It depends on your mining level - if you're high in mining, it's normal to get the ore fast - if you're low, and you get it instantly every time you do this, it is a bug, and you should report it to Jagex... EDIT: And yes, if it is a bug, and you're taking advantage of it, you can get banned.

I think it's a bug. If it can search through the database when reporting all other rules, why not this one? I'm sure a lot of macroers get banned, but as I pass some yew trees, they're still all over the place... And they're all logging out at some point, to change to world 1, Varrock to sell their logs or whatever they gained from cheating...

You guys won't believe this - A couple of days ago, I discovered a new bug. Turns out it's a massive bug, that actually may be the reason why so many macroers are free and un-banned. Listen up... We all know the situation: Some guy just tried to scam us, and we're about to report him. The guy is called something like "0 o 0 1 60". What do we do? Some of us add him, making his name viewable at all points, and the report him. Others try to guess his name, and luckily, our reliable reporting system will tell us that we have spelled the name wrong. We try again, and eventually we report him. But what if the system didn't do so? What if it just said "Thank-you, your abuse report has been received"? Then we'd all think we have reported the player, yet he gets away with NOTHING! Can you imagine that? Well, it's not very hard, since IT'S REALLY HAPPENING! Where's the bug? You may ask - well here it comes. Scammers have hard, confusing names, and so do macroers. When we report them, it's kinda the same things as reporting a scammer; hard to hit the actual name. "So? We'll try again" you may say. "No you will not, my fine friend, 'cause there's the bug!" It doesn't matter which name you type in, it will always say "Thank-you your abuse report has been received"! Every single time! "Example, please!" Well, here you go... As we all know, there's not really an account called Jagex, and if there was, you surely wouldn't be able to report it... Yet, I reported Jagex for macroing, and Jagex accepted my report. Weird? YEAH! "This picture is fake! You're a noob who wants attention!" you may think, or shout into the screen... True, I like attention, but this picture isn't fake. Now I'm not encouraging you to break the bug abuse rule, but since nobody really gets an unfair advantage when trying out this bug, I think it is allowed to try it out - believe me - it IS a bug. I will end this with another scary thuoght: Could it be that Jagex doesn't receive our reports on rule 7? Could it be that the servers just tells us that the report has been sent, but that it hasn't? Is this the reason why macroers are ruining out game? I would like to hear your opinion. P.S As a fair player, I did actually report this to Jagex, so I think and hope they'll get it fixed soon. ~Joe

Rule-breakers People ending a price discussion with "noob" People following me to buy my Blue Halloween Mask, and I do actually let them offer, and I tell them nicely that 27 coins and a spade isn't quite enough, and then they trade again and add some raw chicken... And I say "No thanks", and they call me a noob Ohh yeah, and if you change the 27 coins to 2700k and the spade to a rune 2 handed sword, you'll get the offers i get from level mid-70 to 80 members who actually also end the talk with "noob" Then I'm really annoyed when people follow me and say, not hello or hi, but "Main lvl?" and I'm still polite and I say "This is my only account", and guess what they say at the end? "Noob" So... I guess it's the word "Noob" that annoys me... AND the other things I just mentioned :D

A while ago, some guy asked me if I would help him with a quest. He needed dye. So I made him follow me, and a while later, we picked up all the stuff we needed, and Aggie made us some dye. He was so happy, that he went to his bank, and took out 513 Pheonix Crossbows! He gave them to me, and since then I've been asking people for some. The highest donation so far is 102, and the rest I got in exchange for helping people through The Shield Of Arrav. I'm a merchant as well, and when you're a merchant with a fair amount of cash, you get some pretty powerful amounts of the things you're buying. I wouldn't call this "Collecting", since I sold them all afterwards (for profit :thumbsup: ) but I like the picture. It's not the highest I've had, though. Once my buyer of coal wasn't on for a couple of weeks, so I kept buying and buying and buying - I ended up at 26k coal. Luckily, he came back on, and I made lots of money! But I'm talking too much, enjoy my pictures in all their glory! :roll:

Its happened before... several times. However there are many players with offensive names that are not banned... :wall: Oh JaGex Owwwwhh! That's why my event-account got banned! I made an account for some halloween party with my friends, and it got banned. If you've ever heard "The Monster Mash", an oldie by Bobby "Boris" Pickett, you'll notice he calls the band that plays "Coffinbangers"... I made an account called "Coffinbanger"... Wow... Do you really think Jagex found that offensive? Oh my... Well, I don't blame them... Coffin-Banger... You get the point... It wasn't meant like that though... -.-

