical "omg i got haked, have i got a keylogger???" thread, I'd suggest you post on a more specialised forum - ocforums.com or forums.anandtech.com for example. There's a much higher chance of someone knowing how to fix it there.
  4. It was Hexen in which you could choose a character class.
  5. If that's true then he's both an idiot and an even bigger 'nerd' than you.
  6. Hmm, jumping on the trendy (in the 'nerd' community) bandwagon of being arbitrarily anti-microsoft and then boasting about it? Prime 'nerd' material.
  7. What the hell? This was moved from the wrong forum...into the wrong forum?
  8. I've had this before. I believe it was something to do with the keyboard buffer having problems. I don't remember how I fixed it I'm afraid, but perhaps googling for keyboard buffer would yield some results and at least set you off in the right direction.
  9. Methinks you might mean indulge (participate) as opposed to divulge (disclose). I like to melt chocolate in a bowl in a pan of boiling water, then add marshmallows and stir - then decant it when the marshmallows are only half-melted and allow to cool. Another fun thing is marshmallows toasted by a blowtorch.
  10. You'll struggle, since it's a real pain to get it running on XP. It is a really excellent game and I'm almost afraid to play it again in case it doesn't live up to my memories. I am looking forward to Bioshock, provided it isn't a half-arsed console port.
  11. Now now, some of us will. However, I only have fond memories of that era. Possibly because computers and games were so new and exciting to me. The first game I remember playing: Another of my favourite old games, particularly for the music: FEAR is nothing compared to System Shock 2, creepiness-wise - which I am adding to my list of greats.
  12. If by 'pixel wise' you mean no more than 450 horizontally & 175 vertically, and by 'area wise' you mean being allowed the same number of pixels as a 450x175 pixel image (78750) - with the latter, you could end up having an image which is 1 pixel wide and 78750 pixels tall. It would make no sense to have the rule based on area. It only makes sense for it to be maximum dimensions.

Can you provide anything to back that up? To me it seems like it is something made up by pirates. Along the lines of an urban legend, so they can feel what they are doing is legal. What's more, why would any legislation allow the piracy of something for 24 hours? Why aren't you allowed to download music for 24 hours? It goes against common sense.
  16. Best ever: Deus Ex HL2 Morrowind Space Quest series X3: Reunion Games I have deleted before playing 20 minutes of them: Scarface Reservoir Dogs The Godfather (noticing a pattern here?) Silent Hill 4 Insert any other half-arsed console port
  17. I've got one actually; it's just not my main system. It is... 766MHz Celeron 512MB PC133 2x 12GB hard drives FX5200 Running SUSE10

Cisco may lose the iPhone trademark in Europe, say trademark experts.
  19. We established that was sarcasm a while ago. In the future consider reading all the posts in the thread.
  20. I suppose you could have just gone to dictionary.com in the first place.
  21. Edited in whilst you were posting.
  22. They weren't acting on behalf of Britain, so they weren't a country. They were individuals. Just as the attacks on the World Trade Centre towers weren't sanctioned by the government of Afghanistan; they were carried out by individuals. Also, what about those who firebomb animal testing centres? That's not attacking a country.
  23. Cool, so because the people who set off the bombs in London in 2005 were British citizens it wasn't terrorism?
  24. It's called sardonicism. I am practicing it because the american government never shuts up about terrorism. ' '
  25. Yeah, why respect tradition or culture that impinges on the rights of others.