Wait a sec... You can actually get banned because of your name? So if my name is offensive, I could get banned?

i tried, you cant... Yes, you can. You have to be in the jail though... Could someone please tell me where that bank is..? It's south of al klarid where you enter that desert place. Talk to shantay and say that you came to kill them all. He will put you in jail and if you don't have any money on you, You will be able to access your bank and withdraw money. If you don't have any money at all... You will be thrown in the port sarim prison :) Thanks :D

Okay, macroers, scammers and all rule-breakers of course, BUT there's one thing that really annoys me, but can't be changed; stupidity. Jagex can't make an update that makes people smarter or something, but sometimes it makes me just want to log out, don't bother playing when people are on a level of stupidity that says moron. I'm not thinking of the people who ask for directions, it's okay to be new to the game, but when I see a level 110+ calling me a noob 'cause I'm 107+ levels lower than him, and by far richer than him is just driving me insane. OR when people are talking foreign languages. Okay, some people log on to a dutch server and speak dutch to each other... Big deal... But when one of them starts bombarding me with some language I've never even heard of, and keeps talking to me, even though I've said "English, please" or "I don't understand..." and then calls me a NOOB 'cause I don't seem to get his begging-for-money point! So what can I say? Is it the word "Noob"? I guess it is... Now I'm asking you... Can anybody define this word? I've been told it is... A new player A low level An annoying player So... When I walk around with my rares, am I new? Not likely. If I got them when they were dropped, I've been playing for a while... If I've bought them, I've payed many millions, can a new player have millions? I don't think so... Am I low level? Yes... I'm level 3. I happen to be 80 mining, is that low? Nope... It's quite good. Am I annoying? I didn't say anything. I was just walking with my rare and the level 113 called me a noob. Hmmn... I still don't know what a noob is then... According to the players of RuneScape, I'm a noob every time they see me... STUPIDITY - THE SILENT KILLER OF RUNESCAPE!

I would'nt say that I got someone to hack it if I were you or that he gave it to you 2 Jagex rules broken might get reported :-w It's actually 3 rules, since he's trading real life money for RuneScape, which leaves him breaking the password scamming rule, the account trading rule, the real life item trading AND it might even be encouraging others to break rules, since he got his friend to do it, and not himself... Wow... Many broken rules :shame:

Once, while merchanting ores, a level 4 logges on, and says "Selling coal, 120 each!" I trade him, he offers 1000 noted coal, I offer 120k and I accept. In the second trade window I see 100 coal instead of 1000... I report him, and continue merchanting. About 10 minutes later, he logged back on. I traded him, and here's when it became funny. He offers 1000 coal, and I, knowing he'll change it to 100, offer 12k, he changes it to 100, I accept, he accepts, I accept again, he accepts again and, yup... I just bough 100 coal for 12k, 120 each! He logged out right after the trade, he probably thought he'd scammed me... Ohh yeah! That day was really awesome; I'd fooled a scammer, yet without scamming him myself... I just gave my offer :P AND I got 100 coal for 120 each :) Pretty neat, huh?

Okay, so I was walking in Varrock, and I saw a level 20-something. Some level 30, 40 and 50s were making fun of him, calling him all kind of thing. I felt sorry for him, and decided to make him some mithril armor. I talked to him and he followed me to Falador, where I mined some coal and mithirl. He waited outside the guild, and when I was done, I went to the bank to get my hammer. As we enter the bank, I see a guy. "Selling sliced bananas, 10k each!" "Weird" I thought, while entering my bank. I took my hammer, and as i closed the bank window, I saw the level 20-something I was helping out say "Nooooo!" "What's wrong?" I asked him. Turns out he had bought sliced bananas for 10k hoping to sell it to another guy in the bank for 500k. When he bought the bananas, both guys logged out and he was scammed. I told him about the many scammers in RuneScape, and that he should look out for people like this. Anywho, we went to Doric's, I made him some mithril items, and we walked back to the bank. We saw the same two scammers, they didn't even change world! I told him to report one, and I'd report the other. Feeling a bit guilty, since I was the one who dragged him to Falador, where he was scammed, I gave him 10k. :
